Recently I found some settings by which my phone xperia u became smoother and performance was enhanced ( quadrant score went beyond 3000 for first tym)
Go to developer options
1.Set background process limit from standard to 2
2.Enable gpu rendering
These settings do work
Just check ur benchmark scores before n after to confirm
Press thanks if this helped
It doesn't helped much but round 100 points more in Antutu
working. I never saw my Flipboard so fast like it is now. My Quadrant improve from 2400+ to 2900+. I think this works especially with simple apps like face, flipboard, etc.
While you may get better performance in particular apps, because of it closing down other apps so all have a bit more free ram. You do loose out on the multi tasking front, and when opening apps after each other the phone will have reload the app info.
I prefer having my most used apps still open and running. So that they open right away, rather than having to wait a second or two for the app to launch again.
But it depends how you use your phone I guess
Try again it will cross 3000
Forcing 2d acceleration makes your 2d quadrant score higher, that's all.

Besides it also enhances performance in applications ( quadrant being one of them)

I can recommend this, if you want to have the Nexus live wallpaper
Not sure if it's been fixed yet, but in the version I used, touch interaction was odd. Instead if the usual Nexus thing, the animation just sped up like crazy, until all the thingies were gone off the screen :|

Btw i'm new to this all :] :good:
thanks
This looks awesome giving it a try asap.
As you know, Android integrated a Memory Management Mechanism that allow system to kill some apps to free RAM for those RAM-tiger apps like games and browsers.
That's good, but it's quite annoying sometimes, when I quit a game or browser the home launcher always take several seconds to reload icons and widgets.
I hope Launcher,Contacts,Phone,SMS these frequently-used apps can be LOCKED INTO RAM so it can starts quickly when I need it.
So I'm looking for some app can Lock app into RAM, but I've found nothing I want.
Then I remembered there is a Memory Management function in DX Toolbox might be useful more or less.
There is 4 settings in DX Toolbox:
first is system default setting(can not be changed), and the other 3 are DX Toolbox's 3 different settings:

}
There is only 19+29+24+37+49+43=201mb RAM of the system default setting:
but there is 227+113=340mb RAM in total of my ROM:
So I modified one of the settings like this, 30+30+65+65+70+80=340mb:
Then I just wanna know am I correct.....?
And how should I set these values.....?

Pim My Rom can lock apps in the memory - but I don't think it's that useful because Ray only has 512mb.
The latest CM10 build is very fast - so much so that I don't really think such tweaks are really necessary.
Ultimately the Ray is not a power user phone, I'm amazed what the developers here have managed to do, but it's limited by its hardware and can only be taken so far.
Nothing will work for it since xperia ray only have 400mb ram "why you guys say 512mb? check by your self thats a sony lie sometimes we have only 358mb" the only thing xperia ray users can do for ram is use some apps who can help the only one's i found are:
Ram Manager Pro
Speed booster
Ram booster pro
Those one's are the only hope to get a... decent ram management

I am sharing this app because not to gain thanks i want people benefit from this
I also tried One Power Guard after seeing it mentioned on a recent XDA TV episode. For me it seems to slow things down, which was probably a problem with the way I have things set up (I wonder if this was caused by a combination of One Power Guard and my use of Link2SD?). I installed it and the slow-down went away.
This should be posted in the Themes/Apps board. This app looks pretty good, the overlay on the home screen is awesome. Do you use it in conjunction with the built in power saver or do you just use this app?

Hi Everyone,
Looking for some feedback from the forum.. please help.
I've always felt my phone ran very hot compared to other devices but I recently clocked it at 40 °C using GSAM.
I should note i've made some changes recently, including installing (and playing) Dungeon Hunters as well as Nova Launcher and a few homescreen widgets. I don't use a live wallpaper. Has anyone had their device run that hot ? I'm wondering if this is a software or hardware driven issue and if this warrant a service call (warranty/exchange).
help.. this phone is giving me sweaty ballz.

If your phone gets hot then this is an indication that your processor and/or GPU has to work pretty hard for some reason. It could be a background app that uses a lot of CPU power (had that once myself). Best way is to indicate what uses your cpu when your phone gets hot.
So install an App that will monitor your CPU and that will tell you what app uses your cpu to what extend.
You can use this App for example:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEwOSwiY29tLmVvbHdyYWwub3Ntb25pdG9yIl0.
I also have the same issue. I visited to sc they changed my battery nd motherboard ( phone was also heating). But still same my cpu usage is only 5-18% but battery temp is 41c.

Try to install the app Greenify, that you can put the program that you don't close to hibernate. I was having this problem and after this solved. Just to remember that i did a defrag with anothet app too.
Any apk , or a name of apk, to show up in the left corner the temp ??

Cant believe that this is normal, but when I scroll, the font/icons become blurry. I googled about it and the only answer I found is, that old Amoled had this problem. But even my Galaxy S3 is crystal clear when scrolling. It's like a motion-blur effect in vertical direction when scrolling vertically.
Do you have this problem too? Actually it's one some of my old displays too, but I dont expect it on an IPS panel from 2016...
Try this
Settings/Developer Options/ Tick on "Force GPU Rendering" this should make your Android phone smoother/snappier!
If root available try L Speed/Entropy/fstrim apps found on Play Store!
LG G5 & LG V20 are snappy beasts and are well optimised with Snapdragon 820 and is better than Samsung.
Thanks for posting this standard answer again like you did before on another thread No this does not do anything, like I told you before. No it's not rooted, and trim does not affect how the display works. Are you even posting stuff you copy paste from somewhere else?

You see the double frames, in my oppinion the display just has not 60hz/fps or has horrible input lag / refresh timings.
