Hi there, just recently clean-installed CM 9.1. The version of gapps that I flashed was the latest (gapps-20120429). I read somewhere that CM 9.1 and/or gapps latest contain Face Unlock for phones with a front cam. But, Face Unlock is still unavailable in screen security. Any ways to get face unlock working?
As I can see you have LWW, i have Xperia Mini Pro and i have Face Unlock in CM9.1

How's that? Is Face Unlock dependent on gapps or the ROM? I suspect that it's the ROM, but read somewhere that the latest gapps brings you Face Unlock blah blah..
check out whthr it appears after signining into Google account.... if not. ...reflash the rom and flash gapps before first boot...nd login to Google account on the first prompt

I tried it. Didn't work. Signed into Google and all, but Face Unlock is still missing. Anyone with a LWW who does have FU working on CM9? Or maybe there's an add-on that's compatible with CM9?
Gapps and face unlock are in separate .zip so you have to first download gapps then face unlock and flash them in cwm.

Hi P768 user, I've built CM 10.1.3 RC2 for P768. Now it run on my phone.
I use CM 10.1.3 RC2 source and I'll build rom only from RC or stable branch. I use Asia region for GPS configuration, so it may have problem with users in South America. I didn't add any performance boost, it pure CM with disable sdcard emulation. Plus fixed keyboard layout for Home wake feature (Enable/disable in Display setting).
If someone interest to test it I'll post it soon.
OK, I don't think I need more test because I only disable sdcard emulation on this rom. So I decide to publish it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438223
If there're bugs it almost come from CM 10.1.3 RC2 bugs because I don't touch anything in kernel or rom code (except disable sdcard emulate). I use P760 device tree as base for P768 and almost every configuration are the same so there should be no problem in that part either.
For GPS I just look into cm gps config and found that all configuration are the same so it should work on all regions.
I tried your rom.. it works fine until when I flash gapps... i get AOSP keyboard force close...
my phone is a p768.. bootloader unlocked..Philippine Version
wrong gapps perhaps?? BTW. good job on the porting.

Did you do full wipe before installing?
You can try to clear dalvik cache and cache in CWM then reboot.
I don't think a clean installation will get that error. Can you tell me which link you download (multiupload or dev host) so I can try to test it? And please file md5 to make sure that your download is valid.
For google apps you should flash a latest version for JB in the link I posted.
EDITED: For Gapps i downloaded from Goo.im (the link you provided for gapps).. for the rom I downloaded from multiupload...hmm.. I'll try to download and flash again... I used clean install method..

hmmm.. Now I get it.. the Gapps you provided is for JB 4.3.0 but your rom is still 4.2.2 that's why the keyboard won't work when I flash Gapps.. Got mine working now! Thank you for your efforts Sir Artit! YOU DA BEST! :good:

edit : Oh I see, my gapps link is wrong. Updated to the right version for JB 4.2.2.
Hi, does anyone know of any rom that allows the 'ok google' voice command to work from any screen. With the current custom lollipop rom I have installed the option to enable the voice control from any screen is missing from the ok google detection settings.

If you mean this option in the screen, I'm using AICP 12.1 android 7.1.1, no other mods or apps installed just the rom and the gapps from opengapps.

Thanks for the reply, can I ask what version of gapps you installed with that rom, I could only use the smallest one (nano version I think).
Also have you used any tools to re-partition your s2.

1-U must repartition your phone if you want to install LineageOS 14.1 or any rom based on it like AICP 12.1.
2-i used PC to repartition, there is also a guide for non-PC users.
3-i used open gapps nano for arm android 7.1, date 17/12/2016, i believe there is no difference between this gapps or any newer version, so you can download the latest one directly.

Cheers for the help, all sorted, reason why the rom wouldn't complete installing was because I hadn't re-partitioned it, installed first time after I'd completed that stage..
Needed the ok google from any screen for my dad who's blind and now he can change radio stations on tune in radio via the ok google command.

I hope you both are fine, i just want to inform you, if you are using AICP 12.1, Fm Radio is fixed in the Feb 2nd 2017 aicp build, it wasn't working before this build.

If its custom miui bsed rom then dev might have removed gapps.
Just flash that miui rom with gapps using latest twrp.

First uninstall all Google apps, then search YouTube and download & install it in miui app store and you will get Google play installed. If you don't have that app then try factory reset in rec and install opengapps again.

Flash nano gapps then you'll get trused face and trust agent..
