Gents...
Is it possible to link the ring and notification volume these days (stock jellybean)
If not is it possible to adjust the notification volume to match the ringer volume using tasker?
Cheers

Hey, any idea on how I can configure the phone to silence all volumes including media volume when you put it on vibrations?

Right now i do it manually using Quick Settings (free from mkt)
But you have to mute each one manually. its still fast though. have a shortcut.
How can we link ring tone and notification volumes like in gingerbread? I lower the volume but just the ring tone lowers, I'm looking for both volumes to lower at the same time.
Am I missing something or maybe an app can help

Can we do that in stock ICS rooted. Or do I need to use sms app for that?
I can't hear my sms notifications.
turn your volume up... The buttons found on the left hand side of your phone then notice the settings button on the right of your screen (when volume slider pops up) press that and change what you like.

Hmm... only thing I can think of is there is a mod here on xda somewhere which increases the overall volume of the phone...

I find myself hitting a brick wall in the way Samsung chose to deal with volume control. It seems if you set the ringer off it forces notifications to be off as well. I can't overcome this behavior with Tasker
Does anybody here know how to get around this as Cyanogen may be some time in coming.
Even when u hit the volume key and tape the settings icon and adjust the ringer and notification volume, still does that?

That does work but the moment you set the ringer to off it just disables the notification volume as well and ghosts it so you can't change it. Under other roms you can have a seperate notification volume while the ringer is turned off.
Is there a way to over ride this with root?
I see what u mean. I don't think my s3 did this. This phone does a lot of things differently. I can't get lock screen Short cuts with any security enabled lock screen for example. Seems like "holes" in touch wiz
