yes bro... but in file manager i don't find that folder it only visible in gallery....
hahah
You can delete multiple pictures at once in gallery. On the page that has the index of all pictures in a folder, pick More, then Delete. You can then select as many pictures as you want to delete.
Or take your sd card out and use a computer.

I see. In that case, I'd use a file explorer on my computer after plugging in my sd card. You could also use your phone by using something like ES File Explorer, although I work faster on my computer.

Hi all!
I just buy LG Omptimus One. I like it. But i have a problem with its. because it can't display picture (copy from PC) on Sdcard when i run gallery, but picture that i capture by camera is ok . Why and How do i fix it!?
Thanks all!
PS: I use room Primev2.
please tell me why !
When you running gallery to see the pictures you copy from the computer to phone sd card, does the USB storage still connected? If yes, disconnect it, and try opening gallery again. If no, where did you copy it? Are there file named .nomedia in that directory?
And please, make the thread title more clearer. Help Me! Cannot view pictures copied from computer is better than just Help Me! IMHO.

I copy picture at folder Wallpapers (I make new folder). I think Gallery will scan all picture in sdcard to display, but it will not (of cause, i checked in my folder doesn't file named ".nomedia". When i run gallary, i don't connect my phone with PC. Help me!
Have you try another application to view it? Like using file manager. Just to make sure that the files is accessible.
you should try to put images into camera's folder (folder name is DCIM)

It doesn't matter where you put it, it will detect images and multimedia from gallery.

Hi,
I quite didnt understand. Is it that you cant see the thumbnails of the pics (that u copied) in the gallery or is it that you cant see even the pics(the names of the pictures) in the gallery?
Try putting the images in a location easier to find such as the root of your sd card and see if that works.
What format are the images you are trying to put on your sd card? Most formats are supported but just in case of incompatiability images. The resolution of the image may also be a factor.
My first word is thanks all

I promise i chosen pics that my phone supported.
i know this seems like a dumb question but i want to make a album and put pics in there. how do i do this on my phone?
Use astro file manager. You are able to create a new directory (folder) and can move all of your pictures into it.
2nd option... Use za computa!

camera will place it in the default folder.... however, if you download a file manager and create a new folder on the sd card you should be able to move the files from one folder to another and then in the Gallery app it will appear as a separate folder or "gallery". Thats how I have been doing it on my android phones for awhile.
Hope that helps.

This. Or go into settings-storage then select unmount sd card and then select mount sd card... That is usually what I do.
did both but still a no go...in astro. where exactly am i supposed to add the folder?
Press the menu button when you are on astro. You should see "create directory". I created a folder called media and placed it in the root of the SD card, then I created sub folders within the folder and placed my videos and pictures in there. Everything worked.
There are a lot of file managers out there.
I've always used AndroZip - they have a free and paid version - and still think it's easier than Astro.
I'm sure it's only because I'm used to it, but it's more "Windowsy" - long press to "right click" and you have a paste button that pops up when something is cut or copied.
The multi-select is easier (imo) than Astro's as well.
Not that downloading a billion different file managers will help, but if you're having trouble...
The only place you CANNOT make the folder...
Is inside ANY folder that has a hidden file in it called .nomedia
If you make a new folder in the root of the SD card, you should be fine. You'll still have to force the Gallery to udpate in order to see them though. Fail safe - power down completely, power back up (probably need to disable fastboot first to be 100% sure, but it should reload the SD card at boot either way).

Great it solved your issue.
And there is a THANKS button for that
what the hell is this file (.thmbdata3) in sd card>dcim>thumbnails.each time i free some space on my sd card ,this file getting bigger and take all the space (sd card becomes full).i dont have that much photos on gallary,so what is the problem???
gt i9000
ics4.0.4dark knight rom 5.5
i added a screenshot to see in attachment
it looks like nobody knows what am i talking about .....i think im going to flash a new rom again
i also have 2 .thumbdata files of 200 MB each in my /DCIM/.thumbnail folder
maybe it`s a bug since i only have few pictures in my phone
Think thats bad!
Think that's bad. I have two thumbdata's both at 2gb each!
My partners Xperia S still had all her old thumbnails in her album even though she has deleted most of her pictures. So I googled how to remove them, the best solution I've found is go into settings, apps, all, media storage and erase the data. When I try to test it on mine the data is only a few mb. No where near 4gb!
Still I'll let you know if I find out.
its like an temp folder on windows, android makes an virtual protokoll from files and something, you can delete these file but its come back ever,i delete these file every day, because im addicted to flash, lol and i haved never problems.so delete it,its safe(my opinion).greeeeeetz
the best solution i found my self is: delete the big file thumbsdata and then never run the stock camera app,if you run it ,the file will be generated again consuming all your free space(me becomes 0 bites free :crying.......of coarse i cannot live without a camera app so i installed fx camera app.... it is good now but if i turn fx cam to video mod the problem comes again(it uses the stock camera app for video ,but not for photos),,,,,so i will not use video record option, until some hero comes with a fix
Yeah! That's it!

Just copy names of that files (thumbdataX--x), delete that files and other files in folder, then create folders named the same as deleted thumdatas. Reboot device. No annoying thumbdata3 (my spend 2Gb) anymore! And look in folders named LOST.DIR (you can find it in the root directory of your internal memory and your SDcard) - huge temporary files may be left in these folders, so delete these files.
Tested on Toshiba Thrive Tablet (ICS). No problems with gallery and camera apps.

new FOLDER with the same name as thumbdata-file
Untile now this works.i dont see any thumpsdata files.

Solution works!
In my opinion that file was related with pic preview directly from camera app, when you click on little thumbnail.
When I deleted it, camera stopped working and that thumbnail was blank until file was recreated, then it worked again (with 2GB pictures and a 2.74GB .thumbdata!)
Now creating the folder with the same name of file stopped that huge file from recreating himself.
I think camera now refers directly to thumbnail files (in thumbnails folder) for preview. Or, if not, that's the same because now I have 2.74GB more on my internal SD!
Yes this is a camer app problem(or bad feature:banghead: ) it takes space more than the photos itself....anyway this is the only way right now to fix it.

I created sub folder named Photos which obviously included all the pictures storage and from camera. I opened two screen in myWin7 pc to easily move the files. Surprised for me the sub folder PHOTOS destapar without any notice. For a while I think could be move to another folder but I revised one by one and nothing happen. I revised Recicle Folder and it's empty.
