What's up everyone. Just rooted my Rezound and wanted to get rid of some of the factory installed apps/games etc....
Is there a list of "YES" and "NO" things that I can uninstall so I don't remove something I shouldn't.
Also I got Root uninstaller from the market, will this app do the trick or should I use something different.
Thanks in advance.

Since your rooted, you could try Titanium Backup. It allows you to "freeze" apps which has a similar effect to actual removal but you can unfreeze them if you need to. There are some old list around but they have not been updated in a long time. I have frozen about 43 user apps--just stay away from system apps.
Good luck.

Thanks I'll give it a shot

Are you rooted? If not get rooted and flash a new rom like CM7/MIUI. If your already rooted you can flash a new rom or use an app like Titanium Backup to hide the apps.
Well i would actually like to remove them. And yes im rooted. On tsm res. right now and it has a few apps i would like to get rid of

Clear data and force stop in app settings. See if that helps

How about completely uninstalling it and doing a fresh install from the market?

The problem is that this from has it as a system app so I can't uninstall it.

Wipe dalvik cache?
Same was happening to me so I uninstalled it using Rom toolbox and reinstalled from market.
Use titanium to turn it into a user app and uninstall it. Long press on the app from within titanium backup, select covert to user app, then uninstall.

I've had mixed results when just hitting uninstall without converting apps to user. Just suggesting the way I've had the most success with

Titanium was great
Upon restoring you have to choose to install each app during the process but that's fine, a lot faster than installing from Market ^^
Titanium backup, choose backup my apps ,and then "tick" app only from menu and press GO!!

I prefer the AOSP phone app myself, but why remove one at all? Just use Titanium Backup to freeze which ever one you don't want to use. That way if a problem comes up with the phone app you choose to keep, you can unfreeze the other.
Cheers!
