Apps crashing - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I am using a S3 JB ROM.
Avfew of my apps keep crashing everytime I visit them for the first time. Like if I open the goal.com app it crashes. Then I open it again and its fine. If I close it and open it it crashes again and the cycle continues.
I have been reporting these but never get a reaponse. Also I have re downloaded the apps several times.
Could there be something wrong with my phone.
Could someone please give me some advice. Thanks.
Fahad

[Q]Downloads disappear after starting?

Anyone else had problems with downloading form the market? When I try to download something, it starts and disappears from the notification bar before it starts to show the percentage done.

Open titanium backup and see if there is any application related to market frozen? If you find frozen app, just defrost it. Also clear the market cache.

I had the problem for a long time. Got the new market and it would actually give me an error message, about insufficient storage.
Info in settings clearly said I had enough, but still constant fails.
Eventually installed link2sd, used it on some apps problem solved.

Turns out my Market App Installer was frozen somehow...defrosted it and it didn't help. Any other ideas?

try this --> wipe data of Market using Titanium backup. You will need to login again in market.
Check if your Google talk is working or not. I came across the same problem and I was advised to log out of gtalk and log in again. That didn't help me. I just flashed the rom over the existing rom. You can also flash gapps if you are on custom rom

Best way is flash Gapps again. It will resolve this issue permanently.

Help!!!!! Adding Contact Force Closes!!

When ever i try to add a contact my contacts app force closes. This happened to me the other day so wiped out the phone and started from scratch and it was fixed. Now randomly today it started to do it again. I just rooted it last night (shouldn't matter). I was trying to add a contact through the go sms app, then i tried again through the normal contacts app and i still can not get it to do anything. Just force closes. Any help to fix this would be great!!!!

logcat works fine without root. Just need ADB running. Try Droid Explorer if you're on Windows.

+1 more. Freezing it in TiBu, then unfreezing it works as well.

[Q] Apps won't download when started from playstore website

Hi all,
I have googled, searched and even called Google themselves but I cannot start a download from my desktop browser and have it install on my phone.
Phone does nothing at all, sits there pretending I haven't asked it to do anything.
The app will appear in My Apps in the play store and I can download and install from the device directly.
I've followed the guidelines on Google website, signing out of talk etc but still no luck.
I did manage to make it work by going back to stock, then flashing SuperNexus but within four days it's broken again.
Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this and how to resolve it?
Try using a different Google account to setup the phone then sign in on the Web

Remove the Google account from the phone, reboot and log in again.
Thanks for the tips but still no joy.
Google refuse to help because I'm rooted!
So when you open play store, it doesn't start automatically?

I sometimes have the same problem. Toggling WiFi or data off then back on seems to do the trick usually.

Nope, sits there doing nothing as if I haven't touched a thing.
The Badger, that somehow managed to sort it! I can't believe such a simple toggle can fix a problem that I've been struggling to sort for a week!
You have my sincerest thanks!!
You're welcome. Glad it helped.

I play Fifa all the time on CM10, never had a problem like you are describing. In your position, I would first try deleting the whole folder and redownloading all 1.5 GB. Maybe some game files have gotten corrupted.

EDIT: I just read your other thread in this section. This could absolutely be the reason Fifa is derping. If the phone thinks it is being plugged into a dock, it will try to route the sound through the (non-existent) dock, etc.

[Q] Gmail App can't download attachments

Hi guys for the past few days my gmail has been having issues with downloading attachments. Ever since I used a program to clean some junk off my phone I have been noticing issues. For example if I can send attachments with no problem but once I go to download an image I sent its a black screen and says *couldn't load image* or if downloading a different file it says "can't download try again." Is there any way I can fix this? I am on a rooted 4.3 stock Samsung ROM. Thank you in advance
I guess no one knows..?
Hey did u uninstall the app and installed it again? Make a restart of your phone. Maybe its a bug from google.
