After adding my facebook account , I could see all my facebook albums in pictures. I want to remove them but its weird that there is no option for that except removing my fb account. any other workaround ?
Nope..everything related to facebook pops into your phone..
including albums of your friends!

I am trying to add my Facebook account to my Atrix. I click on the icon under Settings - > Accounts but nothing happens. I can only add Facebook through Motoblur. Anyway to fix this? The Facebook app from the market works fine and stuff but I don't get any of my contacts sync'd unless I add Facebook to my accounts list.
I too was experiencing this problem, it seems it's been disabled by disabled by motoblur (contacts won't show information from the facebook app such as statuses anyway as it is not the stock contacts app). I found a way around it and was using it temporarily to sync display pictures but since then facebook has been forced by google to remove the sync feature entirely, that function -should- be dead on all android devices at the moment.

well i flashed to coderom v2x-2b but this rom doesn't includes the default sns accounts integration for facebook and twitter contacts, i already tried moving snsprovider.apk and snsaccount.apk into system/app with root explorer, but the option in the accounts and syc menu aren't there...
maybe because this rom is deodex? can someone help me?
what i did is downloaded Friendcaster for Facebook frm market..
so can sync the contacts with the phone..
and for calender reminders Friendcaster notifies me whn the event is trigered..
so pretty much does the trick for me..

EDIT: Even Facebook for android would also do the trick for contact syncing.. if u are not much concerned for calender events..
i am going to try but... i installed the facebook app and it haves contact sync, i can see my contacts display pictures in the contacts list but i can't see those display pictures when someone calls me.
didn't knwd that... i m using fullscreen caller id.. so didn't knwed about the stock incoming screen..
Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble at the moment getting my Facebook contacts profile pictures to show up when sync'ing my contacts with the Facebook for Android app. It sync's the accounts okay because I can still view a contact and it will have a link to their Facebook profile, however it's no longer sync'ing the pictures anymore.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Facebook app and then sync'ing contacts again but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea why that might be? Cheers.
i did had this issue.... i removed the facebook account from social hub & the facebbok app itself..
Settings -> accounts and sync -> then clicking on the account and removing them.
Then first added facebook to social hub...synced it...then pictures were back...then i had to again log on to facebook app...and synced again (this is just to attach the contacts) so that the app can be lauched from contacts itself.

I don't have Social Hub, I froze it in Titanium Backup and it seems to have disappeared. Think I'm going to have to reset the phone.
Just try to delete and readd your Facebook.sync account. And then sync again. That worked for me. I never use the hubs

Cheers for the replies guys. I found out what the problem was, the ROM I had installed had the Facebook sync removed from it. Did a full wipe only to realize this afterwards, all sorted now though.
I have looked far and wide for a solution for this but can't seem to find one ..
I have contact pictures for my contacts that I have chosen and assigned to my contacts manually and are stored as the Google contact picture, I have an issue with the facebook app when it syncs a facebook profile picture update the application forces the contacts default picture to be the facebook picture.
I don't want it to do this, it can change the facebook linked contact picture but why does it have to change the contacts default picture?? Is there some way this can be blocked or stopped from within Android contacts??
This has been prevalent since before I can remember with the facebook app and sync so I'm hoping someone might have some ideas or solutions??
Surely submitting a bug to facebook is not the solution as we SHOULD be able to control and/or lock portions of our contacts details..
When you first time, install the facebook app doesn't it asks about syncing?
If I'm right, it asks like sync with all contacts, don't sync, sync with existing contacts or so .. like that.
I usually selects "Do not sync" and it will not be synced.
But I want to link the FB contacts to my Google Contacts .. just don't want it messing up the default contact picture..

For example, if i can conifgure it so that, first picture used is from facebook if this cannot be found, then linkedin, if cannot be found, then twitter, then google contacts. etc
