For those interested, here is a link to the download the Verizon Galaxy Note II system dump.

Hmm, so can anyone confirm or deny that Verizon GNII has the Multi-Window or not? The Sprint one does not.

I just found some solid evidence within this dump that suggests this phone WILL have the multi-window feature. I'm going to e-mail this picture to other Android websites.

I don't know if it's the newest. Word of warning though. It never worked with the international SGS2 so with it not being pre-installed it may not work on the AT&T version either.

I am looking specifically for the at&t version. I want to see if it works with the I9100.
Anyone get this yet? Really want to try the at&t media hub on my international GS2.
Oops I was able to get it but it doesn't work.
I don't know if anyone is working on it yet, but has anyone looked at making all apps available for multiview like they have in the link below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995697
I downloaded the odexed file and there are only two files. services.odex and FlashBarService.apk .... unfortunately I'm not sure what either of those files do so I haven't replaced them on my phone yet to give them a try.
Can anyone give some insight on whether they think that the international versions files (just those two) would be similar to ours?
Just hoping to get some brain storming going to see if this can be figured out.

Looks like services.jar and FlashBarService.apk are the two modified looking at the other Note variants mods.

I don't know for sure that they won't work, I'm not brave enough to risk it either, but from a lot of the discussion i've read on rooting the phone, the international version is more different from the Verizon version than it looks like on the surface. I'm sure whatever edits need to be made to give our devices this ability are very similar, just unlikely to be exact, but that's just a semi-educated guess really.
As for whether or not it's being worked on? Absolutely. I know beanstown106 is working on adding that and I've read posts from other people tinkering with those files as well trying to add that functionality. Considering several developers have been working on it, but nothing is released yet, I'd say it's safe to assume the international versions do not work on the Verizon version. The development discussion would be pointless if it did, and these are pretty smart guys who I'm sure thought of that already.
I know it would be a long shot that those files would work in our device, maybe we can look into the files to see what was changed and make those changes on our system.
Just read the rest of your post... if others are working on it then this thread can be deleted if it's pointless.
Just very excited for this feature.

Well aware of that. I'm more interested in decompiling the APK and jar and viewing what changes they have made.

Is that achievable with Tizen on Verizon?

IIRC it was achieved with the gear 1 & 2.. Not a whole lot of options but hopefully achievable with the S. Check those forums for more info

Yes root is possible but you can't shange much on Tizen the email issue you would have to root your phone to the latest email. not GS it pulls from your phone. Root for GS will give us little things like custom ringtones some color fonts ect. But yes root has been done on Gear 2 and gear 1 (android)
And some peoples emails are fine it depends on your carrier
This will be my favorite thread. Lol
I'm sure we will get it. May take a little time. But don't think it will be far off from Gear 2.

Gear S Stock Firmwares Make Rooting Fun ...
So, the stock firmwares are available for the SM-R750/R750B(Brazil)/R750D(DoCoMo/Japan)/R750J (KDD/Japan)/R750T (T-Mobile USA)/R750W (Canada/Peru/other randoms).
I don't see anything from AT&T though (SM-R750A) which is what I have. I'm not going to be able to do anything to it, like trying for Root, until stock firmware is available ... Has anyone with one of the above models been working on making any progress?
I'm downloading the T-Mobile firmware to bust it open and see what's in there.

I downloaded T-Mobile (SM-R750T) from Samsung Updates. Not sure I am allowed to link to it but they have all of the ones available except AT&T (SM-R750A) which I just don't understand! Anyway I haven't had a lot of time to pick apart the .img files because I had to get my VMWare up and running so I could install Yaffers blah blah blah.
No stock firmware from Verizon?
Oh yeah!!! I'm sorry I forgot. No stock for Verizon or Sprint either. T-Mobile only. So ... Until that happens ... Be careful!!!

Ask for it from Sammobile.com. That's how I got AT&T's.
I don't think root is going to happen for this device at least not from XDA users. People are just into watch faces right now which is fine but no one is modding.

Agreed. I wonder if flashing a custom rom on an international to unlock the VZW bands, if possible, then using a dummy imei to swap it with a vzw imei would work.

Yeah idk
If gaining root were as easy as changing apn settings, the bootloader would b unlocked probably. The issue is partly HARDWARE related. Different carriers ship their devices with slightly different components on the board. That's why when u take the battery out, u see carrier branded stickers and printing. And, the key needed to unlock the bootloader is encrypted in a way that attempting to crack it will result in the device not even booting due to the fact that certain security checks are performed in an order that depends on the previous checks in the boot sequence to be valid before moving on to the next check. So...If you're not already rooted...pray. That's all u can do.
The phone is far from a flagship device. I think the expectation is that most people are moving on to newer devices this year. Personally, I'm not liking the trend of single body phones with "premium materials" very much so I'll wait to see what else is it there.
Such a shame that VZ took this direction with their business instead of embracing the dev community.

What?
Finding a root exploit to a locked down device is not the same as a road trip to New Jersey! You cannot ask "Are we there yet!"
Everyone knows at exactly the same time..when it is discovered, tested and released.

I wonder if these mdk s4's are still worth anything?
Hmm.. On swappa maybe $10-20 more than a regular s4.
Can't even find any on ebay. Guess this phone has truly reach EOL.
How do they even get away with this without class action LS.. probably because too may people like me buying before they take the time to work out that they're selling gizmos loaded with bloatware, boobytrapped to keep it that way.

You *can* root the s4 i454 on lollipop. Use kingroot.apk and switch to SuperSU. Google that... It takes a few steps (on the switch)
