Hey, People I'm Fayzann from Pakistan and I have a good news for those people who are using Jelly Bean on Samsung GALAXY S III full of lag and delay. Usually the Automatic Updates are not stable version for your S III.
Here are the steps in order to get Stable version of JB for S III.
Things your should have at the moment:
- Installed Kies
- Non Rooted
- Full Battery
- Your Data should be fully Back-up
STEPS:
1. First of all connect your S III to PC with the original Data Cable.
2. Connect mode should be Media Device.
3. Connect your phone to Kies
4. Open Kies

8. Data backup window will pop-up, if you have already backup your stuff then you should click "Skip Backup" if you didn't then you should click create backup.
9. After then you'll see a window downloading firmware upgrade it will take short time,
10. After then last window will pop-up it will download the package software which will take hours to download.
It will install automatically through Samsung Kies,

I would like to upgrade my phone to the official Ice Cream Sandwich update for the UK. I plugged in my Galaxy S2 which is still on the stock rom it came from the shop with. It's a generic unlocked SIM phone. I was greeted with this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When I click update, I accept the terms and conditions etc and click 'start upgrade', and it starts downloading the firmware upgrade components. Once it is done downloading, it asks for administrator settings. A few seconds later after approving it, it returns to the start page of Kies and then presents me with the exact same prompt as in the picture. This cycle has happened several times now, and I've tried to run Kies with administrator settings which hasn't helped. No changes have happened to my phone at all.
Although I have flashed ROMs onto my old Galaxy S, I would like to avoid using Odin as much as possible for my S2 for various reasons. I haven't even rooted this one and have had no need to do so. If any of you could suggest a way to fix this or something that I've missed so I can update without using Odin I would be very grateful. I suppose if there really is no alternative (Kies being the buggy software that it is) then I will resort to using Odin.
Hopefully this is in the correct section. Thanks.
You might want to blank out your mobile number You wouldnt want to be inundated with unwanted txt's off of strange XDA users
Thanks, didn't notice that
Search for CHECKFUS
Then download that firmware direct and flash via Odin will rule out Kies problems .

Geez, colourful post, looks like a selling ad.
Now, have you tried update via OTA (over the air)?
That image with the android logo is called "download mode", you can enter by pressing power button + home button + vol down at the same time. There you can flash whatever ROM you want.
My advice is, instead of posting this kind of post, read the forum and learn about updates, modes and whatnot.
It'll take you a couple of hours, yes, but that info just cannot harm you.
