Well if you are not able to find one..then you will have to download the Stock ROM from here and extract the kernel..pack it in a tar file and then use it..

Download the rom, extract the kernel zip. Google will help with the tar file.

Inside the Rom .zip you will get a tar.md5 file..open it using winrar..extract the boot.img...pack it in a tar file..Google is your friend here...

I know how to create a tar file. Is that really all, nothing else?
Only boot.img into a tar and then flash with Odin ?

Yes. If you have a tar.md5 file just use this one it's the perfect format.
Perhaps a simple search could have helped... http://androidadn.com/2012/09/how-to-convert-img-files-to-tar-md5-to-do-a-flash-with-odin3/

Abhi,
is this what you referring to?
Use NANDROID backup instead of FTF. Cooking ROM from FTF is very lengthy procedure.

Copy "System.yaffs2.img" file from your memory card CWM backup folder to your PC local drive and extract it using "unyaffs.exe" for that give command "unyaffs system.yaffs2.img". It will extract your system folders and files. After extracting complete delete "lost-found" and "sd" folder if present.

Arey yaar why you need system.img! Create new folder in kitchen and give it name as WORKING_XXX and put these system folders and files which you have extracted from system.yaffs2.img and also put the META-INF folder and Kernel (boot.img) in your WORKING_XXX folder. After that start DSIXDA kitchen and change the updater-script into update-script. Now you can able to modify your ROM as you want. After your modification complete change the update-script to updater-script. Go to META-INF folder and edit updater-script and remove following line :
assert(package_extract_file("boot.img", "/tmp/boot.img"),
write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img", "boot"),
delete("/tmp/boot.img"));

Now select 99 build your ROM. Thats it!

Go this link download the kernel files and flashtool files...extract them using 7zip file manager..check firmware subfolders and you will find ftf files. Thats the kernel file about 6-7MB size. Cheers

It is clearly written in the instructions - "Flash kernel in zip only". So, download the zip, and look for the kernel in the zip.

Open original rom with WinRAR or 7zip, overwrite the boot.img file with the kernel you want to add, flash the rom.
