[Q] Jetpack Joyride no sound issue. - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I've recently downloaded one of my favourite games from Apple which is Jetpack Joyride.
When I played it, there was no volume what so ever.
Volume was up to max, etc. But nothing.
So, I flash stock ROM and sound was there.
Flash custom ROM, sound works
But when I installed the AC!D Audio Technology v3.0, sound was gone.
I have everything set up and I really do not want to reflash everything, restore things and re-customized my phone.
So is this an issue from AC!D Audio Technology v3.0? Because I know for sure it's not the game.
What I was thinking though is that I am missing a certain sound file to make the sound work.
Any ideas?

have tried to trace the contents of ACID 5.0 in your optimax? have you tried to delete them... try to delete similar components of acid 5.0 and the contented of optimax... then flash optimax in your phone followed by ACid 5.0...

[APP] BEATS™Manager

NOTE: This is just a DSPManager mod done by me, The original is done by Cyanogen.
BEATS™Manager - A Modded Beats version of DSP Manager.
You will need to at least follow the Lib Installation for the app to work fully, The beats file shared below is the new audio add on which improve everything.
=App Installation=
Download the apk below, paste BEATS™Manager.apk onto system/app using root explorer, and change permissions of file to rw-r-r.
=Lib Installation=
Download dsp_manager-ICS.zip below, flash it in recovery, using root explorer, go to system/app/dspmanager and delete it.
=Installation of BEATS™ files (not a must, test build)=
PS. sorry for not being able to make a flashable file yet, i try to get it done in a few days time.
Download BEATS™Manager-ICS files.zip below, Extract them slowly to each folder as stated in there and changing their permissions to rw-r-r.
NOTE - do not extract vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf or etc/audio_effects.conf.
Reboot.
It work's for stock and custom Rom.
V.1
First release by me. DSP ICS Lib below.
v.1.2
Improve audio, Bugs fix.
Is this mod affects the bass performance?
Edit: I mean does it have any difference compared to original DSPmanager?
This is the lastest DSP Manager, it sound better then the old one, I didn't touch what CM did so it's the same as the lastest but theme differently.
Edit: by lastest I think it's the one in CM10

Wow!!!...thanks dude...awesome works...
Will this work in stock ICS 4.0.4 or it's only for cyanogen only? Please be specific when you are postng mod so that more people can test it in their compatible device.
It work's for stock and other Rom.

Thankx a lot.It works on stock ICS 4.0.4.If anyone is interested then this mod gives u an option to choose beats manager when selecting sound enhancements. So basically will have two enhancements to choose from.one is beats and another is default walkman one.Enjoy!.
Awesome! Thanks dude!
There seems to be a bug in this app.The volume up/down keys decreases volumes drastically and it's too low.The default walkman sound also won't let open sound enhancement due to this mod.It gives error saying i have installed another app and remove it before using it.On stock ICS 4.0.4 with xperia s walkman mod.

What about the bugs:
There seems to be a bug in this app.The volume up/down keys decreases volumes drastically and it's too low.The default walkman sound also won't let open sound enhancement due to this mod.It gives error saying i have installed another app and remove it before using it.On stock ICS 4.0.4 with xperia s walkman mod.
I can't use this mod due to vloume increase/decrease bug and not able to use default sound enhancements.
Part of the Reason there's a bug in the app is, it's missing some DSP files which i forgotten that it is needed. I will upload a the original DSP flashable file in a min.
EDIT: new fix is out, if someone is free, help me make a flashable zip. thanks.
My default music player app becomes non-response

After installing the above Beat_Manager.apk, dsp_Manager-ICS.zip, and BEATS™Manager-ICS files.zip,
my default music player app becomes non-response when I try to open it ...
Does any one have the backup of these files (vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf, lib/soundfx/*.so, etc/audio_effects.conf ) ?
Thanks a lot ...... :crying:

I don't think problem is with the vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf, my music player is also xperia S walkman but with lots of tweaks, upload your's audio_effects.conf, i take a look.

1. The zip has an old updater script. either replace it using one of the compatible script or flash through CWM.
2. Well in 2nd tab you have a recovery.zip which will remove all the mods. Did you download it?
3. Just try one zip at a time to know which zip causes problem. And always take a nandroid when trying out mods.

2)yes if you mean the "rescue package" i have installed it before but where can find it through CWM ? and just flash it to remove the mods ?
3)yes,the problem happened after "X-loud and clear audio" mod , but what is the nandroid ?
now i restored the rom again as i didnt know about "recovery zip" ,but i still want Beats audio and X loud with clear audio so i wanna have safe way to undo changes if i fall in this trouble again, thnxx for helping
The pimpmyrom rescue package zip is at the root of sd card.it will remove all tweaks and mods.I dont think it removes apps(correct if wrong)

Yeah that's not where u activate it from. Preferably freeze the stock audio effects app by using root titanium backup. If not just switch off the stock audio effects. Then go into the viper fx/xhifi app and see driver status. If it says NO then enable the drivers after which u will have to reboot. Do the same for both the apps
After that u may see viper in the sound settings panel too

OK
1) go to the original link and download the apks for viperfx and viper xhifi.
2) use root browser lite and and go to system-> app directory and delete any other audio mod eg. Dsp manager or the stock audio effects. (Optional step)
3) if u were not able to do the above just switch off any audio effects profile
4) go to your downloads folder and install the viper fx app first normally. Open that app and click on install /update driver (choose cortex a9 with NEON)
After installing it will ask to reboot. Do not reboot right now
5) then go the viper xhifi app and install (choose cortexax with NEON) and update driver. It will ask to reboot. Now reboot.
The basics are done.
If u want really high quality profiles for playing with cheap earphones go to the original link and download the convolver samples. Transfer then to the phone and place all of them in the SD card/viper4 android/kernel folder.
If u still did not understand pm me with all the details eg. Your ROM and your audio mod, and where exactly u do not understand

[Q] Audio/equilizer issue

I want to hear my music with more bass and on paranoid android(screenshot with yellow equalizer) it works great but on cyanogenmod or pacman(screenshot with blue equalizer) it does not work or at least there is no big diffrent, all three roms based on Android 4.3 and uses Dsp Manager.
On the Picture you can see that they use diffrent frequents, so how can I bring that "good" equalizer on pac-man and cyanogenmod? I allready replaced the /system/libs/soundfx folder with the folder from paranoid and all files in /system/libs that sound like they are importent for audio but it did not work.
Anyone an Idea?
And sorry for my bad english, I only learned it in school.

Viper works on most JB kexec roms - I used it a longer time. Make sure you install it the right way like described in its thread.
I tried ViperFX but it is still not as good as the pre installed when it is working.

Gotta Remove anything that has to do with DSP manager first before the install...then install the two viper apks, then driver when asked. Viper works great on the stock .16 rom...surpassing DSP managers sound quality in CM10...I also installed Apollo on the stock rom.

[SOUNDMOD][SurroundSound][XSP]UPDATE V1.2 11-11

Hi all, I have modded the Xperia SP snd_soc_msm_2x file so that it will use earpiece aswell as loudspeaker while playing music, watching youtube etc.
I found this on monivan's stereomod thread for the xperia Z (which i have) and I find it so cool that I wanted this on my sister's XSP so now I'm sharing here with you!
Also, want to make clear that @monivan did make the initial test file for XSP.
Without him i probably didn't make this for you guys!
First of all, PLEASE DO A BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT FILE BEFORE PROCEEDING!!
It is located in /system/etc/snd_soc_msm/snd_soc_msm_2x
DISCLAIMER:
Everything you do is your choice, if you missing any important call or getting fired because of alarm didn't work, you busting your earpiece or thermonuclear war starts off and you point your finger at me, I will laugh at you.
I take no responsibility for your actions.
REQUIREMENTS :
-Rooted phone with busybox installed
-Stock rom (may also work on AOSP/CM, don't know try it yourself and let know here)
NOTE: THESE ARE NOT FLASHABLE ZIP FILES!
How to install:
1. Download SurroundSound-xx-xx.zip file.
(links available in download section)
(if not available request desktop version)
2. Move your stock/current snd_soc_msm_2x from /system/etc/snd_soc_msm to any location on your sd card.
3. Unzip the zip file you just downloaded and copy to /system/etc/snd_soc_msm
4. And set correct permission rw-r-r a.k.a. 0644
Like this:
XX0
X00
X00
5. Reboot
6. Turn down your volume before using and increase slowly to test safely.
I tuned volume values so that sound is not distorting at all kind of genres, with any music player at full volume with no equaliser settings active.
But please be careful using this!!
To test if it works see: Left/Right Stereo Audio/Visual Test.: http://youtu.be/dvqbq_0jZ_U
Have fun!
V 1.1
-Added a low frequency filter to prevent distortion
-little lower volume, especially with Xloud off
-Optimised layout
V 1.2
-Added Multiple versions to better fit anybody need's

Ok I reuploaded the file just to be sure.
About loudspeaker: there is not supposed to be changes in that, this mod links the earpiece to loudspeaker to play together.
You can test this by putting your finger on the back speaker to cap it off while playing music, or see this: Left/Right Stereo Audio/Visual Test.: http://youtu.be/dvqbq_0jZ_U
About your headphones: I have changed nothing to that, only to speaker and earpiece.
You can try replacing your original file and disable v4a, test, then replace it with this mod and test again
Anyone tried on cm ? My loudspeaker got damaged and im out of warranty xD

I've tested on both aosp and stock rom, are you sure your speaker is damaged?
Did you have any other audio modification installed? Any equalizer settings?
Maybe you can try to reset those or flash another rom and try this again. To make sure

So you did have cm DSP manager bass enhancement activated when trying this?
I'm asking this so that it can warn others maybe.
Also, you mean the speaker on the back of the phone? Loudspeaker?
Coz that's strange since I didn't increase volume for back speaker.
doubt
How much battery does it drain ?

Depends on volume and how many music / movies you play. But I don't think it consumes much.
Updated OP with new link and changelog. Not tested yet, let know how it goes!
Which the responsible line and the loudspeaker and voice recording?

Will look into that, but first I'm digging in creating better sound quality.
Although manual install is simple, just follow step by step instructions in OP and make sure to backup before.
anyone willing to help me test this some more?

Try it if don't work, send me your snd_soc_msm2x file
The booting wont get completed if we revert the original file!!!

Hi all, I have modded the Xperia SP snd_soc_msm_2x file so that it will use earpiece aswell while playing music, watching youtube etc.
I found this on monivan's stereomod mod for the xperia Z (which i have) and I find it so cool that I wanted this on my sister's XSP so now I'm sharing here with you!
-Stock rom (may also work on AOSP/CM, don't know try it yourself and let know here)
How to install:
1. Download snd_soc_msm_2x.bin file here: mediafire.com/view/aaaxr1xqxl755wh
(if not available request desktop version)
2. Move your stock/current snd_soc_msm_2x from /system/etc/snd_soc_msm to any location on your sd card.
3. Copy the snd_soc_msm_2x.bin file you just downloaded to /system/etc/snd_soc_msm
4. Rename to snd_soc_msm_2x (delete only ".bin")
and set correct permission rw-r-r a.k.a. 0644
Like this:
XX0
X00
X00
5. Reboot
I tuned volume values so that sound is not distorting at all kind of genres, with any music player at full volume with no equaliser settings active.
But please be careful using this!!
To test if it works see: Left/Right Stereo Audio/Visual Test.: youtu.be/dvqbq_0jZ_U
Have fun!
V 1.1
-Added a low frequency filter to prevent distortion
-little lower volume, especially with Xloud off
-Optimised layout

Hi my phone is running on CM11 and i did as u said above, but i didnt like this much, so i reverted with original file. i dont know whether it is because i forget set permission for the original file the phone was not booting to the home screen, it was juz running the CM logo. So i had no other way than flashing again with CM11 zip.
Anyone could find any way to get the original Xperia SP sound and display back in CM11?
Is there any way to add Clear Audio+, True Bass, XLoud and Bravia engine 2 to Xperia SP running on CyanogenMod11 ??
Please Help..

The bootloop you describe has nothing to do with the file. Phone boots fine without it.
And to answer your question, no. Only way is run stock rom.
