phone is running in safe mode? lower left corner shows that. bricked? data isnt working right now and calendar kept FC.
Did you manage to get windows 98 on your phone lol. I have never seen that before. Try nandroid restore or factory reset or reflash rom.
I've seen safe mode on android phones before and a reboot usually makes it go away

I think if you hold menu during boot it will come up in safe mode. Sometimes I'll do it accidentally if I touch the right place at the right time when handling the phone when it boots. It's a pain because I have to put most of my widgets back to the desktop because they get the problem loading error. I also freak out because I think my phone got wiped

I've tried to get into safe mode in the past to no avail.
Out of the blue, I look down on my phone it says "Safe mode" on the lower left corner in a ghosted box. How the heck did I get myself into there? I've tried every key combo in the past to no avail. I musta restarted my phone and had my hand on the capactive buttons without knowing.
I want to take a snapsoht with Shootme, but it won't let me open Shootme for some reason.
LOL anyway just got excited there for a second.
Now I rebooted and can't get back in safe mode. How the heck do you get into safe mode? I've tried every capactive button combo people have suggested
I had to send on my og g1 due to being stuck in safe mode...my menu button was stuck, causing it to go into safe mode on every boot. Its nothing new really.

ya I know it's not new, I just never been able to get into it. Then suddenly today my phon was in safe mode, now for the life of me, I can't get it to go back in.
I just booted ibto,safe mode by holding menu and powering on...hold menu untill you see safe mode on the bottom of the screen.

Didn't work for me, kept my finger on menu, powered on my phone, kept finger on menu the entire time, no safe mode.

ya i had that happen to my widgets
but i still cant get back into safe mode.
oh well
I must have gotten lucky because all my widgets worked fine after i rebooted my phone ealier.

It might depend on which widget. I rebooted once after safe mode. I'm on stock JI6.

Just like a computer the phone will only startup the the bare basics to let it run. All third party apps will not work in safe mode.

I had my vibrant go into safe mode once also, my phone was not charged so when i got to work i plugged it into my work computer, after a while grabbed my phone and it was dead, Zip, zero, nada. After awhile pulled the battery out, and put it back in, the phone started up, but into safe mode. What i believed happened was when you plug in a mass storage device (AKA Thumb drive) into a computer at work, it trying to encrypt the device, and i think my phone said "Nope not gonna happen" and locked itselfs. Not sure, but not going to plug itin again.
I'm on 2.9 SC and everytime I charge my phone and turn it off. The screen turns on automatically without me touching the power button. It will do it once or twice. Online while its charging. I reinstalled SC and Odin fresh and still doesn't the same. If it has been ask sorry. But its kinda annoying. Please help.

I was running passion v9.2 and went to go back to stock. Some thing went wrong and now the phone wont boot at all. Only thing i can get it to do is come to this screen with red text after holding volume up and power key for 30 sec. With the red text showing odin recognizes my phone with a com7 but when i try to flash it gets stuck at setup connection. Is there any thing i can do to bring this phone back to life. thanks

Switch off ur phone and remove the battery and sim card. Leave your phone for 30 mns. And try to get download mode by pressing vol up/down keys and connect your usb cable. If u faild you can use jig method.

I am using an old fascinate just for wifi and games, no phone or texting. everytime i turn on the phone and get past the screen lock, i see my regular home screen for just a few seconds and then the phone goes to english then activate. I have been using the *#83786633 but i have to do that each time. is there a way to stop this nonsense

My galaxy s 2 is dead. When i try to turn it on, there will be light in the "back" and "menu" button, but the screen do not turn on. Sometimes the alarm starts, but because the screen dont turns on, i can't turn it off.
There are still warrenty on the phone, so the question is not how to fix the phone, i just want to to know, if there is any way that i can get my data, pictures e.g.
I hope someone know some sort of software that i can install on my computer, to connect the phone.

Install kies on your pc and connect your phone to it. I'm not 100% sure, but there is a possibility that you may be able to retrieve your pictures.
