Hey guys, I've been having a strange issue with my amaze... I currently have Android Revolutions sense Rom, with faux v022... Well my title says it, after I finish charging, after it INDICATES it being 100%, I unplug and wait. 5 minutes later it would be down to 95%.... It continue to drop fast and stop then slow down.... And decrease fast again... I'm guessing the indicator is malfunctioning... I'm also reading the voltage of my battery when fully charged (i have a 1900mah banker) and it would hover at 4100-4200v... I feel that's a little low for it.. anyone else experiencing this issue too? Anyone got a fix for this? I'm getting really frustrated with this false reading/fast draining of my battery... Ive tried calibrating, fully decharging and recharging... New Roms, new kernels, stock kernel... Am I missing something here?

With an anker, what you're describing sounds pretty typical from what I've read on these forums. They don't behave like a typical oem battery. How long does it last? Worse then stock?
Yes, its an anker issue. Every amaze anker user will tell you the same thing like you described.

Hey thanks for the responses! The phone definitely lasts longer than the stock... I gues ill just have to live with the whacky reading.... Haha.. on average I'm getting 18+ hours off this battery... Just wish there was a fix to this but oh well! Thanks again for the response again!!

I have been using an anker battery, I'm running Fourth bar with faux kernel. So far this is the best battery life I've ever had. I used my phone quite a bit yesterday and even watched an hour of Netflix this morning.

Hi guys, after a little cruising around the forums I managed to get my galaxy s2 working just how I want! I have a question though... whenever I do a battery pull or restart my phone the battery life shoots down like crazy!? Does anyone else's i777 do this? Is it normal or do I need to fox something. All the roms I have used have this issue for me. I am on CM9 right now. Please share your thoughts! You can see the 2 pulls I did during the day

You should not pull the battery out while the phone is on. Holding the power button for about 20 seconds achieves the same result. Hope this helps

This is something I think all of our phones experience. The way I understand it is a bug in our battery's fuel gauge, the battery level does not actually drop, but the phone just mistakenly reads it that way. I've read a few posts where if you remove your battery for a couple minutes and then charge the phone to a 100% after putting it back in, it recalibrates things. It seems to work for me until I flash other roms, but I cannot confirm 100% if it really does work.
Very true and sometimes its very frustrating to see a drop from 40% to less than 10% right after a reboot.
Will some battery calibrating apps can fix this?

Hi everyone. I've seen couple friends of mine saying that their S3 last like 2 days. I can't even see the night with mine. I used the screen only an hour but it's already %37. I guess there's something wrong. Can you check it out and tell me if it's normal?

What do you suggest me to do? I bought this from USA but now I'm in Turkey so I don't have warranty here. Do you think if I buy a new battery it's gonna fix?
Get yourself a Battery Mix from playstore, observe the graph and try to find out which application is using the cpu, I mean, see which one is constantly using the cpu even though you didn't use it.
(eg: on my phone google chrome and line are the main culprit)

That´s not normal, i am on Jelly Bean stock rom and rigth now i have 32% left with 1d and 9h43m, with normal use, phone calls, sms, wi-fi on.
I bought the Samsung Extra Battery Kit a while ago. At first I thought it was just placebo, but now I am pretty sure that the newer battery has a 1/3 better battery life than the one the S3 came with.
So I think not all batterys are created equal or degenerate after a few months too quickly.

I have purchased a new stock battery for my i9100. Are there any operations needed to be done in order for the batt to work as it should?
-formatting ?
-battery wipe from cwm ?
-battery calibration with store apps ?
Thanks

Take the battery out of the box. Make sure you use BOTH hands!!
Place the battery INTO your SII, and be sure you don't have an iPhone or another non-SII phone!!
After this TURN ON your Samsung Galaxy SII I9100-cellphone, and - like magic - you'll see it works (if not, charge it ')!

Just use the battery, no need to do anything else If you think (first test it) it behaves weird after a while charge your phone till 100%, turn it off, take out the battery for a minute, put it back in and boot your phone. It's a simple way to 'calibrate' your battery.

I've been experiencing the same problem with my SGS2's battery and noticed that it is getting bloated. I purchased a new one to prevent severe damage on my mobile phone.

I'm on viper4g my battery life on stock kernel has always been good on jellybean typically still have well over 50% by the end of my day just using my phone intermittent browsing Xda on my break at work or what have you. The other day this battery drain kicks in and I couldn't find a runaway app or anything that had change significantly bring it about. I heard about this app gsam battery monitor and have been using it only problem is the percentages are going way over 100% for phone signal I can't make out what the issue even is. From my understanding having a high percentage for screen is good since that means the power is drawing primarily from the display being on as oppose to data or radio having drain when you are not using them.

I had the same problem today. Also on viper4g, running custom kernel. Yesterday I ended the day with 1 day 4 hours on one charge. Today my phone was dead in 8 hours. Tried restarting it a couple times when I noticed the battery was dropping quick.

My house gets a weak signal but that hasn't ever been a huge factor...when it drains it does even when I'm working in town where there's good reception.

Strange wish I could pinpoint what happened, it appears I'm back on track now but I'm weary of phone signal % creeping back up near or over 50%
I had the same problem when i was running viper a couple of weeks ago and i just switched to a stock rom and knock on wood my battery lasts me the whole day.
Well vipers Rom isn't built to hold a charge for along time what they emphasized on was the ability to customize just about everything which seperates it from the rest.

I have the stock CM10 rom installed, and it usually does something like this that only lasts for a few days and goes back to normal. But this has lasted for almost a month now. As you can see in the pic, sometimes its says charging but doesn't "gain" energy, and when it does in drains extremely quickly. When it is asleep or turned off it still drains. I tried charging it with a different cord, then with my computer. Then I tried using a GS3 cord & adapter, it charged faster, but I couldn't tell how fast it drained since I wasn't using it.
Do I need to replace the battery? If I do, will it cost a lot, because if it does I'm just going to get a Note or DNA....
Try using a battery calibration app, people say to use it when you flash a new rom. Also, it might be an actual problem with the battery itself. Try getting a replacement battery if so. But then again, before you do that try going to stock and see if the problem is still present.

once it charges I'm going to see if that will help. and my son deleted my stock rom (long story), so I'm stuck on jb/ics.
Also its recommended after you calibrate to drain the battery to 0% and then recharge to 100% afterwards. And as far as the stock rom goes, you can restore using Odin and download mode
