If you want to make your xperia look more like the nexus first change lcd density from 240 to 220 or even better 210. Then go to your launcher settings (i use apex) and set for the homscreen hirizontal margin and vertical margin to large and the dock horizontal margin large and the vertical margin to medium. Then see the changes: (the left one is after)

If you are on a rom that includes rom control (like xICS) you can do it there in the general ui settings. Otherwise you have to edit build.prop.

A nice attempt but pretty useless as changing the density directly affects the compatibility of apps on the play store, most of them useful.

Thanks, I'm changing a lot of the resolution of many of the images. hopefully this'll fix the resolution issue.
By the way, I'm trying to get it installable (lol). I'm somewhat new to adb, so I hope it wont take too long.

Nope, it's outside of my knowledge. The border padding is way off and resolution is built for 480 x 800. It's unlike me to give up though. I'll see what the smali files do and talk with ths original dev about it.

My beauty :-D
How did you manage to get rid of the horrible sony ericsson interface that's laden across the whole OS? Was this achieved just through rooting? If so please point me in the right direction.
I rooted my phone, edited framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk, searched for MDPI themes across the forums. Now I have much better battery and lockscreen.
Sent from my SK17i using XDA app.
i know it's offtopic, but what exactly do you mean with much better battery? About which range do we speak? Instead of one day two days? Or what?

Actuall I don't know what you want to say with that answer...
@Prom85 I think he means that the battery icon up top of the screen is much nicer on the eyes, not that the phone battery performs better.
Anyways, Jokerok would you say that what you did (apart from the rooting) was a fairly complex or straight forward method?

Most images (battery, signal bars, etc) are in the folder called drawable-mdpi
Folder is is /system/framework/framework-res.apk
In this APK you will find all the images that make android look the way it looks.
So you can mod basically everything.
Edit png's inside drawable-mdpi.
Signal bars are in /system/app/SystemUI.apk
1)Copy the new framework-res.apk to your sdcard ...
2)Open Root Explorer and replace framework-res.apk in /system/framework/
3)Reboot IMMEDIATELY ...
Very helpful, cheers. Let you get back to topic now.
Hopefully if I'm successful I might post a screen shot.

Hi Everyone!!
I LOVE my XS, but one thing that was nagging me was the lack of folders in the launcher..!
I've moved from a Galaxy S II and TouchWiz had the folders option, which was great for getting rid of clutter in the app draw!
I was poking around XDA and found something about Nemus Launcher...
I searched and found no one was mentioned anything about it, so here it is!!
Check it out, I like it and feel it makes my XS even better now
Search for it on the Play store and let me know your opinions
Pretty decent launcher
If you didn't encounter folders in the Sony Ericsson Launcher you didn't use it for a single second... By default, there is already made a folder in your dockbar at the bottom where gallery, musikplayer and camera apps are placed in.. Also, if you put one icon over another, the launcher autimatically creates a folder..
If you just wanted to be cool and post some app then you should head over to Themes and Apps Forum!
Do you mean the folders you can create by just pressing and holding on a blank area?
Clue is in the question or am I missing something valuable?
