Well, it's all in the title : can I relock the bootloader and make the "unlock" icon dissapear from the boot screen ?
Thanks !
Yes, it's possible, following the unlock instructions, except "fastboot OEM lock" Instead of unlock.
Just be aware that this will cause the tablet to do a full format, so you will lose everything.

Is there a way to put bootloader in 'Locked' instead of 'Relocked' ? My phone was unlocked and S-off. I put it back to S-on, and tried to locked the bootloader with cmd 'fastboot oem lock', but in the bootloader it says 'relocked'. I wonder if there's a way to put it in 'locked', and not flashing RUU....
thank you!
you need to lock your bootloader while you are putting the phone back to s-on... there's a guide somewhere let me find it for you..here's the thread about how to lock the bootloader and s-on the phone
The only way I know of is to be s-off then flash the stock RUU. It will read "Locked" after its completed.
I need to return my Nexus 9 to stock to get a warranty return from HTC. I know exactly what to flash, and how to relock the bootloader, my question is does it leave any evidence of being relocked? Does the text at the top of Hboot say Locked, or relocked. How about the "this is a development device" red text? Will flashing the stock bootloader, recovery, system, etc fix that? Finally, will there be any evidence if they run "fastboot oem device-info " on hboot?
I just want to be 100% clear that there wont be any evidence of bootloader unlock when I'm done.
Thanks!

Did you get any answer? I just bricked mine (still locked) by trying to wipe /cache. Thinking about unlocking it, but I want wo return it next month because the Back is dissolving
I used the Xperia C method and my Rooting Status say: Bootloader Unlock allowed: Yes; after this process I try to install TWRP with this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe.../bootloader-unlocked-custom-recovery-t3285521
And I have some troubles. I check my Rooting Status again and this turn to No from Yes. Now my bootloader Secured say Yes, when it say No. And now i can't unlock my bootloader (again).
1.- This screenshot it is when I made my bootloader unlock process. http://prntscr.com/9hiiu
2.- This screen it's when I tried to flash TWRP; the status secure say Yes, after the unlock... http://prntscr.com/9m7ji1
IDK What I have to do.
Can't see your images. Also the thread clearly stated it was only C4 TWRP. The C5 Ultra version is available for Beta testing. If you can flash the recovery your Bootloader is Unlocked simple.
Yes I know. The problem is before the tutorial, thank you very much for responding. Look, what happens is that I had already unlocked the bootloader; Unlock Bootloader I said: Yes. Now I tried to do the procedure you posted, I realized that now Bootloader Unlock my cell saying: No, so I failed in the attempt to flash the recovery. My question was, why after saying Bootloader Unlock: Yes, Unlock Bootloader went on to say: No, and thus the secured: yes.I do not understand what could have happened, why it changed the configuration ?, this was in a period of one week before you will post the tutorial.
Will said bootloader survive an ota update on c4 & c5?
I made a huge mistake and I have no idea how to fix it. Google turned up nothing, so I made this thread.
Previously, I had rooted my Honor 6X. After a week or so I wanted to unroot, so I did. Unfortunately, I messed up. I do not know when, but I did.
I want to flash the stock images to their partitions. The problem is that fastboot can't flash any partitions because OEM unlocking is not allowed. As I understand, the bootloader needs to be relocked to allow OEM unlocking. There the issue begins: to allow OEM unlocking, I need to relock the bootloader and to relock the bootloader, I need to allow OEM unlocking. Until I'm able to fix this, I can't flash the stock images.
For reference, when I'm in fastboot&rescue mode, under the Android it says "PHONE Unlocked" in red text and "FRP Lock" in green text.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hi, I'm having issues trying to root brand new XZ1 following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xz1/how-to/guide-how-to-persistant-root-xperia-xz1-t3718375 .
When I try to fastboot flash G8342 boot img I get "Flashing is not allowed in Lock State" error. I have made sure that OEM bootloader is unlocked in developer options...
I have tried updating drivers, using different boot img no luck. Anyone know what the solution is?

Sounds like your bootloader is still locked, just because you flipped the OEM switch doesn't mean it's unlocked... Go read over here before you do anything else.. ( https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/get-started/unlock-bootloader/ )

Thanks, that's a good guide. But when I try to run "fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0x<insert your unlock code>" it always returns that the command's syntax is incorrect. Is this because I don't have 26.0.2 platform tools?

Actually I sorted that out, I was entering it with the brackets when I was meant to remove them. But when I enter it now, it doesn't tell me incorrect syntax, but tells me instead "unknown option: -- i" I wonder if this is an issue of using too new version of Platform tools? (I'm using 28.0.1)
Right I figured it out. Just omitted the -i option and it worked. So it looked like "fastboot oem unlock 0x<unlock code>"
no further issues cheers
I get same problem (bootloader unlocked, OEM unlocked .....But show I'm in lock state)

Google 'unlock xperia bootloader', and check the xz1 compact forum for the DRM backup method for your phone. (I know you said you have a xz1)
You need to unlock the bootloader using a code from sony, and enter it via a fastboot command before twrp can be booted/installed.
