Hey there, if there's a previous thread for this I'm sorry, I did search for about 10 minutes before deciding to post. I downloaded an app called crime world, gives articles on real world crimes and that sort. But I wanted to listen to the articles in the background while doing mundane work. Is there an app that can read aloud any text on the screen and from other apps?
Thank you!
Bump?

Not sure, but check out tunein radio or the BBC app,
Both useful while multitasking and trying to listen to news.

Hi everyone, I have a little problem.
I'm reading a book pdf on my smart Android. I downloaded BeamReader and I must say that the book reads well because by setting the "Text view" page to display and resize the text, making reading enjoyable (but does not "view as pdf").
The problem is that it does not save the page I'm reading, if I close it again from the first. For books "doc" I use Cool Reader, instead when I open my own place is the last page I was reading, something comfortable.
Someone can indicate a player that does the same thing with "pdf"?

Thank you for the answer, but iReader Full does not read the PDF, I have just tried.
Are there any links showing Google's voice activated personal assistant? I was hoping to see some video of it in action. Read a lot of articles on it, but no video.

Thanks for taking time to post another app but this thread is about the app in the first post. Veetle is already a very popular site which most people know about. I posted the Fuugo app because it is not known about by most people and its a great app for clip hunters. The VEETLE app has nothing to do with the app in the first post.

Sorry for intruding your territory. I just wanted to share something similar here. Not everyone knows about all apps. I just found it a few days ago. It's always nice to have a healthy discussion about available options in a single thread. That's what forums are for.
I would like to know if more are available.

Try this app I also found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1727959
Wouldn't it be very cool to have a music player application with a visualizer? Before my current android phone I had most of music on my PSP and the one thing I missed the most was the visualizations it did of the music. Does anyone know of an android application that does something similar? I know my friends GSII comes built in with a visualizer but its very basic.
I have included a video to demonstrate the visualizer on the PSP and I spent sometime on my 2 favorite effects.
It would be really cool if there was a similar program or if a developer would put this in their apps. Most of the music apps that I have tried don't have anything like this at all.
Just in case the link doesn't work go here
In the video I run through all 7 visual effects and then I go over my 2 favorites. I personally like the 2nd (0:42 seconds in and again at 3:33) and 4th (1:13 seconds in and again at 4:50) effect. And near the end I leave it on the last effect because that one takes a while to fully show what it does. I personally want something like the 2nd effect. If I can find an app that does just that then I would be happy.
Seems nice for the player I am making
On aokp, I use the spectrum wallpaper. It looks like a great Visualizer

For an actual app, look up projectm on the play store

You can install the Sony walkman app with visualizer add on. I am loving it. It has about ten themes for the visualizer. It was pulled from on of the new Sony phones. Think it'll satisfy your needs.

I took a look at the app and it isn't exactly what I wanted. I mean its so rough and ugly looking. Not trying to sound harsh or anything.

Exactly what I want...I literally searched the web many days for this hoping to find, but in vain. I thought I was the only one who thought about it but glad there are others like me who miss the psp system...:highfive::highfive:
Hi...you like sing with karaoke medias ,listening to your favorite track along with lyrics or watching subtitled music-videos?it being enjoyable also could be great language training and self-learning facility for non-native English speakers like me.
the most easiest to use and more reachable than others is a lyric player that someone could have quick look at it at any short free time like city-in short trips by bus , metro etc .
plus getting its media (a text formatted file) is not supposed to be a drudgery, big money-costable and needs really low web surfing skills !
lack of such good Lyric player App for android is now clearly palpable.
i have spent to much time googling it for my desired lyric app, even searched at any kind of markets and forums seeking for a complete and at least bug-free one, now got just nothing!
alright android devices have to many lyric apps but IMO none functional.sorry for this.
This is a Request page for Lyric player app compatible all Android devices and all type media players!
read it then join me to find a gracious Developer to make one.i ll also look forward to your great ideas.
(if you agreed me hit the Thank then rate it to get our flag high!)
Features requested:
1.At least .Lrc and .txt files loadable.
2.Its supposed to be a standalone app.*
3. Built-in graphical UI Lrc creator(editor).
4. Management of sorted list of loaded and associated files.
5.Ability to get media directly from local storage or search and download from internet pages or reliable online DBs.
6.Customization for screen overlying text flow**
7.Play/pause, FF/ FR gesture and buttons for text flow control(to synch with song)
8.Notification Bar trigger and shake trigger: to start, while app is ready but minimized
9.i'm still thinking ...
*so preferred because of compatibility for all players or the app could be associated with any MP with user permission.
**standard options for text: number of line per page, text size ,font, margins and dynamically auto text highlighting... also for BG: transparent/solid color or a custom image... etc.
dear Dev. if you do this for us ,i promise will follow/like/circle/thank you till im alive ...
Good lucks!
