Have you checked the apn settings? In settings/Wireless and Networks/Access Point Names, make sure that this is correct for your provider.
While you are there check that Mobile Data is turned on as well.

already check them also the mobile data is turned on

try different modems

Instead of flashing the backup.. Download the stock rom from [www.sammobile.com/firmware] and flash it back on the phone and see if it works.

Few Questions guys

Ok so i am noob with Samsung and dealing with flashing and all these stuff, i just switched from iPhone to Galaxy S3 GT-I9300, i have read so many posts and watched so many videos, all what i want is some clarification
1* I have managed to download CM 9.0.0 for my phone and installed it through ROM Manager , i have noticed that my Data service is not working, am living in Kuwait "Middle East" the wifi is working fine no issues and i enabled the Data Service through the settings, how can i fix the issues with the data plan although it is working fine after i restored to my stock ROM
2*Can u tell me what the use of the Odin except rooting and installing a stock Firmware ?
3* correct me if i am wrong but the ROM will only do some sort of interface for the phone , as we say in IT "GUI" of course not to forget to mention the speed and tweaks for hardware of the device it self, i mean it is not a complete OS "Firmware" mostly GUI with Tweaks.
4*While doing the installation of the ROM and remove it and getting back to my stock ROM , nothing from my data has been changed, does that means every time i install any ROM and get back to the old one my data will not be effected on the stock ROM?
5* what would happen if i tried to install a ROM not compatible with the firmware i have ? and how would i fix that ?
6*How can i tell if the ROM is compatible with the firmware i have? , for example in my case i downloaded CM 9.0.0 for my S3 which has 4.0.4 firmware
7* I have understand that the ROM must be compatible with my phone version , what i mean with version like International version or US carriers versions, am i Right?
Am sorry asking too many questions,I tried my best to make the questions with yes or no answer, and incase you would like to write more please do
answering me those questions will help me alot, i have been reading so many posts and it is making me go insane
Thanks so much in advance

1. try reboot
2 thats about all its for
3............
4 all your data will be there unles you do a full wipe in recovery which is recomended before installing any ROM.
5 A ROM isnt specific to your firmware. If you have an international version which is GT I9300 Or GT I9300T any ROM from the I9300 threads will work. Dont flash anything made for the non international versions
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Tried reboot didnt work to activate the data service,
Just to note i didnt do a full wipe and second i didnt install the gapps...

You do a full wipe. A full wipe is always recommended to prevent some weird bugs.

[Q] Why don't I have data connection when using Stock Android Rom ?

Hello everyone,
So here is my problem, I'm using a galaxy s3 I9300, I rooted it and instal some roms on it but here's the problem when I flash any roms using Jelly beans (with the stock android) such as Super Nexus or AOKP, I don't have any data connection but the rest of the phone is working fine (wifi, calls, sms,...) can someone help me to fix this problem ?
Thank you
Maybe the mobile data is toggled to off by default in those roms.
Check it out in the data usage tab.

Sure, go to settings and look in mobile access points and and add or change your provider`s apn settings. They should be posted on the providers website.
Same here

I got exactly the same problem right now.
Every ICS version works fine, but none of the JB versions will.
Im now on CriskeloRomV6.
I tryed JB versions from Criskelo
(I did WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET + WIPE CACHE PARTITION + DANS ADVANCED/WIPE DALVIK CACHE)
and
Android Revolution.
(tryed Superwipe script on that one)
None worked. No mobile Data.
If I dont conect to WIFI than I cant even make it out of the
first steps (google account etc.)
I have a unbranded Galaxy S III I9300 from Germany
I use the newest CWM Recovery
my provider is Congstar (a Provider that uses the German Telekom net)
Im happy with my ICS but I really want to know what the problem is.

jap. That also fixed the problem for me.
JB uses the T-mobile APN instead of the Congstar one.
The Congstar one ist almost like the T-mobile one,
because it uses the T-mobile net... but it is still different.
Its still an issue. Because without a Wifi conection its not posible to fix that.
THX again.

[Q] Data connection problem on all custom roms

I have a S3(i9300) and its been just few days i have been using it. Since the Touch Wiz environment was boring i decided to flash custom roms. I started with ParanoidAndroid, the rom was snappy and smooth like butter but then as i left my house and had to switch on my data package it showed data package indication on status bar but never actually worked. Then i decided to try Cyanogenmod 10.1, still no luck.
Everything works well, even the wifi works great but the data package made me shift back to stock rom. No matter what custom rom it is the data package never works. I really want to stay on cm10.1. I wish i can get some help from here.
P.S. - I tried flashing newer modem bt it still didn't work. HELP ME!

[Q] Mobile Network not available after Flashing to custom ROM

Hi guys,
This is my first time posting a thread in here. I need your help.
My phone is Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100.
Baseband version: I9100XXKI3
(screenshots attached for more info)
I rooted my phone By using Odin3-v1.85. and flashed the recovery to cwm 5.x (i can't remember version) and tried to install custom ROM OMNI
(omni-5.0.2).
I accidently downloaded and installed OMNI for i9100G version. But my phone is i1900 version.
(I downloaded this omni-5.0.2-20141222-i9100g-HOMEMADE.zip ). i forgot to backup previous ROM .
Then i was unable to Turn ON my phone because every time i turn it on, it come back to recovery it self (it's a bootloop i think).:crying::crying:
then i flashed the recovery to CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100 (version 6.0.2.7) and installed custom ROMs and tried (PACMAN,CM,AICP).
It works fine. everything is just perfect. But i can't make calls or receive.
It says "Mobile Network not available". when i call my phone from another phone i hear ringing it. But nothing shows in my phone. after few seconds i got a Missed call Alert. But this happens only sometimes. All the other times. i cannot call it from another phone.
I tried reset and flash modem using CWM as well as from odin. but no luck.
Please Friends Help me. I don't know whether i put this thread to right section or not. sorry about that.
I did all of these things by surfing XDA forum (as a Guest). And i'm happy about what you guys are doing. Keep it up.:good::good:
(sorry for bad english)
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck

But i tried to install custom Rom again but no luck there. I was again stuck with Mobile network problem.
May be the problem with kernal.

You will have to flash stock 4.1.2 rom or try a 4.1.2 custom rom. The problem may be caused by the drivers in the built in kernels but I'm not completely sure.
No mobile network on custom roms
I have already flashed the 4.1.2 jellybean rom but 4.1.2 rom also havr bugs. Lock screen doesn't work, I had tried hard resetting but it doesn't solve the problem. I Want use 5.0.2 hazy , cynogenmod, pacman , dirty unicorn, etc and other many custom roms but I'm facing same problem no mobile network, other than that everything work fine....

You mean stock 4.1.2 rom? That's very weird for a 4.1.2 stock rom. Maybe an android 4.2 or 4.3 rom?
You are saying that I should try 4.2 or 4.3 custom rom??

Yep.
I am having same problem with the network connectivity. It happens with all custom ROMs that aren't stock based. I am stuck with Chameleon ROM which is a hybrid and has a stock samsung base. It is a great ROM but is outdated. I would like to upgrade. Any solution to this problem is welcomed. = D
Okay I think I got a solution here. The procedure is:
1) Make sure you are on a stock based ROM or other ROM where your network is working.
2) Backup EFS.
3) Flash custom ROM of your choice.
4) Restore EFS if there is no network.
Done.
To restore efs, you can use any app tailored to do so but for me it didn't work. I followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-recover-imei-9-steps-t1264021
Follow the steps carefully and you will have network in any ROM you like. Hit thanks if helped.
PS: Sorry for double post
EDIT 2: Even though my network is back, which confirms that the problem was with the missing IMEI. I found out that the IMEI I got now is a fake one. Got to get the real one back now..
i did flash android 10 in my moto one power
after that i went back to stock rom but noe netwrok is not showing up

mobile data problem

hey guys..i really need some help.. since yesterday i changed a few roms on my S2, only jelly bean roms, and i observed that my data isnt working.. i have set the apn , reboot..reset to factory , and now i am on stock rom..still does not work.. any help please?
Go back to your original modem (baseband) that came with your S2, changing stock roms will also change the modem ( gps, ril - data ). If you don't remember the baseband , try to flash the rom that your data worked!
