I've used the app pic 2 wallpaper works ok I guess but that and the stock option to set as wallpaper keeps over stretching photos on my home screen, the weird thing is it looks exactly how I want it if Its locked I've .attached pics to show you what I mean:

Short answer: get Wallpaper Wizardrii from the play store. It lets you apply wallpaper with scaling, cropping to fit, etc.

I don't think it's a sense issue. I would look at the rom, or if other people who are using the rom are having issues.
Current. Lock and unlock. Pic I took with my Rezound. Currently running rooted stock rom.
Will look into that to bud thanx nice car btw I drive a 93 civic

Im having problems setting a wall paper that I want to use, every time I try and select the image I want to use my phone takes me to gallery to resize the picture, I guess to fit across multiple screens. Trouble is I don't use wall paper scrolling and just want the image as it is to remain static as I change screens. Does anyone know of a way round this?

Which launcher are you using?
The only way to do this is of your launcher supports it.
And even then, for the picture to look ok, you need to edit it on your PC, place it in the middle of a black 960x854 image, save it, then transfer and apply on your phone, then enable the No Wallpaper Scrolling option in your launcher.
As far as I know, ADW and Launcher Pro support this.

Launcher pro plus, I already have disabled wall paper scrolling. Will try editting on pc tomorrow. I downloaded the image directly to my phones sd using xda app, perhaps this is the reason it won't work. Thanks for replying, am getting some sleep now so will check back here in the morning. Night all

These are all workaroundd.. there is an app called dodol wallpaper maker in market.. it does the stuff you want.. moreover it also changes the selection by default.. i mean once you apply potrait wallpaper.. it remembers your choice and then when you select your wallpaper from gallery it lets you choose a potrait wallpaper.. same goes for. Landscape.. check it out..

Now thats the kind of answer im after, thanks

I tried but gallery still forces the image to be resized.
Don't worry about it now anyway that app linked above does exactly what I wanted to do.

I always use multipicture live wallpaper since it can preserve the transparent status bar if you have one in ADW or Launcher Pro..
Thanks for this. However what about picture frame? I used picture frame widget and it asked to crop the picture, any application can make the whole picture for the picture frame widget?
Is there an option to enable scrollable wallpaper in GS3? I couldn't find this in settings. Thanks...

Not 100% sure but, I think Samsung took the ability of scrollable wallpapers out because of Apple crying that they stole it. I think I remember reading this somewhere.

I don't think so - the stock wallpapers scroll perfectly fine, after all. I think it's just a bug in the software.

"Crop Wallpaper" on GooglePlay is the easiest to do the job !
I seem to go thru this every time I come back to Android from iOS and it doesn't seem to have gotten any easier. What are you all doing for wallpapers? The screen on the DNA is so large and so crisp that I don't think I could stand using anything except the maximum resolution for a background.
Is everyone using an app or cropping photos themselves? Any chance of a wallpaper thread like I have seen in the past? Thanks!

Thanks for the link, I also saw a post linking to a bunch of HD walls on another site which included a recommendayion to use PicSpeed to set them without cropping. However I am unable to get PicSpeed to let me use the full photo or make the phone scrolling able. You would think Google or a develop would come up with a single unified app that allows us to make the settings and adjust the backgrounds the way we want to. If it exists I have yet to find it.

its the "Dark Holo Cards" theme from mycolorscreen.com, its designed for use with the nexus 4(720p) but can work with 1080p
I did not use the wallpaper part and also the circle battery widget trips out on our phones, it takes a little toying around to get everything right (its actually 5 themed screen)
Dark Holo Cards
I might also warn that as you add more of the "widgets" to the home screen it starts to lag out, same thing with when moving from screen to screen after its setup its a little laggy, not sure if its an issue with the phone or with nova launcher compatibility

No you have to root, and I made all those icons. It is impossible to change any sense icons unless you root and modify framework/system files.
Or you could use another launcher like apex, etc

Does anyone know if there's a way to change lines/rows on the screen to allow for more shortcuts? Just wanted to check before putting a different launcher on it.
