how can i backup my ROM without using SUS? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

hi.
i did a mistake and i updated my Xperia Ray with the official sony 4.0 .
i want to downgrade the phone to 2.4.3.
the problem is that i need HEBREW language and i didnt find it in the Stock ROMs over te internet.
my friend have the same phone with the stock 2.4.3 Hebrew ROM.
is there a way to backup his ROM without using SUS? if i run SUS his phone will be updated to 4.0 too.
best regards!

Seriously dude people invented google for a reason
Unlock boot loader and install cwm and backup via cwm
Or there is a kernel with cwm for locked bootloaders

Could it be due to locked bootloader?
Also install the file in the flashtool\drivers folder to make sure it's not a driver issue
And update flashtool to v8.5.0/8.6.0

Agreed with senior. Drivers might not be installed properly, or flashing wrong files. Make sure X10 Brand name exists in flashtool alright.

Bootloader have two types: Locked Bootloader and Unlocked Bootloader. Normally Developers will provide 2 version of ROMs to be flashed. Safest flashing for Locked Bootloader is via Xrecovery, while Unlocked Bootloader is Flash FTF Kernel and recommended Recovery. You can check/identify your Bootloader Status and also Simlock Certificate (see whether Suitable to be unlocked bootloader) via S1tool by senior 9luka5
link for S1tool here For more tutorial, you can visit my signature links for PDf guides. Thank you. Cheers

Download the latest version of flashtool v0.9... I think u can unlock bootloader by going to "plugins" tab right next to help....it would show up only if your bootloader is locked... once you unlock then you can flash any kernel you want... remember to backup your existing ROM using recovery before you go around messing with phone

Before I can give you any link I have small question... is your phone rooted? And what version of android you r running ? And if its a custom ROM then what ROM are you using?
BTW you can't flash custom kernel without unlocking bootloader.. you need to unlock bootloader to flash kernel... kernels are usually ftf files you can download them and flash using flashtool.... different ROMs have different kernel so you need to read instructions on ROM thread you r interested in...

You have soft bricked your phone.. don't worry, download a ROM which you can use for locked bootloader and follow the steps and you should be good to go... to get into flash mode try this.... don't connect your phone but start Seus-> update software-> repair-> software will ask you to get into flash mode so turn off phone by removing battery, connect the phone without battery-> place the battery while holding the back button down and phone will get into flash mode and stock ROM will be flashed...

Does anyone have a flashable superuser zip file?

I did, and this isnt s flashable zip, this is script to root on pc, flashable is in cwm?
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
and how do you want to flash it?? there's a superuser flashable zip in the dev section (I think) but you need cwm installed, and to install cwm you need root, so you first have to use that pc script I posted.
With that you don't need the flashable superuser, but is still necessary after you flash some custom rom
let me get this straight...
u can't unlock your bootloader and yet u're asking for a flashable zip for CWM?????
uhh... enlighten everyone of us here please... we are all very confused if that's the case...
Thanks so much for ur post
For u who confuse, i cant unlock my bootloader, but i can root and than install cwm, than i flash a rom, but without bootloader unlocked, after u flash a rom, cwm and superuser will not work, which is why i need to reflash the zip of these two right after i flashed a rom
Cheers!

Xrecovery backup files

Hi guys
I have a doubt. I have backed up my stock rom just in case I need to get back from my wolf's rom. I have copied those backup file in my pc. Although I have 8 gb sd card but I am running less on memory. I want to delete those backup files from sd card cz they carry 700 mb. After I delete those files from sd and whenever I'd like to get back on stock rom, and copy those files from pc to sd then will Xrecovery recognise that backup? Sorry for bad English.....
Yes it will.just don't change the name of a folder

No if youre using a custom kernel.. you cant repair with unlocked bootloader unless you flashed back to stock kernel.. only root will gone and bootloader will not be relocked when using pccompanion (thats why binary and androxyde included a relocking bootloader ftf file in their flashtool)..
So to summarize you have to repair your x10 unlock bootloader with pccompanion.. keep that in mind that before repairing you have to be on stock kernel..

i tried with the last one.
i am in Greece.. if i flash it with the stock ICS 6.1.1.C.1.0 file which i found here and it's from T-mobile Croatia, i think that my sim will not work..
My XU is simlocked with Orange - Poland and works great with any region ROM (sometimes GPS needs fixing). Have you tried ADB restore root method from Flashtool? For some reason bin4ry never works for me, but Flashtool one (isn't it the same script?) always works.
Cheers.

I´ve choosen "old" with Binary´s Tool.... The Restore Option "RootMe" applys on the phone. It also Reboots, but then... the "CMD-Window" get´s closed and on the phone nothing happened ( Only the background changed).
Does anyone know a solution?? I´m trying since 1 week (
