Keyboard with backspace and delete - Transformer TF300T Themes and Apps

I found one at last, AI keyboard changes from backspace to delete on use of shift key. No need to go to an alt keyboard. Nice design too.

Anyway to create NEW email/mssg using slideout keyboard?

I searched but couldn't find anything on this topic.
Besides the menu right soft key is there anyway to create a NEW email/mssg just by using a key or combination of keys on the slideout keyboard?
Seems strange to me that the slide out keyboard has everything to do messaging/emailing but u have to use a virtual key to create a new mssg?
Am I wrong in this?
well if there was a reg setting to changed when the keyboard was out then you could make a mortscript that would check and if so then run a short cut to launch text message

[Q] Android Keyboard

how to change keyboard key besides the smiley key and the enter key back to english? thanks
Not sure what you mean because to enter smilies you need to go to menu Insert smiley.
To change the keyboard language long press in the writing area and choose the keyboard you want.
Hope this comes close to what you want.

Keyboards with Arrow Keys ??

Are there any keyboards available with arrow keys ?
When editing files, it can be difficult to press at exactly the right point in the file to put the cursor.
Thanks !
Thumb Keyboard offers arrow keys.
In my opinion, it's THE best onscreen keyboard for the Nook anyway.

I like Smart Keyboard. It has a free trial/nag version. Don't forget to install the dictionary for it too.
I've got ultra keyboard and love it. Its got arrow keys, copy paste keys and much more. I highly recommend it
Sent from my Nook Color using XDA APP
Keyboards seem to be like olives in terms of the superlatives of their names:
- Better
- Ultra
- Smart
- Swift
the only one bucking the trend is:
- Thumb

Ironically, to the best of my knowledge, the tablet version does not., except when not in split mode. My vote goes to thumb keyboard.
SlideIT Keyboard has arrow keys.
Swype (my personal favorite) has arrow keys... just swype from the Swype button to the Sym button and the editing keyboard with arrows, cut, paste, etc. comes up.

I Agree, swype is the best.

OMG, I have been so frustrated with Swype on the NC because I missed Ultra Keyboard's arrow keys. I had no idea that editing keyboard was there!

I didn't find it in mine. But I just bought Thumb and it's way better in landscape mode. The thumb thing is natural for holding the Nook. Maybe I'll use Slideit in portrait. By the way Thumbs is less than half the price.
Since nobody mentioned it yet, the Notion Ink keyboard (Available through this section) has a very traditional desktop keyboard layout, including arrow keys where you would expect them.
It's one of the, if not THE, best free keyboard available. And quite frankly, I think it beats Thumb Keyboard as well.

[Q] Remap bluetooth keyboard keys

I have the zaggfolio case and keyboard. I was wondering is there anyway to edit the functions of the keyboard. For example: change the ctrl key to a shortcut for my browser or if i long press the home but recents will show. thanks
Bumping you because I want to do the same thing for the opposite reason: My keyboard Esc key is interpreted as a local 'Back' press, and Ctrl goes I don't know where. I want it to stop modifying these keys and send them through ConnectBot instead.

[Q] Keyboard Question

I was just wondering if it would be possible to add a smiley's button to a sense keyboard instead of having to hit menu and insert smiley every time. On all of the aosp roms the smiley button is where the enter key would be but if you add that keyboard to a sense rom it doesn't show up so if anyone knows how to modify the sense keyboard to have that button that would be awesome!
other keyboards with smiley
I have tried every keyboard looking for one that combines all the greatest features including a working smiley key. Swiftkey seems to be the over all best. But it has some serious issues with lag on ICS, so had to give it up, even though it's prediction, including adding missing space, is way above everyone else, sometimes it would not do predictions within apps though. Touchpal has nice prediction and a good enter key that brings up smiley with a long press as well as a great feature of getting the alt key meaning by swiping the key up or down. Smart keyboard has good text prediction, long press to get smiley on enter key. My favorite right now is Perfect Keyboard. Perfect keyboard lets me tailor the long press duration, it has great prediction, and like swiftkey will fill in missing space bar presses. With perfect keyboard a long press get the smileys, plus Perfect keyboard does even a better job than the others of continuing to do predictions even within apps like shopping lists, google play, etc.

Works well. I loved the HTC_Mod before as well, and somebody ported it over to XHDPI devices; he's still trying to get it working on JB, but it works fine on ICS.
