Sola Gmail Bug (?) - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hello,
I have a problem with my gmail app, when i reading new message and tap on screen strange orange frame appears (like in the attached screenshot file). Do anyone know what it is or what is the cause of this?

So my camera roll just all of a sudden stopped showing. I have to click gallery>folders to find my pictures.
So I think it was the latest beta build of messages.
