Dear All,
As we have seen that currently our dedicated users x1123 & adridu59 are working hard to port ICS to Venue.
As seen a few posts back we saw that Using adridu59 kernel Xperia & Nexus One based ROMS were booting and working fine.
So to give it a try I am posting the ROM links with suitable kernel link as well so that one can try these GB based ROMs.
This is just for testing purpose. Depending on the results we will go forward with this. So far we have Olleh, CM7 & MIUI based ROMs.
The following is the details :
Kernel Credit : adridu59
This is based on 4.06/4.08 sources with 4.08 ramdisk.
Use it at your own risk. If you brick your phone, it will be your fault, not mine.
I do not own a Dell Venue and therefore cannot test this.

Dude it doesn't work...we have to port that rom with a working cm7 rom for dell venue and then flash it...as it requires some device specific stuff from the base rom
And the kernel itself doesn't flash...there is some error in that itself

Trip is upset about this release. So This Thread is closed.
I do it for fun only and it's no more fun
Please do not pm me for links. I will not entertain.
Good work cbrato! Was wondering when you would release ROM of your own.
BTW, you mention Barcode Scanner not working, but didn't you patch Trips MIUI for Goggles to work? And I'm using GOGGLES on trip's worm fine right now.
Sweet!!! Looks good!!! Search on xda for xj's miui, bout half page down got two links for tweaked camera, haven't tried them yet, might be interesting or useless!!
Best regards,
Chris

Its the same rom from FXP , if u want to try it , here is the download link :
http://get.cm/get/jenkins/5933/cm-9.0.0-nozomi.zip
I flashed it this mornign and it has the same bugs of FXP133
Someone captured the screenshots about the different version info between CM9 Final and FXP133. They were posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30112174&postcount=647.
I think that only version info is different. Everything else should be the same.
I want to compile the boot.img of CM10 for our devices with added features like

Follow this guide - developer.sonymobile.com/2011/05/06/how-to-build-a-linux-kernel/
Download doomlord's toolchain for this. Also I would recommend u to use backtrack as most of the dependencies and needed things are in it. and when ull write deconfig_semc_devicename replace device name with ur device's codename. Also in the commands don't use "none" whereever given. @abcdjdj will soon write a complete guide on this once he has some free time
For any doubts just PM me

Hmm.... I ported some roms to my device[based cm10, Take thacy,(KM-S220)], but I don't know how to port stock roms. I heard that porting stock rom is different from porting cm10 based custom roms.
Anyone can teach me how to port stockroms?
I include my phone's specifications
It updated ICS last year. Amd it's ICS kernel source was opened recently.

Bricked after flashing Doge.
So I followed the instructions to the mark and installed the Doge rom using TWRP 2.7.0.0 on my A116i
But for some reason an hour passed and it's still stuck on the cyanogenmod bootlogo animation.
Then I tried flashing it again after doing a full data wipe. No use.
Finally, I tried restoring my old rooted stock rom, but it booted into the same cm animation and is stuck there!
What are my options?
Should I download the stock rom and flash it using SP tools?
Ya you gotta re flash the stock ROM
Did you use twrp v 5 or cwm v 6?

The build just boots AFAIK and it had a problem in SystemUI.... Kashif told that it is due to the problem in build.prop.. I corrected it but still yet to test! The problem is that I don't have the device right now and so I couldn't test!
All your support is required!
