I would flash back to a stock ROM and start there. Make sure it is not hardware before you start changing software settings.
Can i flash a stock rom with 9% with odin mobile lol
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I'd try putting it on USB charge first. It might just be your charger has gone US rather than anything to do with the phone OS or software. Looking at those first screenshots I'm wondering about the 'discharging' 'charging' going on. To me that sugests the charger itself is not staying on charge mode.
The SIII gets 'stuck' sometimes says Samsung, they said it was a software issue so hopefully they'll fix it soon
Possible temp fix: turn off phone (works 90% of time for me)

Flashed stock ics an hr ago and I'm up to 30% that's the highest it's gotten to in the last 24 hrs. So think it's safe to say I'm back in business.
Very strange behaviour though!

I think that your charger is bad. Try some rooted jb os with latest siyah kernel, then try to charge your phone with usb. Latest syiah kernel have tweaked usb charge to 900mA. You have managed to recharge a little bit because ics has weaker wireless than jb.
Sory for my bad english
Cant be bad charger because I've tried 2.
As soon as I flashed stock t-mobile ics the charging went back to the way it should be.
Was running latest overcome jb. Was working fine. Something must of gotten corrupted?
Only thing that fixed it was flashing stock.
Anyway crisis averted. Just glad Im not having to send it away to samsung.

So, I rooted my GS3 with this method http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoEVDgjTTdg&list=PL7011CD883D5201B8&index=12&feature=plpp_video
Everything went perfectly and was successfully rooted.
I then made a backup of my phone.
I tried installing a rom and it had errors, so I restored my phone and it was successfully stored and hit restart phone.
Thats where I am at now. The phone shut off, and wont turn back on. I have it on the charger and there is no charging light, nothing. tried pulling the battery, entering recovery. Nothing works.
I have no idea what happened or how to get my phone back on.
Please help.
Thank you.
How about download mode and install the stock ROM?
I cant get into downloads mode either.
Nothing works.
I plug in the phone to my pc and it recognizes it.......sort of.
Doesnt show as a device to transfer files, etc.
Any other suggestions?
This is so frustrating.

Tried that.

Was your phone charged enough or did the battery run out while u were flashing?
Try putting just the battery in the freezer for a few minutes in a plastic bag.10 min perhaps. And then try to charge it. If charging light comes on, let it charge well before turning on phone. Make sure its not wet when u put it back in phone.

You haw international version of Sgs3 ???
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
The battery was around 40 %
I even tried putting the phone on the charger for 10 minutes and still nothing.
Phone wont boot at all.
What rom you whant t flash???
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I was trying this one, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738527 but it failed.
So I restored my phone from a backup.
The charge light not comming on, phone not turning on is independent of the phone os. Try putting battery in freezer for a few minutes and then try to charge.

No I dont.
I just realized that there were 2 different forums.
1 for sprint at&t, etc, then the GSM ones.
Probably why the rom didnt flash and then aborted.
Either, way, I then wiped everything and then restored from my factory rom.
It said it was successfull, and I hit restart.
Now my phone does nothing.

So I unfortunately ended up with the charging bug.
When I put my phone In the wall charger it doesnt want to charge. The charging indicators all turn on but I still lose battery.
I've tested the cord and charger on my friends phone and they work. I've also put in a different battery with the same result. Also booted into safe mode.
Help?

And if someone is in trouble, these possibilities can lead him/her to the solution of the problem..

I would try reverting back to stock, and if that doesn't work, then i would get a replacement. Sounds like a hardware issue.

The same thing for me, some times the phone take all night long to charge 5%, and the phone don't charge, I got to switch between different charger, HTC Apple Samsung etc... It's very difficult, but I think it's the battery, it's just a simple supposition.

Try blowing some compressed air into the micro usb, could be something in there, if it's not charging at all it will be hardware related.
Another thing will be to check another battery iy could be the battery has failed for some reason, if none of those work flash stock and run triangle away to reset flash counter and it's off to a service center because it could be physical damage to the micro usb.

That's a weird situation, somehow your battery just isn't getting voltage. Get an external charger, they sell 2 batts and an external charger for less than $20 on amazon.

I actually had the same issue when I first installed a custom rom on my s3. All I had to do to fix it was run a quick nandroid restore. Other's that I've talked to who had this issue told me to try different kernels, specifically kernels designed around battery life. Hope this helps
