Great, thanks. Please Test backup function, if it is working, we can install custom rom too.
And sdcard maybe never will working, because it's so hard to fix anything without the device, but I hope i can make a recovery what can install custom roms at least.

Great info, so it seems CyanogenMod for LockedBootloader is W.I.P. I think it will be ready tomorrow. :highfive:

touch in cwm work properly we just have to touch little bit below the navigation icons.....hence the icons need to be relocated..........

Really? GREAT, ALMOST UNBELIEVEABLE NEWS! Thank u so much !!!

[Q] Volume down button not working for CWM entry but works normally

Hi Folks,
I have a stock .587 firmware with locked BL.
I have done some tweaks on it listed below:
- New adreno libs.
- Walkman port V6 by ThilinaC
- removed bloatwares manually and freezed some others.
- JB SystemUI changes by ThilinaC
- adrenaline boost, etc.
I was learning on decompiling and recompiling the apk's. So I picked up the simplest one. i.e. enabling on screen buttons in framework-res.apk.
I made change into in one of the xml and I successfully rebuilt the apk. and flashed it using root explorer. But it gave bootloops.
I tried starting CWM recovery using volume down button at the Sony logo as usual. But it didnt start. I tried so many things like connecting to USB and restarting the phone at that time to start recovery by same pressing volume down button method.
But it didnt work still.
Since I was not able to go into recovery, and since my nand backup was some days old and had some data which was needed.
I flashed only system partition from the .587 ftf. using flashtool and rooted the phone again using normal procedure.
I thought the volume down button will work for recovery but it is still not working. (The button works normally when phone is on i.e for volume down process.)
Please help me what can be done.
P.S.: As of now I can go into recovery using x-parts or any other tool like titanium. But only manual recovery entry is not working.
So it means, I wont be able to go into recovery if I get bootloops again. And I am afraid to change/port anything on my phone now.
try the back button instead of the volume down button

back button also didnt work.. Thanks for your reply anyways....
To add to my point....when I repeatedly press volume down/back button, the LED turns blue,,,but as per my observation, previously it used to stay till recovery starts, but now it turns on for 4-5 seconds and then goes off, and then the Experia bootanim shows up.
Is it like the exploit which activates recovery at boot time is damaged?(just a guess)..If maybe yes..how can I solve it?
Try to install recovery again via flashtool.

How did you install CWM? Try taping on screen when you see boot logo.

Or flash a stock kernel with recovery included (I think you can still do that with locked bootloader, but not sure as I unlocked as soon as I got the phone)

Thanks Madfysh...tapping on the screen worked... :good: so happy...
I had tried every button.. Didnt think of screen though...
Initially, I had installed CWM thru DoomLoRD's rooting toolkit. Then I had installed x-parts by pvyParts. There it said a new CWM version was available(v5.5). So I had upgraded that.
Was it the upgrade that had this change?

There is one version floating around which is using tapping on screen to enter in recovery, so since for you, back and volume- didn't work. Tap on screen was only option left, having in mind that you said that you can enter recovery using xparts, meaning that your recovery is installed ok.
p.s. I doubt you used doomlord's root toolkit to install CWM

ok..got it..thanks...
For rooting I used Doomlord's toolkit. and the CWM 5.0 comes with that only..I had read somewhere about xparts...so installed it and updated the recovery.tar thru it...that must have done the trick...

What changes does this bring over the CWM v5. something for locked bootloaders?
Just tested :
-> Not touch recovery
-> Doesn't support ext_card
-> Every thing works.
-> Bootloop on Non Stock ROM (But the develloper warning we about that)
Going back to touch recovery.

Because you'r on the Stock Rom.
I was on CM9.
I know that's normal

People, calm down. CM for unlocked BL has its own CWM. So what's the point has used CWM for locked BL wanting to install rom that requires unlocked BL, because it has its own CWM?
I do not understand you. It's obvious that you will have bootloop using CM. In addition, the developer clearly said that CWM is for stock rom. ONLY.

Umm on Existenz 1.0.0 this doesn't work and stays stuck on Sony Logo then after sometime goes back to rebooting normally?
Please help guys I want to flash 1.37 OTA update
After installing the experinz ROM you need to flash the NUT rebootmod that was posted in the op of rom.
I had issues with this 2nd time around. Try installing busy box then install into system then flash again even (after 2-3 try it should stick)

Solved : Deamon not running error in Xperia SP
some one got an error like "deamon not running" error for xperia sp, especially in 64 bit computers. I found one solution
just download the attachment from my post and follow the steps
1. Extract the file to adb folder in CWM 6.0.3.0 For Locked Bootloader ( replace the old adb file )
2. click install.bat
note: I'm not modifying any of your work. this is the latest adb file works with 64bit computers also. I dnt know any one else found it or need it. its works for me.....
Thanks

Strange, but did not work for me. Not even the normal cwm
I flashed it via existing CWM 6.0.4.5, installed it from extsd card. It showed me Install complete. When after pressing the key sequence for recovery mode, the screen that flashes just before cwm(light greyish) flashed and then again complete dark screen and device reboots and boots in normal mode(means turns on).
I again tried flashing it via odin. Same Result
Flashed 6.0.4.5 and it worked as before.
Not sure what I did wrong. (Though I don't think I have done any mistake as I've done this several times)
Still went through the steps given in the post and followed. My bad luck it seems...

If your phone is not starting you should download a custom ROM (like percy_g2 roms, they rock :good and:
- Copy the ROM to your SD Card
- Extract boot.img and fastboot it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963961)
- Press "power" or "volume up" button (depending on CWM) when device vibrates to enter recovery
- Format system, data, cache, dalvik cache
- Install the ROM then Reboot

If your phone is not starting you should download a custom ROM (like percy_g2 roms, they rock :good and:
- Copy the ROM to your SD Card
- Extract boot.img and fastboot it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963961)
- Press "power" or "volume up" button (depending on CWM) when device vibrates to enter recovery
- Format system, data, cache, dalvik cache
- Install the ROM then Reboot
But be careful! If you doesn't have a compatible ROM, you can brick your phone.

Good, let us know if nemesis kernel worked, but after flashing it you also should also install Enigma rom!
Used it a few month ago and it was really fast!

Try pressing it continuously from the moment it boots, before it vibrates.

Just asking cause i remember i had the same issue and had to install CWM manually before flashing...
