I have searched xda and found that the 4.0+ face unlock app can modded to use the back camera, but the devs found it pointless and lame and did not do it.
please can someone mod the faceunlock to work with our little aria just for fun and make it work with our arias running cm9/10?

Basically, if you need to sit here and ask how to do it then there is no need to even ask in the first place.
No one that knows the scripting/coding to implement this to a ROM is going to tell you where anybody can see in broad daylight e.g. here, Doixanh has put a lot of hard work into creating his ROMs that include this and if it were me i wouldn't be so willing to just give it away because that is one of the key features that makes his ROMs unique.
If you are so desperate to get this feature, then use his ROMs.

I like the smiley key, but I need the return key more often than that... on SMS, yes. Understand that I love the stock MMS and keyboard now more than froyo or gingerbread combined. I don't find the need to install any 3rd party sms/keyboard apps anymore.
I've been going around the forums to see if I'm the only one looking for this. Turns out I'm not. Fortunately someone found a solution. Unfortunately it's for the Nexuses and Galaxies. Fortunately the source is on github. Unfortunately I don't know what to do with it.
I'm not trying the modded apk that's posted for Samsung. I'm wondering though if there is a large enough user need here in O1 to have someone kind enough to mod or port it? Or, better yet, point me to the right direction in making this happen with my own hands.

Hi there, I'm up to end my GB-blur based ROM, and I'm lacking of this, obviously can't just borrow it from other ROM as base is not the same so, could anyone help me take this mod working? actually know it's as easy as changing sensor status, bue know about framework-res dependence and all that stuff, and it's not a mod that really is as simple as it seems...
so please, anyone who could help me make this work... it'd be just great

i want to swap to a AOSP based rom but i want to be able to take some samsung apks with me... is this at all possible?
the ones i want are:
Dialer (Phone)
Alarm clock
Samsung memo
Gallery
Calculator
Web Browser
fm radio
txt message apk
Most (or all) of these apps require touchwiz framework, so the answer is yes and no.
Yes, if you take also the Samsung's Touchwiz launcher and some libraries (jut enough for these apps to work), but then, that defeats the purpose of going to AOSP.
No, not if you don't want Samsung touchwiz at all.
im sure ive seen people using samsungs camera on AOSP and also "s memo"... :S have they had coding changed to be ported or something?
if so does anyone have any idea if any of the apks ive mentioned have also been ported??
