Hi folks,
I was trying to get some more extra memory, so I installed a2SD with Stock ROM, I haven't noticed any improvement afterwards, although a2sdgui is reporting Apps are on SD. I installed CleanView ICE 1.3 with the same result.
Titanium Backup reports:
System-ROM 167 MB (17.2 MB free)
Internal 179 MB (22.1 MB free)
SD 14.8 GB (3.8 GB free)
Only 179 MB internal memory, is that normal?
Any Ideas?

Hi,
As gsmarena stated:
Droid/milestone: 133 MB storage, 256 MB RAM
Hero: 288 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM
Does this mean hero has more internal storage as well as ram?
I'm a little bit confused!
Thanks!
The ROM (Read Only Memory) is not the storage, the rom is where the os is stored when you flash a new rom, you cannot write to this portion of the memory just read from it, i think the hero comes with just over 100 mb or storage, i cant remember tho
Hey guys, I just have a quick question regarding the memory of the tablet.
I have a 32GB model, but the thing is that in the Settings -> Memory, the Internal Memory (which is the on-board one, not the.SD card) is showing as "Available: 19,68 GB".
But how come that there is only 19 GB available when it's the 32GB model? Where are the other 12GB?
Not all 32 GB are user accessible. Some is reserved for the OS, and some is partitioned solely for apps (I think its something like 8 GB for the OS and 4GB for apps).
On the 16 GB version, only abour 4 GB is available as user accessible storage. So the 12 GB that are "missing" are right on (same as my 16 GB version).
EDIT: Didn't quite get the numbers right (didn't have my Flyer with me when I typed the above response).
16 GB Flyer: roughly 4 GB for OS, 4 GB for apps, leaving about 8 GB for user-accessible storage
32 GB Flyer: roughly 4 GB for OS, 8 GB for apps leaving about 20 GB for user-accessible storage
Hi,
I searched the forum and read a few articles, but could not find the solution.
My sgs with CM10.1 Nightly (20130314) warns about low storage. Several apps don't work anymore due to not enough internal storage.
I checked the storage:
internal storage: 360 MB in use, 1.1 GB free
RAM: 253 MB in use, 116 MB free
SD: 5.3 GB in use, 329 MB free
This doesn't look to me like real storage problems.
I cleared internal cache through the recovery, moved apps to the SD card, but that doesn't seem te help. Frankly, I don't know what's wrong. Can anyone tell me what the real storage problem might be?
as we know we have a 4GB of internal memory 1GB of it for user and 3 GB for app right ??

1GB - EMMC (Internal Storage for files)
1.2GB - Internal memory for Apps.
990MB - ROM.
That is what I know.
I can't install a large app . In storage settings says :
INTERNAL STORAGE :
Total 8gb
Firmware Rom 2gb( 0 free),
System Rom 1gb (free 0.4 gb),
User Rom 1,97GB(free 200 MB,
Apps are here ) ,
User virtual SD card 2,85(free 1.65 gb)
USER VIRTUAL SD CARD:
Available 1.65 Gb,
Apps 1.3 gb, etc.
EXTERNAL SD CARD:
Total 8gb, available 1,24 Gb
Apps 1,03gb etc.
I have default save location on SD, I have restarted play store, apps are installed on user Rom. When I delete a large app user Rom has more space. I have 1 Gb free on internal and external memory. How to use this memory for default save location and not user Rom (it is only 2 gb), Or how to extend partitions? System is lagging and a notification says I have not free space. Zte v975
