In the above link, you can see that the "Android version" is 4.0.1
Does that mean TheMyth ICS is based on the official Anroid 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich?
Because I thought TheMyth ICS is a stock custom ROM that's just made to look like the official Ice Cream Sandwich.
In the link above, it says:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Features in Lite version:
- Based on 2.3.5 BUKS1 (I edited version in build.prop to 4.0.1 )
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Does this answer my own quesiton? It IS based on the stock ROM (gingerbread) right? If so, is that why many users are saying that it's pretty stable? I mean compared to CM....
Thanks guys!
creator stated that its based on GB.. he just changed one setting to see version as 4.0.1
it is stock based rom so stable than CM
if you read the 1st post you will know
======================
SGSII styled rom
for galaxy ace

The Serious MOD V0
for galaxy gio

made by Robinandroid
This ROM is very stable on the velocity (my Ace has already reached 190MB free). And the battery are perfect but not perfect as stock ROM. I recommend if you like the ROM Stock, ICS, and need velocity.
PS: The games is wonderfull in the MythICS

Hello.
1.When you guys say "stock-based ROM", is that the same with "stock custom ROM"?
2. What is the difference between stock-based ROM and a custom ROM like cyanogenMod? Is stock-based ROM very much like stock ROM with only minor tweaks while cyanogenMod is like a total overhaul? and therefore stock-based ROMs are more stable?
3. The instructions for installing the ThemythICS includes "Do a full wipe" before installing TheMythROM. Is this necessary and what does it mean?
4. In http://themythace.co.cc/ , what are these steps for and are they necessary?
Step 5: Wait for your phone to boot. After it opens, You can go to menu then open Tweak Manager and enable:
+ VM Swapiness
+ DT: Auto Start
Step 6: After u finish with Tweak manager, continue to open A2SDGUI.
+ Enable Swap and Zipalign.
+ Open 2nd tab and select "sd-ext".
Press Move and wait for your phone to reboot. It will reboot several times so plz wait

Thanks guys!
what is the different between mad rom and cyanogenmod 7.2?

LOL!!
The mean difference is that MadRom is based on Android 2.2 (Froyo) - the last version is v2.5 and is Android 2.2.2, while the "stable" is the MadTeam 2.0.9; CyanogenMod7 is based on Android 2.3.7 (Gingerbread) - last version is v1.9 hotfix 3.
Generally speaking the CyanogenMod gives you more speed and reactivity, while MadRom is more stable..
Go for CyanogenMOD if you want speed, added functionality, good performance in games, etc.,
Go for MADROM if you want the simplicity and stability of a stock ROM..
Hi. I bought NFS: MW few days ago and it was running fine on sammy's stock 4.1.2. I decided to flash custom rom to get better performance, but the game freezes my phone shortly after starting the race. Audio is stuck as well and I can only turn it off by holding power or removing the battery. Those are the roms I tried so far, it freezes on all of them the same way.
Cyanogen 10.1 - nightly (latest) (CM's kernel)
Cyanogen 10.1 - nightly (latest) + Dorimanx 9.41
CM-10.1.3-i9100 (stable) - default kernel
CM-10.1.3-i9100 (stable) - Dorimanx 9.41
Sentinel Rom 4.80 (default kernel)
Sentinel Rom 4.80 + Dorimanx 9.34
Sentinel Rom 4.80 + Dorimanx 9.41
I tried turning on Force GPU Rendering and I tried "Disable HW overlays" in dev. options. Any other ideas?
This is called "The Mali Bug" . All CyanogenMod ,and ROMs based on that have it.That means on heavy GPU load, like NFS,it will simply freeze,no matter what kernel you are using. All CM 10,1 and 10.2 are bugged.Your options are:
- go back to stock 4.1.2 ROM,or stock based
- use an older CyanogenMod (CM 10 and older doesn't have this problem.)
- Carbon ROM is the only non stock based ROM without Mali bug.You can try it.
Some ROMs have a base code to programming, TouchWiz per example give support to Samsung apps, and this apps can't run on other ROMs. In case of heavy games like NFS, which have a specific programation to use all HD potencial of the hardware, they may use this base to make game run faster and clean. Maybe this explain why NFS can't run in custom ROMs.
I read some ROM threads which said in the post NFS isn't compatible when someone ask about game compatiblity...
Sorry about any mistakes if i wrote something wrong. English isn't my natural language
Thank you for letting me know about "The Mali Bug". I will try Carbon ROM since I am already flashing/wiping and if I don't like it I'll get back on stock.

Hi people, I received this cell model of a family, but with the current Stock ROM have many problems, I know about the world of custom ROM's, and would like to enhance this mobile. Since I have not been a follower of the development of mobile, could help me and recommend me the best custom ROM for daily use there?

Latest android is 5.1.1 on this phone (not stock). I recommend omni 5.1.1 for a beginner for stability
Last official ROM is based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. There will be no more official updates (the phone is 4 years old... I hope you bought it for cheap).
The good news is that, despite being old, stock ROM works good, so in most cases there is no need to flash a custom ROM.
If you want to try a newer custom ROM, AFAIK latest one is Lysergic Acid's CyanogenMod 12.1 .
Don't expect it to be as stable as stock ROM, though.

I bought it for 50 €. What about Speed and Overclocking on Custom ROM? Is it faster than Stock ROM for Gaming and Performance? 4.1.2 works perfect without problems.

Then you struck a bargain. :good:
I never tried overclocking and I just started trying custom ROM myself, so I can't help you.
The only thing I can say is that CyanogenMod 12.1 by Lysergic Acid is slightly faster than last official ROM, but it is not as stable.

If you want overclocking, you need to install a custom kernel like dorimanx kernel (up to kitkat) or gustavo (up to lollipop). If you need speed, lollipop isn't for you (still unpolished and unstable). Kitkat is currently the best option for speed, stability and compatibility. As for a good combo for rom and kernel, have a look at my sig

I think that this i91000 is a good machine... it has a lot of customs roms... kernels.... this phone.... remember me to my old motorola defy plus... an other phone whit a lot of custom roms.... I am very happy whit this terminal....may be not a grand phone whit a big hard... but it has a world of oportunities selcting roms.
Sorry for my bad english.
By the way.... based in a stock rom.. you have Neatrom.... 4.1.2 or based on stock rom has low Consumption and work more light.... then 4.4.4 kitkat y better but spend more battery (no much... you would test it)... for me... the best performance and smothly are the roms based on 4.1.2. but.... but.... but... every phone is a different world.
