Hi,
Just rooted my S2 for the 1st time to the above ROM, brilliant! Big thanks to the developers and i will be donating to them soon. Just 2 things I'm unsure of, which i can't seem to find in the forums.
1.) Is it possible to change the Lock Screen Feature? ie.. to just a standard swipe to unlock, and not the 3 different options as standard on this ROM?
2.) I'm sure the brightness isn't as bright as usual? I notice on some apps it looks a bit soft, and in general doesn't look as bright as was on stock, or is this just my eyes?
Any helps appreciated,
Kierran.

Thanks Sun90, Been looking through there, there are so many pages! I've got 1 or 2 ready to try, is there any that you suggest or like yourself? I also downloaded Holo Locker from the Play Store, but it doesn't really change much. I want to change it so i can get rid of the 3 unlock options etc...?
UPDATE - Just tried flashing 2 different lockscreen mods from Grobak i think. and phone wouldn't boot...

does anyone know of a way to run the note in tablet mode in ICS 4.0.4 so all my apps display in 100% full screen?
Not sure if there's a way to do it in system. I know for sure you can do it with most home screen replacements-launchers.

oh, like which?
I use APex launcher and it has an option to hide the status bar. Nova has it too.
Iam currently using sslauncher.

Apex settings.
Cosmo D from outer space!
I came to rock the human race!
You have to freeze it. The only free option I have ever seen is an app called "AntTek App Manager". Now when you freeze the statusbar it will keep popping up a FC but to fix this freeze the status bar and after it disappears defrost it and it should still stay hidden til you reboot.
Another vote fo using Apex launcher -- it has the option to autohide the status bar in phone mode (dpi of 214,or higher) .
Now, Tablet Mode (dpi of 213, or lower) is a different story. For that, you'll have to get with the ROM developer to implement a hide button. (Hybrid ROM has this).
I guess what I really want is to run the note in tablet mode so it is 100% full screen (I dont need that black bar at the top of the screen that displays the clock, battery life, cell reception/bars, etc)

Which ROM?
OnlyOne ICS ROM Beta 4*HYFR*for AT&T*Galaxy Note*...
Hopefully there is a mod like this that could preserve the quickpanel
You should go with CM9, AOKP, or The Hybrid if you're looking for a functional tablet mode. OnlyOne isn't gonna cut it...
Will any of those preserve the quickpanel and are those ICS?

Yes, they're all ICS, and I *think* the 15toggle mod works on Hybrid...maybe. I'm not sure whether or not there is a version of it for the others.
Warning: you will lose S-pen functionality with CM9 and AOKP, but not Hybrid.
I suggest you go read as much of the Hybrid's thread as possible. It's slightly more complex than what you may be used to.
Good luck!

Does SSlauncher work in tablet mode? I've toyed with it a little before on my evo, but haven't tried it on the note yet.
Yes Sir, it sure does.
aokp has a setting for this i used it all the time on our rom,
paranoid has it aswell as im using it on that one aswell.
just search settings when you use roms you find all sorts of things not mentioned

Running Hyfr B4 only one with 15 toggle mod. a couple screen shots- I'm in a poor signal area, they may not post.
here is tablet ui set in paranoid with navbar hidden *works in phone ui aswell, and any dpi launcher setting.*
Could anyone, please, come up with a mod to remove the brightness control slider from the notification panel in XXBLG8?
A lot of people don't need this slider and it occupies a lot of space in the panel.
Would be awesome if someone made a mod to remove the slider.

It would be awesome if you could just, you know, keep your thoughts about awesome to yourself, shut up and let us live in harmony...Yeah,that kind of stuff would be awesome.
Why in the hell would anyone want to remove one of the most useful things Sammy has done to their ROMs?I wonder...
Anyway, that's not the only problem as some may, curiously, disagree with me.You shouldn't have posted here.Unless you already have a way of removing it and you're hiding it just to tease us.In which case, well,it'd be lame, but better than posting a request like that in the themes section. That would, maybe, suit General or Q&A.Again,maybe...
Agree it may better suit general.
Also agree that it takes up space. Display brightness app is better for me, invisible over.my status bar. Easier to get to than the slider.
The above post is a bit out of order

You can always reflash the rom, wipe cache/dalvik cache and format system and flash the rom. You will not loose data/apps that way.

Wouldn't it be awesome if you didn't have to worry about tools with no life whose whole world revolves around their presence on XDA, talking smack and criticizing others' posts seeking input and information, all the while purporting this "I'm a diety that knows everything about android code and you're just a noob" bullsh*t attitude?
It's pathetic. It's like, every time you wanna post something looking for info, you have to add all these BS qualifiers as well. "Ok...so I wanna ask this, but first, yes...I searched other posts, yes...I checked out the FAQ, no...I'm not a noob, yes...I know how to flash, etc, etc, etc" just so you don't get some smart-ass comment from tool like this dude. All these nerds with no lives that act so arrogant online cuz they can get away with it, when they would run at first sight of a fist, if they tried this sh*t out in the real world.
It really is pathetic, and does a dis-service to the XDA forums.
And for the record, the brightness slider is moronic. It is the stupidest add to JB, and even more idiotic that they rolled it out with zero setting options to enable/disable it.
hello, does anyone know a mod\guide\tutorial for a "Transparent Lock Screen" in ics stock touchwiz
or a NON aosp\aokp\cm ics rom with a transparent lock screen so i can dissect it and compare to an unmodified firmware?
i need this for the pattern lock!
i searched & found those for gb:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1261860
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342802
which does not work for ics
i tried searching outside i9100 forums and found those two
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32560062#post32560062
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19032014&postcount=6
didn't work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889896
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1911358
aosp T__T
i tried this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32560312#post32560312
which is for samsung epic 4g touch (SPH-D710)
i can now set png's instead of jpg (awesome) but...
their background is black instead of clear\transparent
non aosp/aokp roms with clear screen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1742739
dead link :/ but topic states it uses jkay framework
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21941034&postcount=7
does jkay framework has a clear pattern lock screen?
https://www.google.com/search?q=loc...=imvns&ei=lf50UOvoIMnmtQa3zID4CA&start=0&sa=N
7 pages of nothing , ok maybe a little bit but nothing that solves the problem T___T
i went as far as to search the phrases mod, guide, tutorial in the i9100 and went topic after topic to see if anyone posted anything relevant to lock screens
after a few days i'm about to give up :/
and so i posted here
any and all HELP will be greatly appreciated,
best regards

is the pattern lock also transparent?
any chance for a screenshot of a transparent "pattern lock"?
I had it 2 months ago, worked nice.
And if I remember, pattern lock isn't transparent.

[PORT][ROM][ICS/Jelly Bean mod]JellyBlast V3.0.5 [OTA5]
I really wanted to post this to the forum above, but dont have enough forum posts, is there anyway to disable lockscreens altogether?????? I would like to use the Holo lockscreen or WP7 but they seem to have issues overiding the lockscreens already on the Jellybean ROM.
Thanks for updating the message colours, ROM much appreciated

"The forum above" would be the wrong place to post this (how is it related to development? => It's not). This is the correct place.
AFAIK, there's no way to do what you want to do (disable the stock lockscreen and it only). Might want to make sure your alternate lockscreens always have enough memory, or else they'll be killed and won't be able to override the default lockscreen.
Yes there is a way to do it
Open your notification panel and go to extreme right
There you will see a toggle showing lock icon
Disabled it by clicking on it and voila
Well, next time
Ask your questions on Q&A section.

For me, it does
Is its possible?
its driving me insane - it makes my s9+ feel like a cheap laggy phone - what a terrible useless effect.
Do you mean you pull the status bar? Because I like to have it and using Swift installer to do this
I mean this blur effect here

I didn't say it was a solution to the blur thing you mentioned. I just said your issue, plus the slow switching animation are things bothering me in Pie and cannot solve it.
Also tried with different themes, but none of them modified those things

I don't think this is possible to remove the blur. It was introduced already in the good lock app quickstar on android 8 and now they added it as default.
when I pull down the notification bar there is no lag though. But I am using the feature "reduce animations" which I really like.. way better than setting animations to 0 in dev options..
Is there any way to make the icons in the quick settings smaller though? They are waaaay to big for me and is killing the experience.

it doesnt lag in the home screen - but the animation is terrible when u do it in the lock screen - partially because it decides for you to open the entire drawer

It's for the better, that blur was horrible and out of place
At the beginning i thinked the same, but the content is Blurred to focus on The Notification Pannel i guess, When you touch the status bar The Blur Animation(Transition) was a nice effect, they should leave it as optional and Not Remove it fully

I have the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy Note 9 side by side, both running Android pie. I wasn't paying attention at first, but I noticed something after I installed a good lock, which worked perfectly on my Galaxy Note 9. Upon uninstalling good lock, it is around this time that I noticed that there is a blur background when I pull on my notification bar. But I cannot remember if it was always like that. Comparing it to the Android pie in note8, this is not the case. The background remains transparent but a little bit dimmed, which is what I prefer.

Smaller or are we able to add more than 6 on the top row? Hell my s7 or s5 I think I could have 8 icons on the top. Makes it way more convenient when accessing things. I noticed with Oreo I can have 6 and there is no where that I can find that I can add more... Is this a feature that Oreo removed?
Thanks,
