I think you are not using a original SONY otg cable the other ones are working for 4gb pen drives ( might on 8gb - only some brands) and lower but not on higher capacity one's..

Check whether your otg cable is working with usb keyboard or mouse....
I think you are using otg cable for s3 & s2....
You can find the cheap compatible one on ebay.in

Hi
Yes, USB OTG works fine, i fond here on Xda the proper (flashable) missing modules, and I use a nokia cable.
I can mount flashdrive, use mouse and joypad; but a card reader I own is not recognised.
You can use both USB OTG helper or Chainfire's Stickmount apps.

im already on stock kernel
anyone????
Try unlocking bootloader..
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
If it's not a kernel issue, then it probably needs extra power to run, try plugging it through a powered USB hub, see if that works.

You realised our phone do not support usb 2.0 port?
Therefore, use a usb otg cable. It should work

Use a branded pendrive and one which eats less power and mostly it has to be formatted to FAT or FAT32 not sure about filesystem :-/

Ye you can if you got the HDMI wire and S3 adapter. Works quite nice actually.

Wire is there. But what adapter ? Some hdmi adapter or anything ? Please explain.
Go buy a hdmi adaptor for the s3, has to be the specific 11 pin model - normal ones won't work.

As you will see the HDMI wire will not fit into the s3 , hence you need the adapter.
