Hi guys,
I need help with my rooted GS3 I9300 phone, when i press the camera i pops-up but there is only a black screen on it and after a while shows "camera failed", has anyone have this kind of issue before?
Yesterday the camera application of my Galaxy S 3 has stopped working properly. Whenever I try to take picture or change any setting of application it closes itself and displays a message "Unfortunately the camera application has stopped working".
I have tried different camera apps like camera fx, deleted cache of application,... but with no success. Actually some strange yellow rectangles appeared around buttons in application and if I press those buttons with yellow rectangle the application just crash. Bellow are the screenshots, for better understanding of the problem.
Is there any solution to the problem, preferably without reflashing?
No flash then its a service centre or you can flash a stock rom see if that fixes it .

Hi xda devs,
Just got into the rooting scene and am using a rooted Verizon gs4 using the exact instructions listed in the rooting thread. After I rooted it last night, it was working fine. I installed titanium to make backups of what I needed, and proceeded to uninstall a few bloatware apps.
I turn off the phone, go to sleep, wake up an hour ago and turn on my phone. I notice the clock isn't showing up on the unlock screen (stock, no password protect), and the lense flare isnt showing up when I slide to unlock. The screen doesn't unlock the first few times, but when it does, I get the error message "unfortunately, gallery has stopped". When I go to the gallery app, lt hangs for a few seconds, my home screen turns black (notification bar is still still there) and then it reloads with the error message.
Anyone else had this error? And if so, how to fix it?
After a bit of searching, i found and decided to install a different gallery app from the play store. I can access my images now, but I cant apply images as lock screens/home screens. It seems to work for the time being, but hopefully the guys who know about this (hopefully I'm not the only one) are working on a fix. The app is a ice cream sandwich knockoff, but I happen to like the stock jelly bean gallery better.
also, just wanted to point out that the lens flare/time/date disappearing only happens on power on, after phone has been booted up, it returns. The gallery stopped working message only happens on power on and when i try to access the app.
Hi, from some time i have a camera issue with my Galaxy s2 . When i want to use the camera it shows me only black screen but you can make touch focus and you have the control buttons working. Sometimes it just stucks and says that the camera has stopped but sometimes works prefectly. Currently i`m with Reserection Remix rom (latest build) , but i`ve also tried flashing stock rom....again the same thing. I know that these phones sometimes have a shutter problem , so i`ve ordered a new camera for replacement. I did the replacement and there is no change ...again same things and most of the time no camera . What it could be ?
Hey guys
I recently flashed a rom and everything seems to be working fine but after a few days when I long hold the camera button it shows a black screen and says camera or flashlight is in use , close the apps and try again. When I open the camera app from the drawer it says camera unfortunately stopped working. I have a task manager . I saw all active apps and nothing see,s to be interfering. but the craze part is the camera works perfect with a 3rd party app.so I guess it's some software glitch right? so I flashed a stock rom back to my device but the issue persists. I flashed stock rom before and never had this issue . so could anyone please help me out!?
I have the same probleme in my S3neo
