Hi. Is there a way to increase the brightness a little on the LED notification? I like it a little more brighter.
I don't like to use Light manager of light flow, because there are som bugs with them and also the drain a lot of battery. I know that raising the brightness also will consume a little extra, but not as much as those apps mentioned..

for a while now my screen on the x10 goes brighter and darker while browsing , not by a lot but its noticable and kind of annoying . Im curious if anyone else has this on their phone , i got nothing installed to control brightness its just stock 2.1 os. And its not because of battery since it does it when plugged in.
It's cos of the auto brightness adjustment function. =D
If you need to access it/ turn it off you have to do it through the 'Power Control' Widget
Thanx for the replies ill check out the power control widget. Im just wondering if the random change from dim to bright waste more battery ?

There is a light sensor on the front of the phone that turns the brightness up if there is a lot of light in the room, if there isn't a lot of light in the room the brightness decreases. As mentioned above you can control this auto-brightness function from the Power Control widget.
I wouldn't say it has any noticeable effect on your battery life, unless you always are in very bright environments that would make the sensor turn the display brightness all the way up.
Hi, I see there are more and more mods and tweaks designed to help boost battery life. Any efforts like this are really helpful and I'm glad of them.
The biggest use of my battery however is the screen, how about your phone? We have all tried turning down brightness, leaving automatic brightness on etc. but I really think any significant progress that we could make is through changes to how the screen works. Ultimately, I think perhaps the screen resolution and the Sony tweaks like Bravia are too powerful for the size of this battery to cope. Does anyone think something else may be the problem?
I haven't noticed any difference when turning Bravia off. What else could we do?
I use root dim
Always keep bravia engine off ( I dun find any difference to b true)
And I have a brightness bar in notification drawer to adjust brightness quickly
I didn't know about that app, I'll give it a try now. I notice that when you turn down the brightness to around 30% or less that the backlight completely turns off? I bet that is the real killer of the battery.

I use root dim
Below 10% I cant sew anything
It saves battery coz it decreases brightness
What night mode is that it adds a grey shade
Night mode has no effect on brightness
And dim brightness means battery saved
is there way how to lower my screen brightness level lower then stock? I want lower my screen brightness because I use my fone in dark a lot and my eyes get tired really fast. So I am looking for any mod or application which is capable of something like that.
screen filter
Hi all,
I frequently use my phone at night in a pitch black room. It is therefore nice to have a very dim screen. The most I can dim it is not enough.
Yes, I know of programs such as ScreenFilter which provide a software overlay of the screen. But, that doesn't help battery life, and the screen is still emitting the same amount of light.
Is there a way to edit some build.prop setting or something to reduce the minimum brightness? I'm on CM10.1 if it matters.
Thank you!
there is a way to increase the brightness of the always on display even by root or Xposed ?
Given that the "always on" feature is a way to light up the screen to show notifications without loosing to much battery and that LG G5's screen is IPS and not AMOLED, i think boosting the brightness would only hurt the battery as it would light up the whole screen. I keep it turned off and rely on the notification LED. Cheers!
