[Q] [XPS] MTP in Recovery? - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

See, the thing is that I'm fairly new to this unlocked bootloader stuff on the Xperia S, though I was kinda experienced in my X10, but well, I flashed CWM Recovery into my Xperia S, whiped everything mistakenly (formated the storage), and now I'm just sitting in the Recovery screen, with no zip (rom) to flash, I tried to connect the phone in MTP to copy the zip file again but it won't do anything (Just Windows hardware error sound comes out -hardware was not succesfully installed). Tried flashing back a kernel.sin but it just won't do anything it will just stay on the Sony logo forever. Tried to flash stock firm via flashtools but whenever I try to boot into flash mode, I get a Blue Screen of Death.
Only fastboot mode seems to work.
I little help will be greatly apreciated.

in recovery, there's an option for mount storage, you can mount your phone to pc if thats what you want.

8. now u phone normaly n u can access flash mode to flash generic rom
i get to shell root then it cant find my phone any suggestions please?
if you've had this problem how much did it cost to fix?
Once again, if you haven't unlocked your bootloader then it's impossible to completely brick your phone, you can always enable flash mode and flash firmwares as long as you have all SE drivers installed.
ive tried to flash stock 2.1 with flash tool but i flash old rom (2.1) with xrecovery by mistake over 2.3 custom rom & kernal after that everythink started to go wrong xrecovery worked once then said can't mount sd card also refused to flash wolf v4 due to sd card not mounted, so i reboot then xrecovery was broken then i tried flash tool again it said starting to flash but failed as debugging was off but i had problem with xrecovery and rom would not boot tried few times then it did not show the sony ericsson logo on boot & it has black screen been like this ever scine and 100% cannot load in flashtool it says unknown device when connected. also i did not use bootloader unlock & i have tried pc companion & se update tool neither pick up phone

Turn the phone off completely, get the stock firmware you want to flash, choose to flash it via flash tool and wait till it shows up for you to plug in the phone, put the USB cable into the phone, holding the back button put the battery in, should go straight to flash mode, just hold up, it should flash back stock rom.
Proceed the usual root steps etc after it's finished.
wow wtf its working ive tried this about 50 times already it said please turn debug on cheers dude i crapped myself 3 wanted £420 so i could upgrade

Newbie help please de-bricking MT6577

I bricked my MT6577-based phone. I ran an app which re-partitions the drive, and this stopped the phone from booting -- the initial boot splash screen appears (in this case an Android icon), but it doesn't get to the point where it loads the OS (which would be represented by an Android icon where the droid's eyes and 'jetpack' light up).
I have placed the phone in recovery mode (power+vol up), and connected this to my PC (Windows 7). The PC does not recognise the phone and flags up an "unknown device" (code 43), so I cannot do anything with the flash tool or MTK tools.
I'm assuming that the original ROM is still intact, but can anyone confirm: is this phone recoverable? I should point out that it appears not to be possible to get a copy of the stock ROM for this device, I have searched at length with no success.
If it's dead without the ROM, a single line to the effect will put my mind at rest at least
Reinstall the drivers and then connect your phone in recovery mode
Use yuweng's ctr recovery porting tool and get the custom recovery
Then in wipe menu, wipe data and emmc partition then try
Otherwise you'll need the stock rom to he flashed by flashtool
Press thanks :good: if I've helped :highfive:

[Q] Flash fail, total blackscreen

Hello, Iam totaly f***ed up, I have Xperia P, rooted, unlocked bootloader, CWM recovery, with Cyanogenmod. Well at least last time CM worked, it was version for some tablet and I wanted to flash right ROM. But via CWM recovery it failed, so I connected phone to PC, launched "Minimal ADB and FASTBOOT" and flashed boot.img ( fastboot flash boot boot.img )from CM zip. It said it worked, but when I rebooted my phone, there was just red LED diode, and no light from screen or back/home buttons at all. When I wanted to flash stock firmware via "Flashtool", it said my devide drivers arent installed, but I installed them before from "drivers" folder in Flastool folder. So I downloaded some other drivers, but it f***ed up somehow, and now my computer cant install right drivers and when I connect my phone to PC in fastbootmode? (holding volume down when connecting USB), Iam stuck at Windows installing SOMC Flash Device, and it fails in couple of minutes. I really dont know what to do now. please help...
EDIT: ok my problem with SOMC Flash Device driver is solved... I just didnt hold volume down button long enough hope this will help someone too but still I have unusable phone and I need to instal stock firmware or something else that will help

[Q] [Q&A] Staying in "LOGO SCREEN"

Now I kept the SONY logo screen and COULD NOT enter recovery mode

My PC could not detect my Z2
What should I do to enter recovery mode to flash a rom to turn it on?
Thanks
Now I am trying to flash ftf using flash tool but may I ask how can I flash it if the PC could not detect my phone (still downloading ftf file)

Here is a recovery guide
Your phone isnt being detected by your PC because it isnt turned off exactly

P768 shutting down when trying to enter recovery

So, this is my problem: I was using for months now CM13 and TWRP3.0 by EdwinMoq, but the phone suddenly started to drain battery abnormally, I read CM13 was the cause so I installed TWRP 2.7.1.1 to flash Paranoid Android 4.6 BETA. When I wiped partitions to install PA (using TWRP 2.7.1.1), somehow SD Card files were deleted (I didn't select wipe SD Card at any point so I don't know what happened). Then powered off to copy the flashable *.zip again on the SD Card and when I tried to boot recovery, LG Logo appeared but after few seconds phone shutted down (and this happens everytime).
It is a p768 with unlocked bootloader. I can use fastboot just fine, delete partitions, flash them, but I obviously can't flash a system.img via fastboot (it's too big). And I tried flashing different recovery files (TWRP, CWM) and it's exactly the same. I can boot into "S/W Upgrade Mode" too, but when I try to flash any kdz it gets stuck at 15% saying phone is not connected. I tried using another USB port and making Windows install drivers for the device again with no luck.
Drivers are installed correctly (4.0.4 version) and I see phone in the Modems, Ports and USB controllers sections of Device Manager everytime so I don't know what to do. Fastboot is the only thing that's working and I know /system is missing but I can't flash anything.
My issue is kind of like this one BUT, I can boot into S/W Upgrade.
Nevermind, after some quiet crying over the phone I found that my buttons are screwed. I wasn't pressing VolUp right, tricky button. I feel like a retard.
