Sorry for my stupidness, but I would like to know if there is a definitive way to move apps'data to your SD Card.
I am searching all over the web for about 1 week, and i was not able to find a answer!
How do I move my apps'data to SD Card on a JB Based ROM?
If I cant, what about in ICS based ROM? Do you know anyone?
Thanks, and best regards!
(PS: sorry for my horrible english)

The two main methods would be Directory bind, or ExternalSd2InternalSD
I personally use External2Internal Mod and it works flawlessly. All apps have been moved over to external SD without a single issue. All games, basically everything..
Thanks! But how do I use this?

Depends which you want to try and use lol
Search for each here on xda. Both threads have quite detailed instructions.
I'd suggest the ext2internal as I've seen less issue discussed compared to directorybind

Hi XDA:
I still have the Avatar movie on external sd card, pushed the avatar.apk file to /system/apps, and made sure the proper movie sub directory was copied from an old back up to my internal sd card under the sd card directory. Still getting ' file not found' when click Avatar icon. I can watch the movie using the video player and I'm sure this is something small that I've forgotten, and I researched other threads regarding this issue but cannot find an answer. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I'm currently running Nero v3. Cheers.

Same issue. I was never able to figure it out so I just use the video player to launch it.

If anyone can shed some light on this it would really be appreciated. I am selling one of my Vibrants as I've just purchased a Nexus S and I'm trying to get this working for them before I ship it. Thanks again

This has to do with the different ways 2.1 and 2.2 name the external sd card - 2.1 calls it "sd" or "sdcard" (can't remember...been a while since 2.1), while 2.2 calls it "external_sd." So, you need the Avatar apk that has the correct name in the movie filepath.
The attached apk's should solve your problem. If you are running a 2.2 rom, then use the one I attached named "Avatar_22." Push it to your system/app just like you were doing before.
Disclaimer: I did not make the 2.2 compatible Avatar shortcut. I had this same issue and found it somewhere on this site, but figured I'd just share the apk instead of trying to search out the original source. If this makes someone mad, let me know and I'll give the proper credit or remove it - whichever you prefer.
Awesome.. Exactly what I needed and I'll give it a whirl once I arrive home from work. Thanks.

Worked perfectly already tested it here. Thanks so much, I'll +1 to your thanks meter once I can get to my home computer. Cheers.

Use the Site search and you'll find dozens of threads on it, and search for App called Directory Bind because that's what you need if your phone's Rooted.
U have already posted this there

If you're not rooted then you're out of luck.
Well... I would not call it out of luck because technically the Move-to-SD option is no longer necessary since the apps are already stored on the internal storage and no longer in their own small /data partition.

But even so... 16.gb gets a little small for our app addiction...

I have read this topic about moving apps to SD card, only read few pages but it seems that over 4.0 firmware, Google stopped it so you can't move apps to a second partition of SD card, correct me if I'm wrong,

Hi
I'm just curious as to what methods people use to clean up their S3s? For example any folders that contain junk?
Also any tips, recommended apps etc?
Thanks in advance.

Here's what I tend to do every now and then (about once a month or so):
Clear call and messaging log, reset voice call duration (I do this at the beginning of each billing cycle).
Delete text message threads
Clear the browser cache and history
Clear cache on downloaded apps (mainly Facebook and Facebook Messenger).
Move pictures/videos from internal memory to external SD card using "My Files"
That's all I feel is really necessary and even then it's more of a "spring cleaning" thing than anything else, just to keep things organized. I don't download and uninstall a whole lot of apps or anything either, everything is pretty much set up the way I want it with the apps that I need.
i just look through a file manager for pointless files and delete them
Leave it as it is. Won't change the performance of your phone.
Thanks guys. Not really looking for performance improvements. Mainly general housekeeping and space saving. Obviously not to much of a problem now but was concerned about long term build up.

You have 2 options. Use the note2 sdcard swap or install beans rom where you can choose sdswap at default. This puts all your apps on sdcard including google music if I am not mistaken.:good:
