Anyone know if the battery will work properly? Let me explain...
I only have an extended battery, but I'm kind of annoyed by the bulky backing. So I have two OEM thunderbolt batteries and the Rez stock back cover.
I can put the battery in no problem and even turn the phone on, runs fine.
Only issue is battery won't display percentage and I'm not sure if it's charging properly.
Is it even compatible? If so is this a simple wipe battery stats fix (which I didn't try)
Thanks

A lot of people have said the thunderbolt battery works.
I am sure it is fine if the voltage and ma rating is the same.
Thanks. I'll try wiping stats to see if it'll display properly.

Just posting to get opinions on after market batteries. I have owned the Atrix 4G since the day it came out with no complaints whatsoever. The battery life seems to be comparable to my old iPhone 3g (which i hated) but because the Atrix is so much better I obviously have it opened and am using it a lot more.
-Is it worth it to buy the optional extended batteries?
-Are they bigger that OEM batteries?
-How much longer is the battery life?
-If so, I assume my current Otter Box would not fit?
Thank you for the help.

The largest is a Seidio (which I dont think is out) it's only a 2200 MAH, compared to our 1900 (ish) MAH. I got a new replacement from moto because my battery life wasn't lasting as long as it was when i first bought it. Turned out I actually had the wrong battery mode on and it was using up too much power.
I have the 3600 mah, and while its big and you can't use a phone, it makes it easier to hold the phone imo, and lasts all day easily.

Userid moretalktime on eBay sells custom TPU cases the atrix with the extended battery installed.

My review with heavy usage says you'll last forever. Now I squeeze a day and a half with stock battery. That battery pushes me several.

do you have a prob where the % do not reflect the actual battery usage? my battery can show 30% but after a reboot it will show 100%. I can do a reboot twice before it shows the actual %
I can confirm CEOGUY's report on the Seidio3200. It is indeed a beast.
I too experienced the battery calibration problem. I am now using the latest Battery Monitor Widget. Something was fixed in a recent update that allows the calibration to work correctly.

Does the battery req a special charger? Or just charging direct from the phone will be sufficient
No special charger, I use the OEM one.

I just recently bought an extended battery for my fassy. As some of us know erasing battery stats in cwm "helps battery life". In reality its showing more accurate battery stats so that it doesnt drop several percent rapidly to compensate. My question is: does it really work like that and will switching between the stock 1500mah and extended battery 2400mah distort the battery reading? Or cause any other problems for that matter....m

I have the naztech 2400 battery. I have wiped my stats after a full charge. Doesn't seen to hurt anything. Mine. Appears to report correctly.

So I was overclocking my Atrix 4g and benching it using Faux123's 1.45 Ghz kernel. CF Bench caused it to overheat and restart every time so I did the stupid task of putting it in the freezer (Yes the thing on top of a Refrigerator). And I didn't just put it in the freezer I put it near the part where the fan blows in the cold air. Apparently that wasn't a good idea since my phone suddenly Jumped from 60% battery to 19%. Basically loosing 40% of its charge. Followed by a FC and Reboot.
That night I wen't to sleep and plugged it into an AC charger, it was charging for about 12+ hours. And now my phone won't charge over 60% (Kind of makes sense with the 40% battery loss) and wont go past 1109 mAh ( it's a 1930 mAh battery).
My question is: Have I ****ed up 40% of my battery forever or this something that can be fixed. Note: I have already tried wiping the battery stats.
Try to take out your battery and plug your phone into a wall charger, after that place your battery back into your phone and let it charge

Should I wait until it has drained or not?
Shouldn't make a difference

If that doesn't work, try recalibrating the battery...

Like title says, lately, my phone is charging notably slower. Even on my wall charger. I plugged in last night around 12 and at 7am it was only at 95%. I tried two other wall chargers with the same results. I'm running the latest ViperRez Rom, no mods, used battery calibration as always. I tried wiping cache/dalvik, and battery stats. Any other suggestions?

I noticed the same thing but with my car charger. Was running nils ics rom with sense 3.6 and battery was great. Then reflashed the same rom and started getting worse. I can usually drive with gps, 4g and talk on the phone and charger still charged. But now lately I've started getting messages on my phone saying that it's not charging enough and that I'm drawing more than able to charge. Haven't changed any of my habits and all hardware is still the same. Not really sure what's going on

might just be a bad battery. if you go to you nearest VZW store and tell them your phone is charging slow and you want to try a new battery, they will exchange the battery right there.
