S3 screen goes black and false phone is off message , etc - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As default setting , phone gets locked if u r talking too long, e.g. on viber. Now after ending the call, when I try to unlock the phone with face unlock, the screen goes black.
Also screen randomly goes black.
Sometimes it says service is unavailable on viber.
Also if I call from my other phone on s3, I receive the message that phone is off when its actually on.
All these problems gets solved after reboot.
Any suggestions ?

[Q] SG2 reverts to lock screen mode after unsuccessful call

I'm currently on Resurrection 2.1 ROM with the Siyah kernal 3.2.7.2+ on Samsung Galaxy S2 and am experiencing the following:
When I have made an unsuccessful call e.g. engaged, I keep getting directed to the lock screen immediately after. If I want to retry the call, I have to input my unlock code to access the dial pad again. This becomes very annoying especially if you want to try and retry the call 2-3 times.
I'm not sure if this is a problem or natural behaviour of the phone, but I would be grateful if someone can explain if this is a fault in the software or otherwise.
Thanks
Ben

[Q] hi im having problems with my galaxy s2.

since 2 days ago my fone started acting wierd, when i try typing a new messege i press on the keypad but the letters and numbers dont appear on the screen, my fone vibrates as i text but nothing comes up, it takes it 5-10+ minutes till i can finialy type a single text before it does that again. the same thing aplies to making fone calls, i swipe the screen to make the call, or try putting in the numbers thru the keypad, but nothing comes up, it takes a while for the fone to eventualy make that call if ever, the time on my fone stays falling behind by 10-30minutes, i downloaded a safe feature for my fone thats an antivirus, supposedly to be good, my firends use it, every time i run a scan nothing appears,i tun it off and wait a bit to turn it back on, only then does it not mess up for about 3 minutes then it messes up again. my sister told me she had a similar issue, and she was told to take off the battery for a bit of time and then put it back on, i do that but its the same as turning it off and back on, samme effect, can some one tell me what to do please, if anything at all, thanks to any one who replys back with any help. -Alex.

Restart Phone?
Factory reset?
Maybe, change ROMs
I'm not sure exactly what's the issue, but you could try the above said methods to see whether its a software issue, and if the problem stays the same, maybe its an hardware issue, and you maybe required to contact the Samsung Service Center.

[Q] Blocked incoming call screen

Straight to the problem: sometimes (and in a very unpredictable manner), when i have an incoming call, plenty of problems show their ugly face. First of all, i sometimes can't accept, or decline an incoming call, because the screen isn't responding to input. Sometimes i can go around this by pressing the on/off button twice, and that would enable the screen. But, sometimes even that doesn't work. The phone just keeps ringing until the caller eventually gives up. When that happens, the phone continues to function normally.
Another problem is constant vibrations i noticed in several occasions. Instead of vibrating in "pulses" or "waves", the phone just keeps vibrating constantly, which can be very annoying in combination with the problem mentioned in the first paragraph.
At first i though it's a bug in my ROM (CM9 port for legend), but have heard people experiencing the problem on other stock devices (Galaxy SII on stock ICS, for example). So it is not that rare, but to this day i haven't been able to find a solution.
Did anyone manage to solve this problem, or find any information as to how this can be avoided?

I have the same problem with my phone. Any solution for this problem thx
Reflash, reflash, and if it happens again - reflash. The screen lock/unlock workaround was working about 90% of the time. I gave the phone to my father (clean new flash) and he didn't experience any issues with the rom so far.

u/Suman03242
Hello there! After flashing the new lineage ROM version in my samsung note 3 (3g) everything goes fine except the phone dialler. I have tried almost everything. Using alternate dialler app to replacing dialler.apk from system but unfortunately nothing is working. The first problem is that when my phone screen is off and I am receiving a call, it still keeps off the display and when I turn it on, the screen starts blinking until the call got hang up. When I try to call someone the screen starts blinking again. I don't even have an option to cut the phone until it being cut automatically. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
