i have a 16gb sd card in and am running MeanRom 6.0, the problem i ham having is whenever i go into apps and try to move to sd, there is no option on doing so.
You can use titanium backup or android assistant.
Maybe the app you trying to move is not app2sd compatible try moving a different app like Netflix or Pandora. See if its work

If you use Titanium backup theirs two different places you can put your app in and that's internal memory and SD card. I believe what he's trying to ask is, can he put the app in the Ext SD card.
Theirs three memory places are phone has, Internal, SD card or Ext card. TBU only shows internal or SD card to save them in, not Ext SD card.

There is no option for it in the phone and I would use Titanium Backup if not for the fact that the phone reads the SDCard as SDCard-EXT and the internal memory as SDCard, so it would just move it to internal memory like in the settings menu. Any ideas? Gameloft SD card downloads have already filled my 4 gigs. As-is, my 32gb card is useless right now.

Yes, that give me a lot of headache because I am a gamer... I have been used Moto phones Atrix, Photon and now Razr... All phone don't have this option...Cm7 got the option to change default SD Card. Some people says this is default setting of Android OS. But manufacturers should have provided this option in their phones since they included internal & external SD. Some games SD data are nearly 1GB in these day...How?

Check out the Droid x2 forum. Dev named navenedrob made.a flashable mod to flip-flop the storage designation. Maybe it could be ported?

Titanium Backup. You can batch move apps or do them individually, just be careful what you move. Widgets won't work when you move them to the SD card.

Look for a2sd, much better. Basically you just make your internal storage bigger with help of the sd card. But android thinks your internal storage is bigger.
Link2sd, if you're up to partitioning your sd card. Free on the market.

There a quite a few Apps in the Market that do this. But another option is to run your Rom throught the Android Kitchen, and make it A2SD capable. That way you can enable it with either ADB, or Android Terminal. Then everytime you load an App, it goes to your SD Card automatically.

Hey, I have eclipse installed and in doing so it automatically switched my sd card location. Internal is now external, and external is now internal. under settings I have selected install apps to internal sd card, which now means they are installing to my external card correct? Also when I got into settings to manage applications it shows hardly anything installed to the external card but that's because its.flipped right? Im just a little confused cuz if I ever want to sbf again I want to make sure they are installed to the real external card so I don't lose anything. So theoretically I should not use the option under settings to "move app to external card" because I would be moving it to the internal? Is there any other way to see if they are installed on my real external card? For example plugging in to a computer via usb and being able to see what's there?
Thanks in advance for any help.
one way to check is power off, remove sd card, reboot
if app still works its not on sd card

Before I rooted and installed the Eclipse ROM I would download my favorite podcast to internal memory and listen to it. Now when I attempt to download it tells me there is no SD card! Is there a setting to make it download to internal memory and not to an SD card?

Anyone?
I know sometimes when running a custom rom the sdcard location çhanges. Like if youre running cmX its sdcard 0/1 or emmc/sdcard... check your download location. I had something similar happen but I had to upgrade my sdcard because I had an off brand 8gig class4 that would read only sometimes. Hope that helps a bit.

eclipse has sd card flip flop. so your external is labeled as internal. and internal external.
those apps actually not on my sd card, they are on my internal. what should i do to remove those 0.00b app things from sd card list?
just format your sdcard
i did, nothing changed.
That means the apps are using 0.00Byte on your sd card. If an app is checked on the checkbox, it means it's on sd card and vice versa. Nothing to worry about.
Try moving one app to sd card, you will understand the 0.00B thing
