I want to get an extended battery for my Atrix since the original 1880mah dies within the day, and drops percentages during reboots, which can be calibrated, I believe.
But my question is those 2500mah or even 2800mah batteries, the ones that come with the thicker battery covers, really thick?
Does anybody have any of these mind uploading a photo of your phone, and how much does it extended, is it worth it?
If I were to get an extended thicker battery, would I be able to buy a case for the phone then?

Secondly if its extended, count on the back being bigger. Most cases wont work. Silicon cases might, depends on how thick the back is.

See I had you wishing there was one .....
I was thinking why doesn't somone offer a slightly oversized battery for our phones or any phone for that matter. ... I mean you could make it fit with allot thinner back cover and I bet convince just about everyone to convert to an extended battery ...
Instead of doubleing the capacity just add another 800-1000mah that plenty for the average- heavy user to get allot more enjoyable battery life and not have a huge bulky phone.

I agree. Though it seems like I have seen that mah advertised before, but I could be completely wrong. I know that I would purchase it if the extended battery door was in between the stock size and the fat Seidio door. I had the Ebay 3500mah battery and door for my Evo 4G, but rarely ever used it after a couple weeks. For that reason I decided to pass on an extended battery for the 3 D. Personally I'd rather have the ability to use any case I want and carry an extra battery instead having a fat phone with few to none case options. That said, if the bulk was minimal for a reasonably longer battery life then I would probably give it a try.

I felt the same way, but have a simple solution- ebay! There are slightly extended batteries available, but they work about the same as the stock battery. Just throw the extra battery in your pocket. Still thinner than an extended battery and door, easy to change, and lasts much longer.
I see it the opposite way. If you are going to bastardize the look of your phone by putting a big wart on the back, might as well really extend it and put a 3500 mAh battery in there. That way if it's going to look like Quasimoto and not even sit on a desk properly any more, might as well last forever. For me, if it requires a new back cover, no thanks.

hi, i'm looking for extended batteries that come with replacement back cover for motorola photon
can anybody give me input ?
on how the battery perform
and how good the quality of the replacement back cover ?
actually i'm leaning towards seidio because i've used them in may blackberries and they are good.
and also the other option that i found is
either the cheapo ebay stuff (where i'm afraid about the quality of the battery and the quality of the back cover
and also the Mugen power battery (i found the price is too steep for and extended battery)
so please advice
thank you.
I've been using a TREXCELL 3500 battery from AMAZON.Pricing is in the $20-$25 range & this is definitely a solid choice over SEIDIO.
I get a solid 10 hrs of moderate to heavy use & 14-16 hrs. of light to moderate use w/o re-charging.

No problems with them yet.
Can anyone give a link to a decent external battery charger?

I got 50 Hours with light use on my TREXCELL 3500 mAh =D Favorite battery!
hows the quality of the back cover on trexcell ?
do they feel flimsy ?
I've got both a TREXCELL & INCREDICELL(don't recommend the INCREDICELL).
The battery covers are equal, if not exactly the same.
Care does need to be taken when removing the cover, especially around the kickstand area, as that is the weakest point on the cover due to the contours that are present to accommodate the extended battery thickness.
Not a big deal, or, deal breaker. You can get replacement covers by simply buying an el cheapo extended battery for a few $ on e-Bay, AMAZON, etc.......
SEIDIO will sell the extended battery cover by itself, for $14..95.
You simply just have to call & ask for it, unless SEIDIO has begun listing them on their website.
Anyone ever try the Droid Bionic battery on the Photon? I am thinking about getting it.

hi thanks
this is what i really want
a hyperion battery and a seidio back cover
do they fit ?
why hyperion, cause i've heard good reviews of it on this forum and the seidio battery doesn't get good reviews
and also my friends buy the hyperion battery with the replacement back cover, but thte cover is very bad, he broke the clips within 2 weeks, so i supposed that the seidio back case is supposedly better.
the only question for me now is , are they compatible ?
i mean will the seidio back cover accommodate the hyperion extended battery ?
I'm pretty sure the Galaxy SIII will have decent battery life and when ROMs and kernels come around it'll be even better. The S3 having a 2100mah battery, do you guys think it's possible for 3rd parties accessories maker to do like a 2500 Mah battery like the note? Or will it be too big and add bulk to the phone with an bigger back cover?
There will definitely be extended batteries, but any that add significantly to the capacity will have their own rear casing and add some bulk. Mugen often make batteries the same size as the originals with a slight edge in capacity, but I doubt they'd get it to 2500mA.
Im sure there will at some point be extended batteries available in much higher capacities with their own back covers. This might actually be beneficial for those worried about getting scratched camera lenses.

Nfc antenna is in the battery so Kepler that in mind when looking for a replacement
Extended batteries on eBay
I found some extended batteries for sale on eBay. All of them seem to ship from China. Some are 2300 and 2500 mAh and appear that they fit using the standard back cover. Other larger batteries come with a new back cover making the phone thicker. The downside of both options is that none of the extended batteries seem to include NFC support. It's a shame that the phone's NFC feature was built into the battery.
Extended Battery and Cover
I think what you are looking for is the power case from droidax. They have a new one that fits the GS3 and has 2300 mAh battery inside. That doubles the battery capacity.

Waiting on the full line from Seidio myself. They said they are working on an extended battery but currently have no ETA. I usually buy the whole suite; Comes with a battery, back cover, 3 layers of casing and a holster. My opinion is that practicality is more important than how thin and light the phone is. My EVO 4g lasted a week with Seidio's extended battery. Hope to get the same with the SGS3.
I see this time and time again, but also I guess this is why there is a market for fake batteries.
Think of a battery as a fuel tank, you want to run the motor for longer? you need a bigger tank. Any battery that claims to have a larger capacity yet maintain the same physical size is either utilising battery technology no one else knows about or its too good to be true.

You can get a 2300mAh battery that gives like 10% extra capacity or a huge 4600mAh battery (2.2 times more capacity). Second one comes with back door because of bulk and adds like 11mm to the phone.
Found this video for the above mentioned battery.
hey all,
Im thinking about getting an extended battery for my note, probably a 5200mah. I was wondering if anyone has tried this before or if anyone thinks it would work. There is a tpu case thats meant to cover phones with extended batteries. Ad says n7000 but ive seen another ad that lists the n7000 and i717 as being compatible.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/S021-NEW-TPU...hone_PDA_Cases&var&hash=item27ce2a9ae0&_uhb=1
what do ya think?
Hi, I bought both the tpu case($5) and the 5200mha extended battery with back cover($10) from eBay and am pretty satisfied. The case fits real well around this extended back cover, not being the best case only because I would prefer something more rugged, however it has a hole for charms. The extended battery is pretty good so far as well. I am a really heavy user, and this 5200mha battery lasts me for a while, definitely time and half of the original 2600mha battery. I read forums using my phone and am constantly flashing roms or playing/downloading new apps. In my personal opinion I think this battery and case are worth the $15.
triavq,
So how do you like the battery and case? I know it's been many months, but I am curious?
I have the same one ordered (in Black) but not received yet..long way from china to here!
I going to try and squeeze that case around a 7000mAh battery and back cover. I don't like the squared off back cover that comes with some of those extended batteries.
I am hoping the 7000mAh battery isn't much thicker than the 5200mAh ones.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

3600 mAh that fits the original back cover

Your links not working for me, and even if it did I highly doubt its any better if not worse than the stock battery. There's also another thread about a 4500mah battery here too.

EBay sellers lie about battery capacity. It's like a law of nature.
The fact is, Samsung and the other big names use top quality battery cells. As there haven't been leaps in the technology since the N3 was released, anyone claiming more power in the same space is full of it. If you want more capacity, you need to let your phone get thicker. If you're willing to do that, the ZeroLemon is in stock with an Otterbox style case. Their Note2 battery is top quality, and gets the capacity they claim. Same with some of the others I've heard about people testing. I see no reason the N3 version wouldn't, and just ordered one myself. The phone ends up about 2x thicker, but with 3x the battery life and a nice case to go with it.
Extended battery will make your cell phone way too heavy. Since Samsung is heavy enough, I guess you won't mind.
