I have a HTC Flyer and I use a lot the HTC Notes app. I synchronize my handwriting notes to Evernote and it works perfectly. I tried using the Sansung SNote app that came in my Galaxy Note and I prefer the HTC Notes.
Is there any way to install the HTC Note in my Galaxy Note?
I downloaded an apk for the HTC Note and it didn't instal.
Please help.
It would need to be ported. What rom are you using?
I got my Note 3 or 4 months ago and haven't changed the rom yet. It's completely stock.
You can try to side load it, it may mess up your phone so do a backup.
Edit, never mind. Your stock.

Wouldn't you need the Sense 4 framework to use HTC Notes properly? I feel like it'd be similar to needing TouchWiz framework to use the S-Note app, but I could be wrong.

Yes, the brand new Market apk that I found on the general apps and games forums is working
It's quite nice I must say (lolWP7ui)
Just install as a normal app.
Make a backup of the original first via Titanium backup just in case!
It is a bit laggy at times though :/
I downloaded the new market this morning from the Samsung Galaxy S2 (I move to that phone in August.) forum and it works good. Like you say, a little laggy, but looks so much better.
I like this.

I usually choose speed over polished GUI. Not this time though.
yes works well looks very nice
I'm probably gonna switch back to the old one...
It's way to laggy q_q
Agreed, looks nice but to laggy on my wildfire however on my Galaxy tab it is fine so good work google! I do like the flicking to switch between different categories similar to the google+ app
Market Looks Gr8...
It looks very nice, and it works fine.
Thanks!
Old (2.3.6) Market for those of you who want to downgrade and didn't make a backup.
(extracted from Ruymanca v7.2 system/app)
I don't seem to have any lag (compared with a Nexus S) unless the images are still loading.
Well yes, that's true, but I still prefer speed over eye candy :/
Link is offline. Can anyone upload it on xda?

Thank you for that, uploaded as attachment.
@nejc121
Is your version comes from WF (Sense - auto update) or just copied from another source and you did not know at what resolution is? I installed from the other site and works terrible, maybe if we have apk from automatic updates it will work better?
It came from another source.
And I don't think the WF will ever get this market....
It would lag too much.
It is far to laggy and fc every time. I used it. Links good when it worked so went back to old one thanks for the uploaded

Not necessary. Even backup of old one is not necessary.
You can just uninstall the updates for market to get back to the original one anytime.
[Thinking everyone will be flashing the newer market as installing from apk file, and not added to the customrom.zip and flashed].

Seriously, why is everyone saying this is laggy? Once the images have loaded maybe 4 seconds at the most the market is smooth. Are you not overclocked? I would like to see the effects with JIT enabled too, however I am using a sense based ROM (wilpuzzle).
Don't seem to have any lag loving the new market

Well I like it! It`s better than the old one. Not as laggy as you said.
I know that the Galaxy S3 comes with the Polaris Office Viewer application and it also says you can download the full version in the "more services" app bundled by Samsung. However when I try to download, the file doesn't exist and not even for sale. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? I really need to work on office documents and I really liked using Polaris on the S2 when it came preinstalled with the full version. Help appreciated!

Drag the backup files from your SGS2 Titanium backup into your current and restore or instal apk from sgs ROM.
I would like to post mine for you, but might be viewed as Warez by XDA

I did that already but the app launches with a population saying unsupported device.

Yup, Polaris Office v4.0 is missing, no way to even buy for it now.
Also no need try S2 or note Polaris Office v3.+, it just won't work but give not support in our device warning only.
Have to use quickoffice until I find a working version. Polaris was much smoother.

Hoping for it to appear soon in samsung apps
Disappointing
I can't believe Samsung. After all the superb devices they have brought to us in the last year or two, we are expected to accept that Polaris Office, a core application (and an essential one for me) in every other device, is missing from their flagship device when we 'upgrade'. Hasn't come cheap either. Sadly, my wife's HTC One X - available weeks earlier - has it no problem. Didn't tell us that before we spent a tidy sum of money, did they? Back to my Note.
When I tried to open a technical manual that i've been using since the I9000 days, Polaris said it ran out of memory...not sure if that is anything to do with it not being the full version. Downloaded the Acrobat pdf viewer and it handles it so easily!!
I had no problem downloading Polaris office 4, works fine through Samsung Apps or I miss something here

Do you have brand new GalaxyS3? Now, you can download full version Polaris office for Galaxy S3. Please have a look, if you don’t know how to download Polaris Office on your Galaxy S3.

The same here, I've successfully installed Polaris Office 4.0 from Samsung Apps
The problem
The problem is that there is a 4.0 version which does not work with Jelly Bean. It only works with ICS:good:
I wonder how do you add a file/folder as a favourite?
Try downloading this exact updated copy

Are you still not able to GET this full version file? Try installing the one on my link below. I got it from my S3 and it is the one I got from Samsung Apps. This should work on any S3 only.

I current use a Galaxy Nexus with 4.2.1 and was wondering how downloaded apps might look on an One X+ with Sense on it. Meaning would the menu UI of the downloaded Google GMail app or the like, would look different on a One X+ when compared to my Nexus. I played around with a One X+ at an AT&T store and was really surprised how different the OS was compared to stock, but was not sure if downloaded apps would be effected by Sense UI or not.

If looking for same functionality, yes, apps do same - look same, only ui or framework is different
I was flicking through roms and after testing ultimarom, i gained a liking for the note 2 keyboard. However i prefer my modifed stock rom at present.
Now i have downloaded the note 2 keyboard, how would i go about modifying it to work with my phone. At present if i install it, it constantly force closes, i tried a few modifications from forum posts but still can't get it to work fully.
I have already tried ripping the one from ultima but it fails again.
I have some coding experience, i have made a few pretty basic apps, but this is confusing me now.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
(p.s i did a search but didnt find anything in the Q+A section)
Here is the Note II keyboard for I9300: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2120054
Get the liking too, included in Chaos Rom in case of you wanna try a new Rom.

Any Ideas?

If you're using an odexed rom, delete the .odex file.

Bang on! That worked Perfectly, Thanks Mate!
I came to relies on the S-Note for taking quick notes in my Note device. S-Notes have the ability to backup the notes to Samsung Cloud server.
However, I also have a Nexus 7 and even though it doesn't have a stylus, I want to have the ability to read the notes I took with my Note device.
Thus, is it possible to extract the S-Notes apk and run it in the Nexus 7?

I HIGHLY doubt it. S-Notes runs on touchwiz and nexus doesn't. So you won't be able to run S-Notes, but you might be able to read them with a different app.
You can export the your notes to jpg or pdf file I believe.

Thanks for the info, guys.
If you (or anyone) uses the note taking feature of the phone, what app do you recommend that are device-independent? Papyrus?

Check out "Gnote". It uses a Gmail account to sync between devices and will work on your nexus.

but then how could hyperdrive rom on s3 run xperia, sense and Samsung apps
Personally I like Google keep it syncs across all my devices you can do notes with it or a checklist style type of note. Think evernote simplified.
