Ok guys i have a problem with my xperia ray, before couple of days it just stopped working...When i try to turn it on i just get vibrate and nothing else...So i put it aside and after couple of days i tried to turn it on and i got that red light that battery is empty,so i pulled off batery and connect it to charger then i pressed power button and put in battery again and after couple times of doing that phone sucessfully started...So i turned it off again to put my sim card in and then when i wanted to power it up again it just vibrates and nothing,so i pulled off batery and re-inserted couple of times and tried to turn it on and after 5-6 times it turned on again...It worked for two or three hours and than it turned off again by it self and when i try to turn it on i just get vibrate again and nothing else??? I tried to connect it to pc via flash mode and fastboot mode and i get green light for flash mode and blue for fastboot but both of my pc's says that the device is malfunctioned and that it can't be recognised??? I tried to use SEUS but it doesen't detect when i connect phone in flash mode, neither does flashtool and when i click indentify in s1tool i get this message:

X10 Xperia,E10 Xperia Mini,E15 Xperia X8,U20 Xperia Mini Pro

Do nothing if it's still under warranty. If bootloader is locked and you never rooted and it's on stock rom, bring it to service. Looks like a hardware related problem, better don't try to fix it yourself by flashing something. Take/send it to service center :good:

I've got a Xperia x10 mini, I was trying to unlock it (no success, as you can see). Now I'm capable of doing nothing, my xperia just shows a black screen with the sony ericcson logo on it, can't be switched off (even pressing power button and the button in the middle, it just reboot and come back to the logo) when I try to plug it into my laptop by the normal way (meaning that I remove the cable and put again pressing the button with an arrow), in order to reinstall the ROM, my laptop doesn't get it, the only thing I can get right now is that lousy black screen and I don't know what to do.
Any help out there?
Try Bin4ry flashtool
Sent from my E10i using XDA App
I'm trying but it just say:
Searching for Xperia
Maybe is my ROM version, do you know any tested one?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825664
and you have [HOWTO] if you're unsecure.
Try it with SEUS on another Computer (no Windows XP)
This works for me....
SEUS or Flasher.. same thing, same result
hey, all you need to do is the following:
1- go through the steps of SEUS till you reach the step which tells you to connect your phone to the computer.
2- connect your phone to the computer (even it is still showing just the SE logo.
3- press now (after connecting to computer) the "back buttom" + "mid buttom" + "the power buttom" all togother, then as your phone turn off remove your fingers from the buttoms except the "back buttom"
here the computer will recognise your phone.
4- continue through the rest of the steps
i hope this will help
When you get to the:
"Searching for Xperia..."
Turn off your phone, hold back key (<-) and connect it with PC via USB cable while holding back key. Green light should flash on your notification led.
Just to let you know, dont panic or get fustrated, x10mini cant be that easily bricked, i got same issue like you countless of times (cause im editing/developing custom mod for mine) and Flashing with Bin4ry always bring it back to life. OMG! xMini Zombie!!
Yes I bricked my xperia x10 mini! The only thing I could see was the Sony ericsson logo. I don't know how but I did it The following method worked with my xperia x10 mini but I don't know if it will work wit x8 or x10 mini pro...You can try it.
Before you plug your x10 mini to your pc hold the home button and the power button. When your phone is closed slide your finger and press the back button so your phone won't open till you release the back button. Then plug your phone to your pc and when Pc Companion opens go to the update manager and start the update procces. When it asks you to unplug your phone just do it, wait 5 seconds and then pres the menu button, the home button and the back button(all together) and plug your phone to your pc. Wait the green bar to load(make sure you are online) and it's done!

I just connected my bricked mini pro to compute holding back button nd then flashed it with SEUS???
This worked for me
I just followed the instructions, and voila!
Thank you so much!
doesn´t work for me. All I can see is that Sony Ericsson logo. All I can do is restart phone but it won´t start properly. like frozen PC system before boot.
Before this my cell couldn´t find USB. I couldn´t connect. USB cable is fine - tested. PC is fine-works with other cell phones. I guess I´m done with my x10 mini. game´s over.
I´ve managed (after two days fight) to run my device again!!! USB is not working. I could only hope my x recovery will boot. Combo buttons werent working so I tried everything and the last step worked.
power button + left + middle + right one - restart
after the vibration put usb in it and insert SD card while holding right button
let it work about 10secs
release right button and my phone booted into x recovery!!! f..k im glad i have my phone back, uuuuuuuuuuuf
It worked for me!
Thank's!
Thanks. Replace for SEUS
Nice! Thank's !
I was looking for that adwise!!!!!!!!!!!
Helps for me!!!! THX

Once in a past I rooted this Xperia. Then I gave it to my friend. Now Xperia Mini is dead. When I connect it to PC green led is on, but when it's connected to charger no led is on. I can set Mini to flashmode but it could not be set to fastboot mode. So I can flash it (for example ST15i_4.0.2.A.0.42_(1249-6227).ftf rom) , but no result. It is still dead.
Is there any way to repair it?
Download sony ericsson update service file.
after installation done, connect your phone to pc while pressing volume up key
the led should light blue.
than update.
this way your phone will be reset to factory setting.
Hope this help you.
I already try this procedure, but blue led can not light up. So fastboot mode can not be set.
Hello!
I had the same problem to flash my Xperia mini. After using the FlashTool and put a new rom to restart the phone he was on a black screen and said nothing. I tried a few more flash 3 times and nothing.
Only after I decided to block the bootloader again following the tutorial below on the reference and re-lock:

Try to connect ur phone without battery, same as when we will unlock with test point method. Just to make sure that ur phone not dead
I think sony phone or maybe all phone wont connect in flash mode when it has no battery. I always have this issue on my K810. But on K810 there is a combination button that will make my phone force turn on.

How to unBrick Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray
When you already do unlock bootloader and Flashing Official Stock Firmware a notification from update center will come to you and
says that a new firmware update is ready. Just ignore it.
BUT if you already confirm to update, well, probably your sony ericsson xperia ray will have a long sleep. And this what you can do to save the SE.
Preparation
-----------
Flashtool application
Xperia 2011 Range_FreeXperia_ALL.ftf File (file attached below)
unbrick sony ericsson xperia ray
--------------------------------
plug your microUSB cable date to X-Ray (not to PC, not yet).
Put Xperia 2011 Range_FreeXperia_ALL.ftf file to folder firmwares (you can find this folder in FlashTool).
Run X10FlashTool.exe
Click “Flash” button and then choose Xperia 2011 Range_FreeXperia_ALL.ftf file.
Wait for FlashTool command, press and hold volume[-].
When command from FlashTool appear, connect the USB cable to PC (remember! in condition volume[-] is press and hold).
A green light at home button will turn on when FlashToll detect the sony ericsson Xperia Ray. now you can release the volume button.
Sit back and wait until the process is done
When all process is complete, try to turn on your sony ericsson Xperia Ray. It should be fine now.
It worked for me!

When I turn on my Xperia Mini, I first see the sony logo and then I see the xperia logo and then the screen turns off. The phone automatically starts again with the sony logo, xperia logo and so on.
I have tried starting the phone in safe mode by holding down the volume key or by repeatedly pressing the menu button but both of them do not work. I have also tried to "repair" the phone via the PC Companion but it detects the phone only momentarily(as it switches on).
This problem started soon after I had switched on the bluetooth radio on my phone.
My phone is running on Android 4.0.4
This problem did occur in the past but I was able to open the safe mode then and a factory reset solved the problem at that time.No such luck now.
How can I hard reset the phone without reaching the menu??
Or is there any other way to solve this problem??
Please help.

Have you tried to install a custom rom or have you got any idea why this is happening?
Do you know how to flash with flashtool? If not look in my signature there is a rooting guide. In the rooting guide on how to root gingerbread 4.0.2.A.0.62/69 you can see how to flash with flashtool and after that, if you want, root it.
If your phone wasn't rooted and your bootloader is locked and you haven't installed any app which could cause this problem, bring phone to service, but only if this could be hardware related and you haven't modified anything
Oh my science! You've been here since 2009 and this is your first post!?!?
Don't worry Your kernel is clean the problem is with the Rom.
Just flash the stock firmware ftf for your phone using flashtool and it'll be brand new again!
This will be useful
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792
There are numerous tutorials about flashing ftf through flashtool just google it (the above link will be also useful).

I have experienced the same problem with my Xperia mini pro (SK17i). Just try to switch off Bluetooth before it restart. May be it will work on your device too.
Is it possible that bluetooth problem is an issue on android 4.0 ICS?

I too faced the same problem in my ST15i....Bluetooth works fine for a few times and after that suddenly it creates bootloop. When for the first time i went to the service center he told me that the ICS release is having a bug and it is not completely compatible.
I have also tried many custom roms with my bootloader locked. But the problem is same.
I feel that the problem is with the stock kernel and stock ICS rom compatibility.
Devs, please look into this and please develop a perfect solution. :good::fingers-crossed:
phone not starting up
i also have this rebooting problem b4 that time i just unlocked my bootloader by test point method the mobile functioned properly
but again the same problem exists this time i tried relocking bootloader by test point method and tried to flash it.Also i tried using s1 tools also after that my mobile is not even switching on 1 vibration is coming and no other further action

I also had Xperia Mini which gave me blue tooth problem.
1) Take out ur phone battery & connect ur phone with charger & switch the phone on.
2) Leave ur phone for about 10 mins and then while restarting put ur battery in the phone.
3)Take out the charger while restarting & ur startup will be more longer.
4) Then quickly go to setting &switch off the blue tooth.
5) Ur phone will restart again but this time ur phone will be working.
NOTE
In this process take out ur Sim Card & SD Card fron ur phone.
