I asked negrielectronics if the Lumia 920 they have in pre-order are unbranded but I did not get any answer.

Any reason why these unlocked phones are fetching a $200 - $350 premium over AT&T no-contract unlock price at 3rd party sites? Could we expect price to drop once AT&T starts to sell?

Probably because AT&T off contract does not mean unlocked.

I think because the non-commitment $449 at-t price still *requires* you to sign up for a data plan and it won't be unlocked. Look at the fine print on their website when you select the device.
Absolutely crazy pricing. Seriously. Totally worth the wait. Well, not really, but the whole package is! AND with a charging pad!

That's amazing, with a charging pad too! What a keeper.
Quick question from someone coming from a rooted custom ROM android user (using Launcher 7 - WP7 interface lookalike - for my last 2 phones, Skyrocket and GNote). How is the tethering situation with those (light use <3GB, unlimited contract) Windows Phones?
I want that low light camera features.
Not worth it to me if it's locked and not a Penta even at those prices. I'll wait.

pentaband all the frequencies avaliable would work on any gsm network in the world you need a developer version they on ebay few ones only black tho 800+
All ordered! Black Nokia Lumia 920 ($99) with Black wireless charging plate (free). Additional $25 off total order as well. All set to go.
Just ordered two. My wife was eligible for an upgrade: $99 for the cyan Lumia 920 and a free black charging plate. My line wasn't eligible for an upgrade, but the price was only $449 for the no-commitment pricing if you do it with the online special! Went ahead and paid $49 for my own charging plate. That's definitely cheaper than the $599 Best Buy is charging. According to the information page, they should arrive Friday, Nov 9th via FedEx 2nd day, so let's hope AT&T stays on schedule. I'll have a new toy to play with all weekend.
$449 is not bad. I'd buy one if it had AWS 1700 and if there were a way to unlock it other than begging AT&T and waiting forever. Anybody know about those?
to those that got the charging plate, did you have to add it to your cart or something or is it just included? i can't find it on the site, but i've already ordered my white 920...
I've been reading comments on other sites about not seeing the charging plate. I tried finding it by completing a mock order on the regular AT&T site and the Premier AT&T site and it seems the charging plate is no longer listed as an option. Plus, you can't even find it to order it separately. Not sure what's going on with this. The free charging plate was for the black only. They had all Lumia colors (cyan, red, white, yellow, and black) listed for $49 for the charging plate and $69 for the charging stand (black only).
C'mon AT&T, you need to keep your customers up to date on what's going on. Furthermore, my order went through, then it said it was cancelled. I just got off the phone with them, and they said I have to bring two forms of ID to my nearest AT&T store to confirm the order. WTF is up with that? I NEVER had to do that before, and I've ordered phones for my account in the past with no problems both discounted and full price.
Hi,
So I saw that Walmart has Nokia 920 for $49.99. That's a pretty good deal - however, they do not include wireless plate.
Anybody know about the nokiafreecharger(.com) site and whether they will allow free chargers for deals like this?

On that site, maybe, but everyone buying them at at&t is getting a free charging plate.
You got the Lumia 920 for $49.99 at Wal-Mart.
This is only an AT&T promotion which you have to pay $99 to ge the wireless charging pad.

If you can't buy it at AT&T, buy it at walmat and use the $50 you saved to buy the wireless charger outright.
Funny thing, I looked at the attwireless website, I did not see they mention the free charging plate is exclusively for online purchasing. If you look at the fine print at the bottom, it says "Nokia Wireless Charging Plate Offer avail. until 1/10/2013 or while supplies last. New 2yr contract w/ qual. voice & data plans req'd to qual. for Offer." and this is what I saw in the description "for a limited time, included§ at no cost with purchase of the Nokia Lumia 920. I bought mine at the AT&T store, but if you purchase the phone somewhere else, I guess you can call customer service to ask for the charging plate at no cost.
I purchased mine from an at&t store for $450 outright with no contract. I tried arguing with the store manager about the free wireless charger but he wouldn't do it. So this morning I called customer service up and explained to them the situation, the lady was super nice about it and gave me a $50 dollar credit + taxes on my current bill. So I ended up saving close to $60 dollars.
Just FYI for those who didn't get the free charger.
Hi everyone, I am from India and lumia 920 havent been launched yet in my country. I would like to know the price of unlocked lumia 920 in each of your countries so that we can analyse where is the least price and will be a help to prospective buyers. Do contribute a minute.....:fingers-crossed:
I'm from Viet Nam and the price is 13.999.000VND (around US$670). In the bundle, there are basically a Lumia 920, a Wireless Charging Plate, a Microsoft Wireless Mouse and an optional gift from the seller.
I think malaysia has lowest price
Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 launched in malaysia main stores for RM1,999 (approx. $655) and RM1,599 (approx. $525) respectively. I think this is the best price for L920.
Common guys post the price in ur country.
I got mine in Germany for 597 euros (~770 USD) in the 2nd week of November...
I'm from Romania;
here the price for standard black and white NL920 is about 700 euro's.
I've ordered my phone from Germany (the single place were I found the yellow model) and I paid for it with all txes 802 Euro.
Here in finland its about 600€.
A non contract Nokia Lumia 920 from AT&T is $449 + tax here in the US, and they are including a Wireless Charging Plate for free for a limited time (it ships separately from the phones). AT&T is the exclusive carrier for the 920 here in the US.

It depends on what the taxes are in your state, county, etc. Where are you at? Also, are you an AT&T customer? I am not sure if they will sell to a non customer, or somebody from another country.
It cost in Saudi Arabia $666.4
Indonesia
It cost Rp 6500000 (US 665), Pre Order Rp 5500000 (US 560)...
$696 here in Australia outright on the Telstra Network. Cheapest price in the country, even when grey importing.
Italy from the TIM store for €599. Best part is that every phone in Italy is sold unlocked.
I managed to get one brand new in box for 499 off contract in Canada (Rogers black edition)
So far, it looks like AT&T in the US has the cheapest, non contract price.

I don't plan on changing carriers, so that's not a big deal. Also, you can use it on Straight Talk, as you can any AT&T branded phone.

None of the current websites are able to unlock the phones yet. I tried all of them and they all refunded my money. They said to wait 3-4 weeks till their database get updated with the new phones.

Does anyone know if its possible get a Rogers Nokia Lumia 920 from Rogers if you are in the US?

You do, you need a pay as you go account with $50 plus applicable taxes for them to unlock it for you, they charge the $50 fee to that account.
My first unit was 45/2012 the replacement (current phone) is 47/2012

I won't pay those jerks $50 to unlock my Lumia,
and no one else should encourage this!
I Just got my unlock code from unlock.gsmcanada.com
i tried cellunlocker first. They couldn't unlock it.
gsmcanada took a Whole Day.
my build was 45/2012.
Some have been successful will Rogers 920. I personally was able to get 2 of 3 unlocked from cellunlocker.net
I think the ones that haven't been able to get unlocked at all are the AT&T ones.
I just unlocked 18 out of 20 Rogers 920's yesterday using CellPhoneUnlock.net and they were only charging $14.99, today I went back and they've raised the price to $49.99! Cellunlocker.net is now charging $39.99 (up from $14.99 too), so maybe this is a sign that unlocking these devices has been really popular and they're having a harder time getting codes.

I, too, could unlock mine. Got it on Wednesday (batch 47), ordered right away (before they jacked up the price from $14.99 to $39.99), and got the code yesterday. Could hardly believe it!:victory:

I bought mine at $500 + 13% tax and was lucky enough to have it unlocked for $15 at cellunlocker (they just increased the price 2 1/2 times).
Yes, this one is pentaband (I'm using it on an AWS Canadian carrier 1700-2100 MHz). I've heard that you could flash the ATT one with the Rogers firmware and make it pentaband. The issue is unlocking it

I purchased it from canadagsm.ca. They charge about $30 for shipping, but they have a retail location in the GTA, 4 mins from my workplace, so I went to pick it up there instead
They have the 820 unlocked for $568. Not sure if that one is pentaband, though.

Thanks for the info! Was about to purchase it for $599 at rogers off contract. The one listed on the Canada GSM website doesn't show the 1700 band
3G Network HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100
I'm assuming they just forgot it? Can you confirm if your manual/box lists the 1700 band on it for 3G as I plan to use it on Wind Mobile.
