Differences between Evervolv and CM10
What's different between Evervolv and CM10?
If the most important answer is "Evervolv will get more attention and updates, leading to more/better hardware support and more updates" I'm okay with that (and then some!)
I use my View mostly for the basics - email, navigation, web browsing, Hulu/Netflix/XFinity. I miss the hardware keys (I think the way HTC did them should have become the Android standard rather than waste screen space on them) and I never did get to use the pen the way I'd planned (Square w/ credit card signatures) so I guess they're things I can do without, but I really do miss WiMax support. I use my View away from home much more than at home (or another WiFi souce) so the 3G only speeds does matter to me.
Would either rom be a better choice?

Can't wait
So glad that the view is getting some dev love. I however need to wait as 90% of the tablets usage is with headphones watching Netflix or listening to Pandora. The kids use it to play Mine Craft or Angry birds lol. I am really hoping you get this ROM working with the headphones, netflix and then Bluetooth. Bluetooth will come in handy later when I buy another vie. w to install in the car's dash.

I tried to download but I get a 404 error that the page cannot be found when trying to download one of the zip files.

What recovery are you using. Typically a failed message in recovery means either bad download or bad copy. Redownload, recopy and try again.

OK, I'll bite, what does Soundabout do? As for the ROM I was using the CM10 Nightlys and just got tired of all the glitches, this ROM is much more stable, thanks OP!

Ok, only because SOMEONE will ask (there's a lot of back/forth between these forums), any chance of a port to the Flyer?
dexter_nlb has gotten bluetooth working on that device and between him, Chaosz-X and help from others they have a great kernel base for ICS/JB, not to mention a working active pen in JB!

Right now this ROM only plays audio through the speakers, soundabout routes the audio through the headphone jack. I've been using it as a temporary fix until the OP gets the ROM straightened out.

Will there be video capability at some point. I tried netflix and hulu plus but it showed a black screen with sound. I found that other things work well.
The CG Rom and HC Roms like desenced view show video.

This ROM is based off of Agrabren's CM10 Disarmed Toaster for CDMA and is ported from the HTC Sensation Paranoid Android ROM.
This build is considered to be stable, but is a far cry from being 100% finished. As the Camera and Bluetooth do not work.
The good:
It boots!
****For those of you who are experiencing bootloops, this has to do with the radio. After flashing this ROM if you encounter a bootloop, try reflashing your radio and that should fix the bootloop. I have tested this myself but it has not been confirmed by others yet. Try this at your own risk, I am not responsible for bricked phones or anything else that might occur when using this ROM or flashing radios*****
Sound
Wifi
Voice/Data
All the Paranoid Android Settings
USB Mass Storage
Headphones (Huge thanks to Mazda!)
Microphone
Google Now
4G
You tell me!
What is borked at the moment:
Camera
Bluetooth
Anything that was broken in CM10 DisarmedToaster 0.1.6
You tell me!
A HUGE thank you to the many people who make this all possible!
Including but not limited to:
Agrabren - for making the base for this ROM and making all this possible
b.huss2 - for bringing PA to the 3D
ognimnella - for maintaining PA, allowing me to get involved with this project, and for helping guide me along the way lol
Gtj94 - for porting PA to the HTC Sensation and giving me something to port to the 3D
Mazda - for the headphone fix
HTC - for the phone
Sprint - for putting the phone on our network
Everyone who work on the ASOP Kernel Development
Everyone who creates that apps used in this ROM
The Original PA Team
All the Users of this ROM!
If I have forgotten anyone please let me know and I will add you!
The design: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1717079
Visit this link. There's plenty of information there about what PARANOIDANDROID is.
The awesome base: http://forum.xdadevelopers.com/showt...sarmed+toaster

Don't you look at me in the tone of voice!
Finally got my evo3d to run its proper data speeds....or close to it. (wimax - 9mb/ 3g 1ish dl). I was getting 1mb/ and .3k before) horrible. so i had to get a sense dialer to access, so it meant switching from asop to sense to make the setting changes in the MSL menus. Then i switch back to asop cm9 rom and my data speeds sucked again. So i switch back to the sense rom, and all the MSL settings where reset. So is there anyway to make these settings stay when switching roms, or is there a back door access to these settings in an asop rom, or are you just stuck with bad data speeds, etc. with asop roms? thanks.
by the way, doesnt really deal to much with this rom, but I wouldnt mind switching to it if i can keep my good data speeds.

Thanks, I should have done that first.
Based on what I have read, CM10 is faster and has great features for a noob like me. But AOKP, even though some says that is a bit slower, has a lot more customizations.
I will try both for a few days to see how it goes.

Do you know if there is a way to change an option in the camera so that I cover the complete screen? On this one, the shutter button takes a huge part of the screen, I think that it is cause it includes the last picture preview on the control bar.

I know what you mean. The difference is that CM is using all the pixel, while sense cut the picture to fit the screen. So you have more pixel with CM.

Finally have an hour to download and flash this rom. Download is slow but hopefully I'll get time to flash and try this one.
Regarding the screen colour mess on the lock screen, I also had that on the other MIUI v4 port that another dev did. It's hard to get a pic, it only lasts a second or two. It's hard to describe but kind of reminds me of a failing pc graphics card or something!
I do it the same as I've always done ... Flash boot IMG on PC in fast boot .. Wipe ... Then install gapps and ROM reboot then wait at boot animation .... Right kids asleep I will do it now and report back

Ok, flashed and up and running. Haven't tested it fully but setup went fine.
No service signal but it does show my service provider. Will check my apn settings etc.
I managed to take a shot of the power/lock screen thing. It stays up for a second or two as the phone goes to sleep from lock screen. See attached image.
Ps. Checked my APN, all is set up as should be. Still have no service signal. Tried a different SIM with another provider and the same, no signal. I should have a good four or five bars on both.

About:
- -O3 Optimized
- Based off of CM
- Themed apps with the idea of beauty and elegance in mind. (WIP)
- ThemeCenter
- CM Performance Control (duh)
- All non-system/Google apps you see (Experience Project, Help Center, Changelog, etc), have been built from scratch by me. Unique, right?
- More, but I don't want to name everything this has. Too excessive.
Why?
Android is cool... right?
Yeah.
It seems like it is the same thing every time. You download a ROM, set it up, blah blah blah.
That gets boring. And boring is bad. It leads to trouble, and trouble is even worse.
I want this ROM to be YOUR ROM. Not some 'ROM' you use. F*** that. Originality is cool.
I personally created the following apps you will see:
-Experience Project
-HelpCenter
-GAppsCenter
-XPChangelog
and am currently working on several more. This is MY way of breaking out, and trying something original. Let's hope it'll turn out decent, right?
Oh, and the freaking awesome new MMS you're going to see, was personally, and painstakingly, modified by me. Consider it 'THE' MMS for 4.4, or rather, what I think it should've looked like. That to me is my absolute prized posession. I had dreamed about doing it for months, gained the knowledge, and executed the s*** out of it. Hahah. We're talking HOURS and HOURS of tedious editing to make sure it looked PERFECT. So, please, try giving that a try, instead of using HangOuts. Even for 5 minutes. Or at least pretend to like it so I don't get bummed out. <-- Ignore this for now
All joking and immaturity aside though, I worked incredibly hard on this ROM, doing nearly all of the work by myself (Seriously, Chromium is an awesome artist). So, please, enjoy this ROM.

Captain mentioned in another thread that it will be best to update our hboot to the one used by the rumrunner s off method.

I installed it, gsm and data work fine, signal bars only display 1 or 2 bars for me like evervolv, and still the graphical issues with browser and gapps. Very smooth though.

Same observations: ROM is as smooth as butter and quick. Data and WiFi acquisition is same as OEM sense. Excellent job! @sportsstar89
Only problems I've seen are the same as @jeepers007 evervolv kitkat, default browser and some gapps aren't rendering properly. They show as all black or have black blocks. Also camera issues, which has been mentioned. Again great work!
Awwww yeahhhh time for some CM styled Kitkat on the Amaze
Sportsstar is the man!
adapting for 3.4 kernel
hey sports is it alot of work to adapt a CM rom for the 3.4 kernel? if not can you adapt this or any JB version roughly for 3.4 kernel?? it's easier to test the kernel with a aosp rom than a sense rom..i dont have the minimum requirements to build up a rom from source cuz my whole pc has like less than 10GB free hard space ... just for the testing purposes of radio BT WIFI and sensors and audio :good:
This is awesome! Thanks for the great work!
Will have to revert back to jelly but once black box problem is solved
looking forward to this as daily driver.
I seem to be messing this install up, so I'm going to go back to your other awesome version. But first, a question:
Which gapps should one use with this?
Thank you,

I've been using PA Gapps and seems to work well. I've tried another in that past with Evervolv but can't remember which one but worked just as well...
here's a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 there seems to be a lot there!
Are those constant issues like call/speaker volume not working or external SD card mounting fixed at last? Is there maybe any chance of these fixes being backported to, say, 10.1 or 10.2?
