[Q] Horizontal and vertical scrolling launcher? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any launcher that you can scroll the home screens both vertically and horizontally? Not 3-d but 2-d, like a 4x4 grid of homescreens.

Try go launcher

As far as I know go launcher only allows horizontal home screen scrolling. I might be wrong, in which case i would appreciate some insight on how to scroll between homescreens both vertically and horizontally with go launcher( or any other launcher).
(not talking about app drawer scrolling)

I am also in the process of looking for something like this. I was thinking 5 screens total. The center being the main home screen and I swipe left, right, up, or down to see the other 4 screens. I'll post back here if I find anything.

It only goes down in app drawer. No launcher can do the vertical scrolling with homepages. (i believe)

Dxtop launcher has this function, i think.

Flyme OS 3.0 Launcher does this trick.

home launcher like this?

I'm just wondering is there any home launcher that you can customize the app drawer view?
like I wish to see normal just like typical adw/touchwiz (icon + text).
or just plain icon.(which adw do).
Or just a list of app names? (just like metro UI?)
I know windows 7 launcher does this. But I don't want the tiles.
And those launchers all stuck at one style. Why they can't let us customize this!!!
File browsers give you option to view icon grid or list.
Does anyone know any launcher does this??
go launcher . launcher pro . 360 launcher miui launcher

[Q] Does any current launcher allow a list view in the app drawer?

In my current HTC Sense version I can switch the app drawer to a scrollable, vertical list view.
I've been looking to move on to a newer ROM.
Sense 4.0a doesn't seem to have this option, and neither do Trebuchet, Apex Launcher, GO Launcher, or any other that I have tried.
I absolutely hate viewing my apps in a grid. It's much harder to look through, and it looks iphone-like.
Is there any current launcher out there that supports this? Or any hack or tweak?
You can try Launcher7?
Ok, thanks. Seems a bit drastic though.
Any other suggestions?
Am I alone in wanting this? Surely some other people prefer a list to a grid?
Don't know of any launcher that has a list view app drawer but a work around is to use a third party app like AltDrawer. You can use it instead of the launcher's inbuilt app drawer.

try ss launcher, very smooth and fast...

i am using ics in my x8,ss launcher and launcher pro is working fine.In these launcher you can use drawer as list view.
On Go Launcher, you can go under prefrences, then app drawer settings and then choose app drawer scrolling orientation. There you can choose vertical continuous. If I have to be with pages, this won't help you

that's not really what he was asking for. he wants the apps to be in a list as in windows phone 7 launchers. to answer you OP question, I'm quite sure that ss launcher does have the feature you're talking about. the other option has been isted before, that alt launcher app is quite smooth
LG Launcher... ADW + Sense MOD, Samsing TouchWiz Launcher...

Vertical cube ICS launcher?

I have horizontal cube in Apex and Trebuchet both but I can't find an ICS launcher which has vertical cube. Halp
huh? are you talking about the app drawer (pages)?
if so, Nova Prime does a vertical scrolling layout
Never seen a launcher that does that ...in cube form lol

[Q] how to fixate wallpaper?

Is there a way to fixate the wallpaper in TW launcher?
I just want to have non moving wallpaper even tho I scroll over the launcher pages.
I tried to change the picture size and all, but the wallpaper still moves along with the pages..

Tw launcher.? I never heard of that..but. almost all the launchers, there should be a setting for scrolling wallpaper. I believe it is in screen settings.
This is my signature....
I would assume he means stock touch wiz launcher..

Blink Feed with 3rd party launchers - here is how

Figured out a way to use blink feed with 3rd party launchers (at least ADW, I assume others can as well)
Using ADW, i created a custom shortcut to an activity. That activity was the Sense 5 launcher. When I click the shortcut it takes me to blink feed.
I deleted all the sense 5 launcher pages except blink feed.
When I hit home it goes back to my ADW home.
Will post screen shots tonight.
Maybe this is common knowledge.....if so sorry.

Actually to clarify, it looks like the activity shortcut I was using is from the Apex launcher i also have on the phone.. It just shows as a choice in the ADW custom shortcut menu. I also notice an activity shortcut form Nova launcher in there too.

Sort of. It is really just an icon to switch between sense 5 and the 3rd party launcher. You will remain in the sense 5 launcher until you hit the home button. However, I see no reason to stay in sense 5 except for blinkfeed, so yes, I am using it like an app and deleted all the non blinkfeed homescreens and dock icons. Of course sense 5 doesn't let you delete the app drawer icon so that is still there.
You retain full functionality of the blinkfeed page (clock/weather/and blinkfeed options). You can still tap the weather and get details, tap the clock to get world times, etc.
Along those lines, anyone know how to get the original HTC 4x2 weather flip clock into a launcher OTHER than Sense, such as nova launcher? Not as a downloaded widget from the play store, but the one I could add to the Sense additional home screens.

I've been able to get access to most all of the Sense widgets when using Lightning Launcher...
I set my activity to a gesture. So I pinch to zoom and it jumps into blink feed
