Hiya Evo people..
I've just bought an Evo 3D after owning a Desire HD for the last two years and I'm wondering if there's a stable rom with working 3D camera/video that strips out Sense?
I went through a lot of roms on the HD and finally settled on IceColdSandwich which I'm really happy with so ideally I'm after a 4.0.4 or above rom that I can stick Apex launcher on and get the Evo looking (and working) like my HD.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to have to go through testing different roms to find the right one..

Wrong section, post in Q&A please...
For a newbie I would recommend using a stable ROM and not a Jelly Bean ROM - most if not all of them are in Beta/Alpha and have their fair share of bugs.
Yep next time in q&a please.
My recommendation is miui v4 with buttered toast kernel. Runs 100% stable is most fluid for 4.0.4 and has working 3D.

Its a ROM from Gnex for developers to compile ,anyway there is nothing to excpect from this right now.

it's a DUMP of a System Image. You can call it backup.
It's for the Galaxy Nexus and could be ported to our device.

but i saw a YouTube video showing that it boots fine on the one x, is that SDK port or what? do u think u can port it to our device? =P
You guys simply wait for Jean Baptiste Queru and the team around him to get JB merged to AOSP. Afterwards CM will merge and adopt it and y'all should be able to get a compiled (non-ported) JB onto your Evo3d as long as agrabren continues work on CM9 for evo3d. Porting at the actual state of aosp ics on evo3d makes no sense for me.

+1. A SDK port may be able to boot, but it will be really bugged and unstable. A source build is the real deal.

Thanks, me and helicopter88 will probably be working together on this one. I tried earlier but had issues with the kernel
I think that it's better to wait for the source code to drop (mid july),so we'd have cleaner & faster builds with much more working,but if i find enough free time I'll help Ubuntuz getting jb to work

Agreed, since jelly bean is just a revision of ICS I think its important to get everything stable on 4.0.4. From there jelly bean should come pretty fast, once the source it released

But, if you got good connections @ DroidRzR, ask there if it would be possible that they Theme the Epsilon Rom for us
I know they got BadAss Theme Creators over there (Red/Blue Widow, Red Deamon and so on)

I think andlaw (creator of the widow rom) has retired. I don't have any connections with other themers besides myself and vtwin (creator of these two roms and the USA Olympics one) but he's pretty much handed off all the theming to me

What kinda theme would the users be interested in? I would have to juggle it along with my college class and what ever else comes up with the roms I'm currently associated with so I couldn't promise fast progress

I guess something Black & Red would be nice. Other Users would like it, too. There was an Thread in Theme Section about it. But it seems, that there're no Themers in GSM Section. I got no Skills in stuff like that, I just flash whatever I get

I spoke with the other developer and he said the GSM patch should work on all aokp and cm9 roms but nothing is promised so make a back up. If u want u can try flashing this in order: rom, gapps, patch, reboot.

The GSM Patch worked just flawless on GB. My Favorite was the Widow and i was almost daily in Andlaws Thread. But since we use ICS, it's impossible to get an working data connection for us.
Many Guys tried to find an solution, but it seems to complicated. I hope DHacker and Co. find an solution, since they got an GSM MaXx now.

No you can't. It might be possible to port it to the evo 3d but that requires some skills
just dont try to flash any sensation rom, you might brick your phone
There are a couple of JB ROMs based on the Nexus in CDMA development, but none from the Sensation afaik.

There aren't any Sense 4 roms with EVERYTHING working yet (No 3D or 4G) but there are some notable ones out there, namely Newt's Rom, 6thSense. Viper3D and RagnaROM

pure android like that which was released on the one, is possible, just compile from the AOSP source code base from google. pure android is basically the same open source code that google uses, cyanogenmod is a derivative of that work. we HAVE AOSP as lloir released it but nobody seemed overly interested so development has basically ground to a halt. If theres interest im sure someone will pick it up and compile it.

Aosp is available thanks to lloir for his rom and maxwen for his kernel.
The difference is android version 4.3 a different bootanimation and pbotosphere camera.
4.3 might come in some time, bootanimation cannot be downloaded and for photosphere cam take a look at my thread here:

we are 4.3 ready hence the AOSP-Masters, just bluetooth issue
Perfect did already wonder what the master builds are but thought the source wasn't released yet

they are 4.3 but they arn't 4.3....... if that makes sense...
I guess I get it... Sounds promising. Already thought that the Bluetooth issues might have to do with Bluetooth le and code changes of 4.3

Normal htc one users don't get google play edition, its just another gimmick, the googleplay edition can purchased through google store, it is a real bummer though, id love to have official google on my htc onex without having to install a custom rom.
