at last !!!
some one noticed
300Mbps is theoretical max speed, link speed will degrade according to signal quality.
65mbps is a very good connection speed

I've tried reboots and reflashing and still every time I go to open my camera it tries to load, then says camera failed and kicks me out. Anyone know how to help?
Heres a logcat http://pastebin.com/rucwz39x and screens of what happens. Also, on the first screen, my phone is not plugged in or low on batt even though the icon is there.

Did any of your previous roms prompt you to upgrade the camera firmware?
I'm starting to think its a hardware problem because this is a refurb phone and today is the first time I tried using the camera. I restored a nandroid from when I know it was working and it still failed. I will odin to stock tomorrow and if its still broken, I will be getting another replacement.

has the camera ever worked on the stock rom or any other rom?
if so, then what are your settings in voltage control? trying changing the scheduler from sio to cfq or bfq
I don't know if it ever worked because as soon as I got this refurb I went to the comrom but I will try to odin later to see if it works. All voltages are stock and changing the scheduler didn't fix it

I picked up my S2 earlier today, my AT&T store only got 4 in stock and I was the firs to get one.
GPS works great, everything is smooth, LED is awesome, however no 4G in my area yet so I can't test 4G speeds.
Speeds while sitting in my house:
Down: 1035 kbps
Up: 512 kbps
I can answer other things if you guys need information, however I do ask how I can move all my app data from my Captivate to the S2. I don't want to have to replay angry birds and all my other games over again.
Can you tell me the APN settings? PM if possible.
Edit, answer your question, root captivate titanium backup, sync to drop box, root sgs2, titanium backup, restore from dropbox

Just curious...when you run your speed tests are you using the Speedtest app or doing it from the web source?
Web source. I hate and despise the speed test app. Download a 3rd party browser and set the user agent to desktop. Then you can use the actual site.

Ditto.....
We rooted my wife's Eris several weeks back with the above mentioned ROM and it works great around here where we have good Verizon coverage. The issue is that when we travel to areas that don't have great native Verizon coverage, she loses her 3G altogether now and can't do anything using data. Text and calls still work, just not data. It worked prior to rooting it in these same areas.
Any suggestions or settings to check? Thanks in advance!
My first thought is that you have the wrong version of GSB, 3.9 was skipped.
There are known issues with Gingerbread dropping 3G. I recommend searching the boards.
I'm on 3.9 right now
OP have you tried the airplane mode switching on and off trick? And is this fixed by turning the phone off then back on?

Yes, 3.9 is what it says in the Mod version on the phone, so unless that was screwed up it is version 3.9 as far as I can tell.
I have not tried the airplane mode trick as I read about it last night and we are headed up there today for a reunion so I can give it a try. I've not been with my wife the last few times she's been in the area to where this happens so not sure what all she has done to try and fix it. Pretty sure she did restart the phone though with no luck but we'll see.
Please refer to this post:

Version 3.9 was skipped. You might want to try a newer version. Not sure where you got 3.9 but based on the above post from workshed 3.9 DOES NOT exist.

Obviously not but where did you download the rom from? Maybe there was an unadvertised 3.9 posted or maybe workshed forgot to change the version number when he updated it to 4.0.
Downloaded straight from the xda app
Sent from my ERIS-ADR6200 using XDA App
It's version 3.8. Workshed mistakenly put 3.9 in the mod version.

Forgot to update this thread...so we were in the area where 3G coverage drops for the wife on Sunday. I took a look at her phone and it mentioned something about International service or some such so I went into her Wireless/Networks under Settings and there was a check box for "International Roaming" so I checked it and it worked just fine!
She just never clicked it because, well, North Carolina isn't so much International! haha
I was having issues with that same version of GSB. Try updating to the latest version of GSB. That fixed my issue at least.

I can't really seem to find out the problem with my Neo, i used Neo V at some point and then transferred to Desire S and now came back to simply Neo but what I've really noticed is that Neo and Neo V have poor HSDPA connection speed unlike using Desire S I am on the same spot using the same sim card getting the same "H" signal (but at times Neo turns into 3G) CDMA only for the network preferences but still my connection speed is slow.
these are the connection speeds via speedtest

note: i know that users from time to time can affect my speed but unlike my Desire S I can get stable connection of 2-4mbps all day long unlike in Neo it's like a "one hit wonder" for me to receive good data reception, what could be the problem? is it software or hardware related?
it's pissing me off so bad

already done that, it happens on
.42, .62 and ICS roms and fw
So i recently got my S2 a few weeks back. before this had.an Optimus One.
I put my hutch sim in this one and for the past 1 week my bars keep fluctuating between 0 to 4.
Now i am on vodafone and my entire family uses the same.
Neither of them have a problem.
Also I never had a problem on my P500.
Also recently I had received an OTA of about 20mb, still on ICS though.
After that update I have been getting random freezes, cant change lockscreen wallpaper, not even with quickpic. TwWallpaper keeps crashing and this signal trouble.
Adding a few screens.
Taken on the same spot. Also right now my sister is getting constant full bars!

So i was wondering what should I do?
1. Replace my sim?
2. Visit a service center?
3. Rollback the update, if yes, how?
Also I'm on Stock, non-rooted. ICS 4.0.4.
SGS2, send this you must!
Given it's a new phone, your problems have been caused by a carrier pushed update & your warranty is still good, the 2nd option (tho if it were me I'd probably mess with it anyways because I don't really care about warranties).
Re: S2 Network/Update issues.
So most probably its a software issue?
If so I guess I have my reason to root and install a recovery coz even I couldn't care less about warranties..
one thing though, like my P500, once rooted, the root can be reversed as well, right?
Also is there any way without root to rollback this update?
SGS2, send this you must!
Re: S2 Network/Update issues.
Hey vj the signal drop problem is a common issue on Vodafone network if you want you can try to change your s2 modem to see if will gonna improve your signal .
Use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1656005
Or you can try to root your phone using this method that I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719
Then you can try another Rom

thanks man!
I switched to GSM only since 3G plans are way expensive here anyways, also since I'm on wifi usually.
And haven't seen a drop since then, hope it stays so!
Also network issue aside I sometimes find the metal around the camera getting hot while gaming for more than 30-40 minutes.
Is it normal or should I go ahead and flash that modem, since it boasts of nominal temperatures at all uses?
And OT, are you also an ex-P500 user? I seem to remember you seeing around on xda. And I have been on OT & P500 forums only prior to SGS2
that heat is a normal effect for our s2 when we play a game or a movie and if you gonna flash that modem your phone signal will gonna increase and the heat will lower (tested by me)
OT : yes i'm an ex p500 user you'll gonna see some work for it in my signature and an rom port (not in my sig )
