NEVERMIND IT WORKED FOR 20 MIN THEN STOPPED THIS IS BULL**** . Lol anyone have a real method that works let me know thanks
Those of you with a ps3 you know certain types of videos can't be played due to a software in the ps3 blocking audio. Well media share allows these videos to be played via ps3 I tried using ps3 media server with no joy of it being able to play on the ps3

I watched a video comparing a vibrant to a my touch 4g and it was mentioned that they could be shared with the wii to watch videos on the tv. I searched google and xda and couldn't find what I was looking for. does anyone know how to accomplish this?i know there is all share which is a dlna client and I think screen share may be a similar app that could accomplish this but I haven't figured out how.

I wonder if there's a DLNA capable media player for Wii.
AllShare hasn't really worked for what I wanted to do with it. I've been using "Twonky" from the Market with my 360 instead but there's also a new there from Qualcomm called "Skifta". These 3 apps turn your phone into a DLNA server. One may work for you.
There's also the PlayOn windows app which is also a DLNA media server. I have found it to work well with my 360 as well. It can be found here: http://www.playon.tv/playon
If the Wii isn't capable of being a DLNA client like the 360 and the PS3 then I don't know how it could ever work. Good luck!
Apologies if this is a stupid question...
When I record a video on my phone, I'd like to be able to stream the clip on to my television through AllShare. Sadly, my television won't play the files. Neither will my 360.
Is it simply that neither will recognise the file format? Or am I doing something completely wrong?
I don't think the 360 supports the playback of recorded videos. I couldn't get mine to work when I tried.
It seemed to be pushing a 3gpp video instead of the mp4 when I did it. Maybe the fact that it was 1080p didn't help either.
Must give it another go at some point.

You can stream via allshare to the xbox, but the xbox has to be in media center mode.

No problem with ps3. Download iMediaShare for Free from the market. Stream all you want to with that.

May not be big new to those who have owned a DLNA enabled phone before, but coming from HTC phones over the past few years, I wanted to share with Photon users/XBox owners. The Photon can act as a server for your music, videos and pictures...streaming them to your XBox. Anyone already doing this?
Not yet but I will be. Thanks for sharing that. ;-)

You can also do it from the gallery. Open the gallery app, tap the menu button, settings, tap media share settings, check media share and also check Support XBox. You will want to be connected to wifi. Your XBox doesn't have to be on wifi, but at the very least it needs to be connected to the same access point via Ethernet.
Yeah DLNA is pretty sweet. It will also work on your ps3. Just don't try and stream any HD videos or it will lag like a mug.

There is an app called imedia share that wotked decent on my evo and nexus s to my tv (samsung tv with allshare but no apps other than media play for usb and dlna support) which also allows you to stream youtube and facebook content.
Only reason to run it that way is plasma tv + ps3 does fair good with the electric bill people.

Download airsync and doublethink. Good apps. All via WiFi. It turns your device into a media server.

So I am still interested in people's opinion on this topic. I am thinking about getting a Media Link HD but I feel like I would be stupid to buy one. It seems to me like I have a phone with DLNA and a PS3 & LG BD390 that both have DLNA so why do I need another box?
Can anyone give me an idea how we could make the PS3 work like the Media Link HD? Thanks!
Does anyone know of an app that lets you stream from a DLNA device and program such as PS3 Media Server?
-^ i would like to know too. when i turn on my media share, the ps3 recognizes it, but when i open the folders there is nothing there.

When you're on it try hitting triangle and I think it might say display all or something like that.

I have a netgear router that comes with an app called netgear genie streams everything perfect the only thing it does not do is mirror the phone. A neat feature but not worth $75 to me to buy Media Link HD.
