I saw some videos where a percentage of the power shows next to the green battery icon in the notification area. Is there a way to set it up that way or an app to download?

Edit: You mean Notification Area or Status Bar?
Cause next to the green Battery Icon that would be the Status Bar. You can enable the Percent Display in Settings of your Phone

Thanks to both of you! Done.

Attached is a screenshot. Everytime I check notifications a weird rando number shows up in upper left corner. Weird characters show up instead of times on text messages as well. Anyone else have this issue?
Looks like an app you installed is causing that. Def a battery app. Your battery meter in the notification bar is showing the percent left of the battery which is not stock. Try checking the settings of the app you installed.

I agree. Probably that battery widget app. I would try to uninstall and see if that stops it. Then reinstall.
I have the same one I believe, and it is working fine.
I can't for the life of me figure out how you get the "notifications" and "quick settings" options at the bottom of your dropped down notification bar. How did you do that?

Battery widget wasnt the culprit
Check your DEVELOPER settings. I think there's an option in there that superimposes some info onto the screen.
I was hoping someone could create an xposed mod to add battery percentage to the second screen or change the whole icon all together.

Subscribed. Totally want this too. It does show the battery icon but not the percentage. Wonder if the Xposed mod that has percentage inside the icon would show up on second screen?
I agree. Anywhere the state of the battery is shown I would prefer to see a number value instead of the partially filled battery icon (I'd rather not have to see both as often is the case). This would be especially helpful on the 2nd screen.
this, would be great.....

G4 Tweaksbox (unlocked) shows battery % in status bar
They're talking about second screen, not status bar.
This is how I got battery percentage and battery temperature to show up on second screen. My phone is rooted but should work without root. Download Notification Toggle, enable both rows of toggles. Since the toggles duplicate OEM toggles I just disable the OEM toggles. This makes the OEM toggles shorter to swipe. Goto preferences and change the Status bar icon to battery percentage and 2nd Status bar icon to battery temperature. This will show the battery percentage and battery temperature in the status bar when the screen is on and show them in the second screen when the screen is off. The only downside if the added toggle rows in the drop down notification.
I tried at least 10 apps yesterday to show the battery percent in the second screen while the Main is Off.
All of them add the persistent notification in the notification area. Is there an app which just adds it in status bar and hence the second screen, but not in the notification? If not is there a way to hide the permanent ongoing notification of a selected app so that I can use any battery percent app?
bump
Good news, I found an xposed module that changes the theme and shows battery percentage on only the second screen...

You can tell me if you can delete the battery symbol and leave only the percentage and if possible move the time center thanks

You need to turn on the System UI Tuner.
Pull down notification bar and long press on the settings icon. When you get the message that it's turned on (read the warning) tap on battery. You'll have option to hide battery icon.
Position of the clock can't be changed as far as I know.
My battery used to display the percentage up top. Now it doesn't. I can't find any setting. I'm in plain stock.
Its not letting me attach screenshots for you. Anyhow, go into system settings, General (tab), then Battery & Power saving.
In there, you should see an option called Battery Percentage on Status Bar. Turn tyat on and you should be good to go.

That's it. Thanks!
Hello. How can I hide the battery percentage in the notification bar?

Go to settings/ notifications/ status bar
There should be a setting to turn battery percent off on s10 devices

The notification bar has an independent battery appearance from this option. See for yourself if you have s10.
Did you make it friend?

That's from the statusbar and not the notification area.
Pic attached for clarity; Everybody knows how to get rid of the battery icon/percentage in the status bar.... can the percent in the notifications be removed? The method for the status bar does not work here.
Life out there.
Any update on this problem? I got S10e and the percentage is always showing after scrolling down the notification bar. I found no option to disable that percentage. There's only the usual "Show battery percentage" that is already disabled. Attached percentage after scrolling.
Wipe
Not sure why you wish disable it as long as it doesn't show otherwise... it's harmless.
I have all header icons disabled so I simply pull down notifications if I need the battery level.
