This is not my work I just thought I would share this with everyone in the rezound community because our device is supported by the tool.

Shouldnt this go in general section?
No, I'd say this is the perfect location for this. It's a tool that helps with recoveries, so why wouldn't it go in 'Development?' It looks very useful and I would have never learned about this if it was posted in 'General.'
Thanks to the OP for this.

You're very welcome. Thanks for the kind words. Believe me I hesitated posting this in the DEV section for fear of being bombarded by people about where it should be posted. In the end I was thinking exactly what you responded. Hope this can end up being of good use for people. Glad I could help by sharing it's exisitence.

I didnt mean to be mean if thats what it seemed like. I just wasnt sure if it belonged here or in the general section.
I would only suggest renaming the title to follow the requirements for this section, see the sticky at the top.

I am putting this up in favor of the devs. I am not a dev myself, but I certainly respect what they are doing! What I can't stand are the people who keep asking dumb questions, like: when will this be fully working? Or: What is the status of android on touch pro 2? Look at the threads! If you took the time to look, you would know that there is still work to be done. Again, thank you devs!

Noobs will be noobs and there will never be a shortage of them lol, not much you can do about it. That's what I've learned with forums.
Noobs will be Noobs is right. I actually think the status updates have been very frequent and easy to navigate. (even for people like me that haven't been around much lately! :O )

Pretty sure a guide like that should be stickied with the rest of those threads at the top... that would be veryy helpful. I would be very confused too coming into the android threads for the first time.

Maybe at the "download your files here" section, say that the users don't necesarily need to know how those files work and what exactly they do, just that they are needed parts for android to work. Just trying to think if I was a beginner and what might confuse or overwhelm me. Just a suggestion but it probably wouldn't make a difference. Other than that I just wonder who needs to be told in order to get this thing stickied. This is kind of the equivelant of the thread in the WinMo section on flashing ROMs for noobs.

Hey guys! Long story short, I unlocked, rooted and installed Clockwork as my recovery and it kept hanging when I was trying to do a backup.
I got frustrated and impatient so I just flashed CleanRom without doing a backup first. I love CleanRom and all, but if I wanted, can I go back to stock now that I don't have a backup?
Any info would be appreciated, thanks!
What is your definition of stock? Unrooted? Relocked? Untouched rom? Somemore information would be helpful to guide you in the right direction.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk
If you want to go back to stock. Relock your phone and grab the RUU. It will put you back from whence you came.
Uber :facepalm
First and foremost read THIS from beginning to end. Stop posting questions in the Dev section...despite how special you think you are...you're not. Post in general or maybe searching is a great idea.
If you want a stock ROM here. To go back to complete stock you need to relock the phone and flash the latest RUU IIRC...

Most of the ROMs available are basically stock with minor, stable modifications. I feel pretty stock on ineffabilis and it feels true to the phone.

People posting in wrong sections and asking questions that have been asked about a million times get's very annoying. Have at it if that is what YOU want...if the OP would've used the search function, he/she would've found what they were looking for.
If you guys want to continue to baby people and spoon feed information to them then knock yourself out. If you post a new thread non-development thread in a development thread be prepared.
Jesus H. Christ on a pogostick, people. A "Development" forum isn't just for the Devs. It's also for people using the fruits of the devs' labors. Sometimes, they have questions. If they didn't, they'd probably be developing on their own, and XDA wouldn't need to exist. Sure, using search is advisable, dare I say it, recommended. But there is no reason to get nasty.
I've been a part of XDA since WinMo 5, and I left for a long time due to nastiness like this. I'm no developer. I just use what gets made, and I'm damn grateful for it. But there a reason XDA is slowly seeing a mass exodus to RootzWiki: Less (but still existent) dickery. Yes, what the devs do is a courtesy to the community. No, they shouldn't have to answer the sane questions repeatedly. The search doesn't always cut it, and it isn't always used. Wouldn't it just be easier to either quickly answer and encourage search usage politely or to quote and respond with a link to the relevant post? Even better yet, those of us that aren't devs but are at least semi-knowledgeable could give our service to the board and aid the devs by politely answering in their stead. Novel frickin idea.

If you took one peep at my first post in this thread I provided the OP exactly what he was looking for and more. I didn't just be a **** and exit the thread as I have seen quite a bit on this particular forum. Do you realize more than half the time the Devs aren't the ones answering the repeated questions?
Anyway..you guys can continue to cuddle each others nuts and babysit one another and provide no help to the OP.
I'll exit this thread by quoting one of the Rezound forum Moderaters:

As is stated, do not post your questions in development forum. Before you start a new thread ask yourself this: "is what I'm posting a rom or a kernel?" or "is this a guide for development?"
If it is none of those, then post it in another forum.
Thanks..

...he linked to a file that was ripped out of the SDK and uploaded by someone else. He didn't compile it from source or anything. While that's nice of him to link to it here (I guess), it really doesn't belong here.
"Development" forums are pretty self-explanatory; if you made it, it goes here. If you didn't make it, it doesn't go here. We might sometimes be dicks about it but that's usually only because of how confident OPs feel about the fact they're perfectly within their right to put things like this in this section.

Now you're just being outright rude. It's not "your" parade. You didn't make this. You had no part of any bit of it. You for some reason are behaving as though you just brought us kernel source, but in reality, you simply reposted something that many, many people are already aware of and you had posted it in the wrong forum.

Honestly don't think it has to do with age some people are just like that. I can see the confusion between posting here and Dev forum since the original thread was posted in dev forum. Someone corrected OP, now he knows. Lets just move on.
I have had the Google Now for two or three days now and even though it doesn't have Voice, I prefer it over the default search. Before if you wanted to search for something on the web you had to search and then tap on the result and it would open it on your web browser. This actually opens it up right away inline within the app without having to open a web browser. You can then select images, places or your own phone. I think people that are looking away from it simply because it doesn't have voice search should give it another look. Between the cards and the inline searching, it's obviously better.

Please don't go to that website.
That website is not well liked around here, for many reasons. One, the information there is not very reliable. We get countless people who come here all the time because they bricked their phone by following that website's instructions. For another, the dev that runs that site often takes work from other devs and posts the work as his own without giving credit. As a small bit of advice, please remove the link to that website before you get flamed. The mention of that website stirs some strong emotions at xda!
