I already answered you in your other thread.
You can't get S-Off on your hboot. You can unlock the bootloader, and RUU is not needed for that.
You can't run an incorrect RUU, it will fail version check (wrong CID).

EDIT: I think I might have found the answer myself. So just ignore this thread.
My HTC Desire was on Gingerbread 2.3 and I then decided to root the phone with ClockWorkMod. I can flash any ROM fine but when I try to flash a radio it says 'Installation Aborted' and then tells me to use Edify Scripting?
Can someone please tell me what do from here??
If there's any information you need, please post it and i'll reply ASAP.
Thanks in advance!!!
I have exactly the same problem. I had to unroot for warranty and within repair they updated the official 2.3 for Desire. I had to re-root and because of the new bootloader I had to find new way to do that. Now my recovery say "Revolutionary CWM v.4.0.1.4." and when I try to falsh radio, it gives me the same info as mentioned above.
Any solution?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

(presuming this is the ROM you need) and it'll come up on several torrents. I'd upload it for you but I don't have anywhere large enough to upload it to. This is a 3g 32GB international model, but it's the RUU I used to get back on GB.
Hello,
I also invite you to not have a working link for a RUU.

First download the RUU for your device from this thread.

Does anyone have the absolutely stock RUU? I'm stuck on HBOOT 2.09 and need to unroot and relock to be able to get my corporate email back on my phone.
Trust me, guys, I've searched to find some links. And as a last resort, I'm posting this here. The sticky with the stock RUUs no longer has our device listed and no one else seems to have a working link.
If anyone can help, it'd be much appreciated since my phone is currently stuck in bootloader.
Thanks.

You have not included any additional information about your device obtainable by using 'fastboot getvar all'. I suggest you look through the forums to find at least fastboot and adb if you do not already have them as you seem to be in a position to need them.
Unfortunately your HBoot needs to be S-OFF in order to downgrade HBoot (which, as far as I am aware is only possible with Sunshine, which costs $25, if HBoot is version 1.55 or above; correct me if I am wrong, I am awaiting a reply to my own post regarding a similar topic).
If you manage to gain S-OFF, the procedure is fairly straightforward and is documented here, among other places:
minimally: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447531,
thoroughly, but note Firewater was superceded by Sunshine: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f48...-s-off-change-cid-downgrade-hboot-os-1838907/
Also this is a good place to look for more information on using fastboot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277112
and here you may find details on how to S-OFF an HBoot version 1.54 or lower: http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/get-s-off/.
Please always try to search the forums before posting a new thread when looking for the answer to a question you may have as your question may have already been answered. A little "Google-fu" doesn't hurt either.
Also it does help to add a "[Q]" before the title of a thread, followed by a question which sums up what you are essentially asking within the thread when making a new forum thread to ask a question as it does help bring attention to your post as a question.
