Anyone use a Zagg shield? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I've used Zagg shields on literally every phone I've had. Now that I'm using a Note with pen, not sure if a Zagg is a good idea. I have a matte protector I got from att store, and remember how much I hate matte protectors. Anyone use a Zagg shield? Opinions???

I have a zagg. It did get marked a bit from using the pen. I have since put an otterbox defender on it (using both screen protectors) and the pen doesn't mark as much on the defender's harder screen protector.

Zaggs suck. Over priced, over marketed. You are basically paying $20 or more for a piece of plastic worth 2 pennies to make. It's a racket.

I'm not fond of the orange peel feeling screen protectors, but they do protect. I'm quite partial to the spigen I put on my phone, paid $8 for it and didn't get marked up by the pen.
Linky: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00772FXR4

6if u r using the pen. No it is not a good idea. It will leave traces embedded on the screen protector permantly. I used to play draw something and i had pictuers that i drew left on the screen protector.

Only used the that protector with an iphone and hated it.... I've used the Spigen glasT since I've had the note with no problem and in my opinion better protection.

What screen protector do you use?

Hey all, I was wondering what screen protectors people were using if one at all..also has it performed to your standards?

Im a zagg fan. Been using it for my hd7 and now i777, It costs quite a bit but it fits my standard. The cheaper one still good but i hate the fact that its not glossy like zagg and i got goosebumps everytime i tried to txt (happens to me w/ dry surface) anyway. Zagg has been good for me w/ lifetime warranty.

I hate Zagg. Too sticky feel.
I use Rearth Ringbo..

No screen protector at all. No case either. Phone should be durable enough to last one year. By then I'll be buying a new phone anyways.

I'm using GhostArmor. I used to use Zagg's InviShield, but now they started using very thick plastic or w/e, and it's too sticky.Ghost Armor's a 20 dollar original investment. They install it for you for 20, or you can buy it yourself for 15. You can get it replaced for life for a 5 dollar install fee, or free if you install yourself.
I been using SGP on all my devices.
I hate the orange peel resistance feel on the zagg.
I got the SGP oleopholbic and like them pretty well. Got 2 for $13 off amazon, but screwed up the first one installing it. Still not a bad price though. Hasn't scratched at all and feels and looks identical to the glass on the phone. Oils and fingerprints wipe off well too.

Another vote for the SGP protectors. I use the Ultra Crystal on mine. Have to say the best protectors to date. I have used quite a few (Boxwave, Zagg, Javoedge, ebay, etc) on a variety of devices and these are by far the best.

I used a 99cent ebay one for a few days but found that it was much more resistant to the sliding of my fingers and held on to fingerprints more than the bare screen. Also, I got kind of scared that I was going to somehow screw up the oleophobic coating on the screen glass by using it.
Clear, Glossy from ebay, 2.99 shipped for x2!

I just got a 5 pack from Amazon. They were all garbage. I contacted the seller and he offered a 20% refund (after acknowledging a defect). **** that! I want all of my money back considering they are no good!

^And that's why you just pay the premium price of getting Rearth Ringbo or SGP for around $9-$15 for a pack of two.

I got a pack of SGP Ultra Oleo for both mine and my sister's phones. I messed up one of the two (because of the misleading instructions :/) but they had no problem sending me replacements free of charge.
One of the reasons why I always buy SGP products
I got mine from Ebay. Pack of 5 former 3 bucks. Can't remember brand but it was a us seller. Almost perfect placement, just one tiny bubble on the upper left part, and the feel is pretty nice.

Screen Protectors?

I plan on buying a screen protector in the near future and I want to know if anyone has recommendations or tips for things to be wary of.
Anyone with a screen protector notice have any complaints?

I got a free one from the case I ordered from amazon (SPIGEN SGP AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4G LTE Hard Case Ultra Thin [Infinity White] (FREE Best Steinheil Screen Protector Cover Film Included)). It is very impressive, doesn't leave a lot of prints and fitting is perfect. You should check it out. I see they have more expensive ones for different purpose.
+1 on the SGP. I ordered Ultra Oleophobic. They are superb! Amazon has them for $16 and you get two protectors.

Got the same case, except in black. There is really no room for error for the screen protector install. Mine was just a hair off at the bottom and I made the awful call to pull it up- got a couple lint spots now. Not horrible, but still annoying.
I will be buying a two pack of the Oleo version to replace this one down the road. I figure a couple pieces of lint isnt worth trashing the entire protector right away.
Whats your take on the actual case? I think its a little loose fitting.
Tried them all.
SGP is the only brand I will ever use. (their cases are great too)

The problem is, it's far from invisible. It has a soft surface which causes the protector to get scratches. It gives it an almost sticky feel compared to a protector / glass with a higher surface hardness.
Also it doesn't transmit as much light as I would like, and it's not chemically treated to protect it from fingerprints.
The only reason it's successful is marketing.
I have invisible shield on the front and back and I absolutely love it

Have you ever tried any other wet screen protectors? Zagg is the only one I've used with the annoying orange peel. It also feels the most rubbery. I will never buy Zagg again.
I always used PowerSupport screen protectors on my iPhone, but it appears that the company doesn't make protectors for the iPhone. Going on recommendations, I got an SGP ultra clear protector from Amazon on Tuesday. It went on very easy. I was very careful and have no bubbles or dust and it's lined up perfectly.
You can't even tell it's there. The s pen glides along very smoothly.
It compares very favorably to the PowerSupport protectors.
Well I ordered the oil repellent one because of a skin condition I have that requires me to apply a lot of lotion so hopefully that'll make my phone experience more enjoyable.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

I have the moshi ivisor also. Ordered the sgp ultra oleophobic earlier this week and it came today! Will be installing it later and taking the ivisor back to ATT.
Update: I installed the SGP and it looks 1000% better than the moshi ivisor matte screen protector. I like the ease of install on the ivisor, but the matte just detracts from the screen. I borked the first sgp due to three specks of dust and when I tried to get them out with the included stickers, I made it worse. Luckily it comes with two and I got a clean install on the second one!
I was sitting next to two colleagues on a flight this afternoon and they saw my GNote and asked is that a phone? I showed it to them and one of them said...that phone makes my iphone looks like ****...lol!

I ordered one over the weekend, should be here on Thursday. Over at AndroidCentral there is a user in the GN3 forum who did get one from ATT and she is pretty happy with it.
I got one from the att store. The store lady did a great job putting it on for me. I am very happy with it so far, very clear & smooth, the pen glides smoothly over it. Btw, they only charged me $35 for it.

Good price, it's $40 on Amazon, $45 from bodyguards.com.
Does it have rounded edges? If not it's more likely to chip and maybe lift.

The edges are rounded and follow the shape of the phone, not sure if that's what you meant.
I've had it for a week and carry it in my pocket without a case. No lifting problems yet. I guess time will tell as to how well it holds.

No, I mean if you laid it flat & looked at it from the side is the top edge curved so there is less grab when your finger or the edge of a case rub against it.

If you buy from Bodyguardz, you will get 20% off the next order and there are discount codes out there, I found one for 10% off. So I wound up paying around $30 for mine.
I don't think the edges are curved. If I run my finger across the edge i can feel it. But I do like the screen protector!!

using the bodyguard tempered glass. it doesn't have round edges but i love it. it makes the phone look premium. no lifting. would recomended but not for $45. since you can get same quality with rounded edges like bason or spigen. bodyguard also includes lifetimewarranty which is good and it can justified the high price.
I put my bodyguardz one on last night. I found that I needed to let it sit and sort of get itself adhered to the glass. Otherwise when I put my Diztronic case on it the screen protector kept lifting up on one corner. After about 10 minutes it was fine and hasn't been an issue again.

First and foremost let me just start by saying that I typically do not do reviews, but I do consider myself to be a phone fanatic. I've owned several cases for several phones, including iPhone 5 & Otterbox Defender (Pictured) and this is by far the best Defender case that I've purchased. I'll try to keep it short and let the pictures do the talking.
The case fits very tight and the phone will not move at all once its placed inside, so be sure that there's no lint or hair on the screen or screen protector of the case because it's next to impossible to remove it without a flat head screwdriver or knife. The headphone port leaves plenty of room for L Shaped 3.5mm jacks (Beats etc.). The "rubber" outer shell is very stiff and shouldn't get loose over time like some of the older otterboxes. All of the ports and cutouts are perfect. The only thing that i don't like is that there is a rainbow affect from the screen protector, & the fact that it looks like a 7" tablet when it's on my hip. But that said this case was definitely worth the wait and money.
I appreciate that review but I own the case I'm just curious should I take the built in screen protector off or take my screen protector off
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Im not having any bubbing here. I would its the self healing tech 21 protector thats causing the otterbox protecter to stick and make bubbles. I would take off the screen protector and put just a cheap one on. And keep the otterbox one on as it helps keep dust out of the case. Buts that just my opinion based on the thinking that a nice self healing screen protector is going to be wasted under there anyway.

This is what I want to do but nobody has confirmed that it will or will not work. I don't want to drop $60 on the defender and it be unusable. Now that I have had a tempered glass protector I could never go back to a plastic protector!

Necessary to install a screen protection.

Hi everybody. My Note 3 was protected by a screen protector. I just remove it right now because the pen let some marks on the screen and its very annoying. Also, I have the Samsung Flip Cover the one with the screen. My question is should I put another screen protection or its not necessary? It is easy to scratch the screen.

Screens do get scratched and you must need a protector.
Sent from Galaxy Note 3 SM-n9005
I wouldn't say it's easy to scratch the screen. It is possible though and it's much cheaper to replace a screen protector than a screen. Sounds like you were using a cheap plastic one. I'd recommend you look into a tempered glass protector which will not compromise the look and feel of the device compared to plastic protectors and you certainly won't have any problems with the protector being marked with the pen.

WOW... I have been using one for 2 months now... never scratched it. PLUS you can get a new one for the price of shipping from them as they are lifetime.
I recommend a screen protector with ALL S view cases. they tend cut into the screen at mid point. Temper glass should be better. Get one with smooth edges though.
I have a tempered glass screen protector that I bought on ebay for about 8 dollars. About 2 months ago, and it looks great on the phone. Doesn't compromise the looks of the screen and doesn't scuff up when I use the pen.

As for the s-pen leaving marks, you could try using a a different tip. Your Note 3 should have come with extra tips, if you look closely they are different.
