I am having problems trying to change my PRL?
I tried using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1211157
I get all the way to where it should show the port# but I guess the drivers or something is wrong?
Here is a picture of my device plugged in:

What should I do? I can't get past this part? All the drivers installed correctly so I'm not sure what is going on?
Right click on device on one of the tabs it should show port number.

I just tried that and it says:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
It says that for all of them when I right click. I also click on update drivers automatically and it doesn't find anything. Should I uninstall Drivers and re-install them I guess?
Nvm! I re-installed them and the same thing?
What driver package are you using?
Google usbdeview.exe un install all moto drivers reboot computer.
Plug phone in let computer reload all the drivers.
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
Right click run as administrator some times is needed to install.
Some times a clean install of windows is needed.

How about installing the LG drivers?
Soooooo that's the prompt to tell me to install the LG drivers?

Yes, it is the fricking generic XP prompt telling you that it needs the fricking drivers.

Hi fiends, I'm facing a serious problem with my USB tethering. The connection is getting lost frequently even though the symbol for the usb tethering still remains. To regain my connection, I have to first uncheck (OFF) and then check (ON) the tethering option.
It is not a fault of the service provider because I checked it with my w810i.
I am using 2.2.2 v10d and my pc is running on win XP.
Is that XP's problem or is it my phone's firmware's problem or some other problem ..???????
Pleaseee HELPPP!!!!
Use dialup

OK, I found a really cool app on the market here
It's called wireless adb! It is really easy to setup and work. Just open the app and press the green button. Then on your computer, type "adb connect "ip address here: port"

This does require root, but it is still worth it! Have fun
ALSO, I DID NOT MAKE THIS APP IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. I AM SIMPLY PASSING ON INFORMATION.
It is a very nice app a few roms have it built in.

Thanks for this!
Best app ever for adb lovers.
Since this is an app on the phone its not going to work for anything other than a fully booted phone to push/pull files with right? Im referring to being unable to run any commands in hboot or recovery. Its a cool idea but seems like its usefullness would be limited.

If you're in recovery, you could easily mount USB instead of ADB..
In every tutorial I followed, they always told the person to ODIN back to stock before flashing any new Rom.
I've been through many soft bricks and got out of 2 hard bricks due to bootloader flashing bad.
I wanted to ODIN back to stock but my computer doesn't recognize my phone in ADB tools, what should I do.
I was thinking of selling this phone for a iPhone because i wanted to get free apps and avoid paying in the market.
Maybe its USB cord only Samsung ones work on the PC with my phone an Android apk is easy 2 get use Google search

Lol, jokes aside. I agree with Jasonhunterx but you should check your drivers first. Download Samsung Kies, it will re-install the drivers for you. If that doesn't help then the USB cord is something you should definitely take a look at... Also, about the apps... Although me and this site don't support warez, they are out there.
Thanks guys. I updated the drivers and got a new cable. It runs like a champ on the ics passion v9 rom.
You're welcome. Just remember to clickety clack our "thanks" buttons

Can we access internal storage? And if so how? Can we add/delete files?
Yea. Doesn't give option to storage when USB connects. Was just asking the same thing.

Select "Media Sync" - It uses MTP and the device will show up as a separate drive in Windows Explorer.

My home PC is WinXP and MTP no-workee. I installed Airdroid and it works great. It's a decent workaround.

I have the SDK on all my machines at home and work just so I can do stuff via ADB. I'm not a developer or anything, just comfortable with cl interface from the old DOS days. It didn't occur to me but that could be why MTP works on my Win7 box. I honestly don't know enough to answer that.
So this dumb @$$ flashed recovery like this fastboot flash boot (recovery).img and now im screwed. all I get is CWM. anyone know if this is fixable? I cant get into bootloader or get adb to recognize my device
If you get into CWM you should be able to push ROM into your SDcard. So you can adb push ROM there and install it from CWM.

I can't get adb to work. I wont find my phone. I now get HTC MTP Device installation failed
Have you tried wiping your data
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
Yeah, I've wiped everything, and still nothing.
Does any one have just the mtp drivers ? I've tried re installing HTC sync and it still says the drivers aren't installed.

I've been messing with it. If I hold down the Vol. Down and power it boots to a black screen. If I just hit the power button it boots the HTC logo and then goes into CWM. I can't get my pc to connect to it at all
I can get this to pop up
